    This is an excellent recipe. Tried it for Divali and it was the absolute best. My family loved the crumbly texture.

    Thanks so much for the helpful tip of using a strainer instead of a sieve which is a very daunting task and a turn off for me in making barfi. I'm definitely goin to try it with the strainer.

    Hi, I tried your recipe for Divali and it was delicious! Thanks for sharing. The barfi was firm but I think I needed to let the syrup thicken for another 5 mins before pouring it in. I'll try it again soon..

      Hi, here is my recipe:
      Ingredients:
      5 cups powdered milk
      1/4 tsp ground cardamom / elichie
      1 tsp finely grated ginger (or less if desired)
      1/2 cup Nestlé cream
      Syrup:
      1 1/3 cup water
      1 2/3 cup granulated sugar
      1/2 tsp gound cardamom
      1 1/2 tsp finely grated ginger (or less if desired)
      Place the barfi in an 8×11" dish to set.
      Recipe makes roughly 36 pieces.
      Enjoy!

    Is the Nestle Cream and Condensed Milk the same??

    • @joyfuloven
      @joyfuloven  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, no it’s not. The Nestle Cream is less thick and sweet than the condensed milk.

    Instead of cream can I use evaporated milk

    • @joyfuloven
      @joyfuloven  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, you can try. However you might not get the same consistency, taste and texture as with the cream. If you do try, let me know how it turns out.
