The live performance of this song is exactly the same. taking out the autotunes parts they put in the clip precisely because of Cher
Nope, I can definitely hear the difference in Mitch's voice without the autotune. Yes, he hits the notes perfectly, but it sounds like HIM, not some annoying electronic synthesizer. I understand why they used autotune in the official release - it was because Cher used autotune and they were being true to the original - but I like this medley a lot more without it.
You ABSOLUTELY must see their Daft Punk medley. One of their early covers and they won their first Grammy for it!
PTX not only went for the sounds of the 90's, they went for the looks as well. Kirstie really seemed to like rockin' those big curls, didn't she?

I love how PTX did everything they could to get us involved and invested in this video. The perfect beatbox, the driving bass line, Mitch!, the 17 songs, not to mention the 90s inspired fashion. Speaking of fashion, let’s talk about the queen in the room (not Scott), Kirstie just could not look and sound sexier. What I love most is the mischievous looks our girl got when she was remembering where she was and what she will probably deny she was doing when she last heard these songs.
I totally had Scott's leather jacket in the 90s. I felt so seen lol

They first performed this live at their September 2022 Hollywood Bowl concert….it was amazing live!
I recommend "O Come All Ye Faithful." Yes, I know that's a Christmas carol and it is now May; it doesn't matter. Trust me on this one, if you enjoyed their "90s Dance Medley" you want to hear "O Come All Ye Faithful" as well.
They just tweeted a clip of them performing this in Amsterdam, and the crowd was singing along in perfect unison. It sounded terrific!
A suggestion for a different group. There is a country girl group called Chapel Hart. They did an update of a Dolly Parton song. The song they did was called "You Can Have Him Jolene". This is well worth a listen.I first heard them on AGT. There's also, from that show, a young woman named Nightbirde professionally. She has since passed away, but she's worth a listen too.
I saw this was next and I knew Sam was gonna love it. My son was growing on it also. He was born in the 90's. They do such a great job. Take a look at Daft Punk, it is similar. A great vibe.
They do a fantastic MJ medley as well. Another great one is their Daft Punk medley. Both incredible

Do The Prayer from them & Amazing Grace also...👍The movies you are talking about one was Pitch Perfect & Pitch Perfect 2....PTX was in Pitch Perfect 2. No big hype but at end of movie when the ladies were going to perform for the championship. They showed PTX on the stage in the movie real quick...pretty cool though
The 3 Grammy Awards were for "Daft Punk", "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy", and "Jolene" with Dolly Parton. The nomination was for the album "Evergreen" 😊

They have a live version of this and it is amazing. Sounds exactly the same. No one can say they don't really sound like that in person. Well, I have seen them 3 times in concert and I will say, yes they do!!!!!!

This was amazing, I love all of these 90s hits. I remember being in the club dancing to all of these.
I find it interesting that you didn't run across any a capella on campus in college. Walk past stairwells and anywhere else with great acoustics, and you will hear some a capella group perform something on every campus in America, but especially so in Ivy League and Little Ivys. Other schools as well show this tendency. I recall checking out schools on in person visits with my daughter. When we went to Stanford, Chicago University, USC, and others, there were indeed a capella groups performing on stairwells and arched halls. You must have run across this at least a little bit.

The movies are called Pitch Perfect and Pentatonix is the Canadian group from the second movie so Technically you HAVE seen them before
My favorite Pentatonix songs are Amazing Grace and The Prayer.. I think they won a Grammy for one of these.
I recommend Home Free doing How Great Thou Art even if you watch it for the beautiful scenery in the video - it was filmed in Austria
Amazing Grace and the Pray are excellent but Grammy 1 was for Daft Punk and Grammy 2 was "Dance with the Sugar Plum Fairy" (a song without words performed by a band without instruments) and their 3rd Grammy was with Dolly Parton. They were nominated in 2023 for Evergreen, but they take it well.
Couple of those are already in the works :)

First of all the vocal are freaking unbelievable, and the beatbox guy there’s no instruments. This is all do the voice to the mall I am I was art major music, major in high school played five different service pin this dude beatbox oh my god he’s so on freaking believable.😊
I remember being 6 / 7 summer time back in 1991/1992 dancing to 90's music out the front of where my house was and where my friend was as she would go up to her bedroom open the windows turn the speakers on her hifi system then come back outside so we could dance

i have a question, and you can use this video as your starting point, women, always look amzing, its a given, fashion make up, you get what i mean, , apart from the 80s and 90s, whats happened to men, show more personal style, , we would go out, ben shirman shirt, box jacket, tie, tie pin, , spent more time on hair, not just shave it, , todays men, joggers, spandex and they think, they look cool, when did it stop, i know, because i worked in dry cleaners in london early 2000's. mid 2000's, guys stopped bringing thee shirts and trousers and stuff, or there top jeans that had some style
