There are some more isolated communities in the north of Canada. I worked as a speech language pathologist in Inuvik NWT, Canada and travelled for work to all of the 12 communities in the north of the territory. There are several that you can only reach by plane. Sach's Harbour, NWT, Canada is a small community along the Arctic Ocean with only ~100-150 people. From what I remember, the next closest community to it was about a 2-3 hour flight away. It's a beautiful place!
I used to live in Inuvik and agree. As a nurse I had to fly to some of these communities as a medivac nurse. Also there are a lot of isolated villages on Baffin Island.

Actually on 5:40 the guy is checking the map with the name in cyrillic, called Gavrilov-Yam, located a bit over 200 km to the north-east from Moscow. While speaking of a tropical island. This is strange.
This made me open Google Maps and look for every small island in the world to see if there are available 3D/360 images. What an amazing world we live in.
I've been travelling since 1986 and have discovered some real remote gems around the world. And I agree with some posts here that it's better not to disclose those locations. The most amazing discovery I made was less than a mile from a main road in the Swiss Alps - a farming community only reachable on foot who got by by producing their own wine which they sold to 2 restaurants. I was just curious where a track would lead me - they said that I was only the second foreigner that had ever found them. The last was in 1958! They requested that I keep quiet about the exact location, and I have.

Tristan de Cunha is the heart of the newest continent forming on planet earth. That’s interesting. Can you imagine the fresh air and night sky over such a place?
There is an Oasis town located half way down into Baja Mexico called Mulege, it had a jail originally without bars, inmates were told to abide by certain rules and also know that no one has ever escaped (alive) do to the remote desert surroundings. Today, it is a small town, teaming with friendly people, one of the best little pizza joints that make a super tasty thin crust pepperoni. I stayed here for 9 months. Try to not visit from July to September as it will likely be in the 100's them 9 weeks. Btw, John Wayne used to vacation here.
@roberthuttle, a jail without bars? Sounds like the jail in the hilarious old James Garner movie titled "Support Your Local Sheriff". If you haven't seen it, you should find and watch it.
I was fascinated when I found out about Tristan Da Cunha. My husband secretly ordered me some stamps for my birthday. They took many months year to arrive, long after my birthday. I don't collect stamps, but stamps were all he could get. It was sweet of him.
You missed the best place. Rota in the Northern Marianas is known as the "Friendliest Island in the World". We only have 2500 people and the only nearby island is Guam which is expensive to fly to. I have been here almost 9 years and love it !
Kibber village in northern India probably should be included in this list. It's inhabited year round and located about 13.5K ft. It can be driven to by vehicle, but motorcycle is much more exciting and easier. The trip to get there is exciting, very dangerous and may be next to impossible with the huge snows that are hitting the Himalayas now. Summer trips may not even be possible this year because of landslides and washed out roads from melting snowfall.

It used to be called Barrow, but the Inupiat people have reclaimed their heritage and renamed it. In the summer, it's not that bad, gets about 50 fahrenheit in the summer. The weirdest part is the 24-hours of daylight in the summer, and vice versa in the middle of winter.

Years ago I was teaching sixth grade on the Navajo reservation reservation at Pinion. we walked down to the reservation with 90 sixth graders. that was an adventure.
Another note about Supai village, they only let in a certain amount of tourists at a time. You have to have a special permit and there is a long waiting list to get one.
The most isolated community in the world is the Sentinelese population living on remote North Sentinel island. They are a neolithic tribe living isolated from the rest of the world being virtually uncontacted for over 60,000 years ! They are extremely hostile to any sort of outside contact attempt and it is even illegal to enter the island to prevent their race from being wiped out by diseases that they have no immunity to. Recently they were in the news when an American Missionary went to their island trying to convert the population to Christianity. They shot an arrow through his Bible and then through his heart.
"Be wary that the island is volcanic" many people live in volcanic islands or regions, it's not like living in Florida where you constantly get hit by hurricaines, you barely notice anything throughout your lifetime unless it's a very active volcano

Tristan de Cunha is the heart of the newest continent forming on planet earth. That’s interesting. Can you imagine the fresh air and night sky over such a place?
Es de África no es un continente
My grandfather is from Tristan Da Cunha. Thanks also for mentioning my birth place/home St Helena Island :)
I was fascinated when I found out about Tristan Da Cunha. My husband secretly ordered me some stamps for my birthday. They took many months year to arrive, long after my birthday. I don't collect stamps, but stamps were all he could get. It was sweet of him.
Pitcairn Island is the most isolated island less than a hundred population!
Good looking video, and thank you for sharing
You missed the best place. Rota in the Northern Marianas is known as the "Friendliest Island in the World". We only have 2500 people and the only nearby island is Guam which is expensive to fly to. I have been here almost 9 years and love it !
How does someone make a living in such a small remote place ?
Kibber village in northern India probably should be included in this list. It's inhabited year round and located about 13.5K ft. It can be driven to by vehicle, but motorcycle is much more exciting and easier. The trip to get there is exciting, very dangerous and may be next to impossible with the huge snows that are hitting the Himalayas now. Summer trips may not even be possible this year because of landslides and washed out roads from melting snowfall.

I used to live in Utqiagvik growing up. LOL, it's actually pronounced oot-kee-AHG-vik, except the /q/ is further back than an English /k/, and the g is voiced fricative so it's "dragged" rather than being a hard consonant. It used to be called Barrow, but the Inupiat people have reclaimed their heritage and renamed it. In the summer, it's not that bad, gets about 50 fahrenheit in the summer. The weirdest part is the 24-hours of daylight in the summer, and vice versa in the middle of winter.
Jaw dropping content.... very well compiled 👌👌
Such a nice list, I love isolation naturally and am somehow an introvert so wouldn't mind living in those places except the filthy town since I hate dirtiness.

You might only get one bar of cell reception!
@Solving Politics That is okay. I spend a lot of time at a fishing cabin in the woods where I have to walk about 1/2 mile uphill to get cell phone reception. I actually have a tree stump on top of the hill to sit on.
Usually I can get text messages. So if the family really wants to contact me they can text me.
You probably won’t even have access to any wifi so therefore no amazon and no package.

For isolation try McDowell County, West Virginia. Katsuhira Senpai Where/how did you rent a helicopter to go there?
I think you also have to get Supai permission and a guide to enter their land. I don't think just anyone can go, is that correct?
i believe so, i was at peach springs nearby and got a permit to use s side canyon dirt road that is on hualapai territory. only met a ranger , all day to and fro, felt very lucky to see grand canyon west from the bottom too, c:
Sign sign everywhere a sign. Blockin out the scenery, breakin my mind. Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign.
yes. actually thats pretty recent. i was there 2013..it was completely free to enter except paying for the motel...i guess after it caught people's attention through twitter and ins, it became extremely crowded over holidays. and then around 2016-2018 it got hit by flash flood several times...then they start charge pretty good for visiting there (charge permission by day!) i think locals may feel the visitors disturb their lives too much.
You don't need a guide, but you do need a permit and those are a bit hard to get as it's a very popular hike.
