    You could always put the stl files together in blender which is free then import them as one object

    Wil Aspire make a .TAP file to run ina Piranha FX or do you have to save as an .STL and then put that into a Vcave to create a tool path?

    I'm wanting to start making headboards and I want to use cnc to carve characters and designs on them. Which machine and what software would you recommend. I'm new to cnc so I would prefer the simplest to use software possible.

      VCarve pro or VCarve Desktop both are awesome programs. If you want to Design your OWN 3-D models then you need Aspire for the program The machine is Going to be about how much money you wanna spend X-Carve is a good starter set up. However There are a lot of machines to choose from good luck

    Been wondering lately what the difference is, thanks for this. I own VCarve Pro and will at some point upgrade to Aspire. Are you able to make and sell the 3D files?

    • @BeeManRobert
      @BeeManRobert  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes as long as you completey make and design them yourself! Keep in mind that you can’t use copyrighted material and then sell it without some agreement with the owners of the image or text

    which is best for learning first, for students?

    Ok, this is what I was looking for- finding out what the differences are in the programs. Now, you said you can only import 1 file with Pro ( from an outside source). I'm new at this! I do photography.. If I take a photo of a lion, I'm assuming that is my outside source? Then I can carve only it- using Pro- If I wished to add a frame around the carved lion, then I will need to do a whole separate cut file? Also, can I take the image of the lion and clean it up in Pro- smooth the lines? That's the big issue I'm having with other software- if it's not clean when you import it...You are stuck! I have seen what Aspire can do in that regard. Yeah, it would be nice to get that from the start. But, ouch of the price!

      You can add a frame in VCarve program without buying Aspire there is a molding tool path for that..
