Nice little intro video. Just one thing, you created a laptop off hardware in the demo, it would have been nice to mention how you would configure discovery and connectors to update that CI class and not Computer with laptops. It’s also quite painful to build relationships in CI Class Manager, use a data load into the relationship table will save a lot of time and use CI class manager to review and amend as required.
Excellent explanation but we are expecting more because we are your followers. In next video what i am expecting, brief explanation about Discovery using Mid Server. Thanks
Actually, CMDB is used is focused on the data which is used to manage assets present or available within IT environment, which includes the understanding that what all assets or services are relates to each other in IT environment. Whereas Asset management is used to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of assets.
Hi , first of all , your video tutorials are phenomenal and easy to understand . By the way , I couldn't find continuation of 'Discovery' in your playlist. Thanks !
Sir, please post a video on discovery application soon. Could not find any useful video on discovery in TH-cam. Expecting from you to get knowledge just like all your other 64 videos.
Greetings Fida, one option for Discovery is CloudScape by Flexera. Flexera has a ServiceNow integration that allows continuous asset discovery, automated service mapping and more.
Laptop is an asset not CI... CI`s are change controlled devices and known more for their business dependency...assets are more known for their financial values
Thankyou Sujit, I need to correct that. Actually i posted the video from developers perspective only. Thank you for the clarity. Computers can be a CI Class and Laptop can be attached or used in a CI as an asset.
