Pea Pods having the ability to grow new heads is actually a really cool idea. One of the rare times an upgrade has an ounce of creativity. I’m not sure if it’s that good of one, but the concept is there.

Even more baffling is that the split pea's two-hat costume has the colors mismatched compared to the heads. the blue hat is on the forward-facing fire pea-shooting head, and the red hat is on the backward-facing snow repeater head.
I was genuinely expecting Winter Melon's costumed plant food to fire a barrage of flaming, icy melons... neutralizing both effects. Just shooting out regular Melon-Pult melons.

They should just create a new pea projectile that acts like a fire pea AND an ice pea. It has the blue slowness but also deals the fire damage and the slowness doesn't cancel out from heat.
The reason why Jalapeno, Imitater, and Squash are part of Wild West is because in the old old version of PvZ2 International, these are premium plants that were part of Wild West. Idk about Threepeater though since that's a Pirate Seas plant but hey Lightning Reed and Tall-nut are a part of Pirate Seas even though they are a Wild West plant.
I do appreciate that Pea Pod's gimmick once you reach level two no longer requires that much investment on your part other than making sure it doesn't die.

The reason why Chili Bean “randomly” kills more then 1 zombie has to do with frames, probably If multiple zombies would successfully “eat” a chilli bean on the same frame as other zombies, the game probably sees every zombie as successfully eating the bean, killing them as a result.

I know you mentioned it but the split peas having their pea effects flipped just feels right and it is actually upsetting it doesn’t work like that. Whoever was coding the peas must have either confused themselves on which side would have the effect or was playing the cruelest joke imaginable upon anyone who knows the purpose of the plant. The split pea could have been PERFECT.
It kind of makes sense that Threepeater is unlocked in Wild West due to the minecarts And its also weird that Poncho cant be killed by Chili Bean even though thats Chili Bean's purpose

Weird Idea, Split Pea should switch which side each head is on after it uses it's plant food. Along with which side shoots what kind of pea for it's levels.
I find it funny how jester works, its basically: Are you a base game plant that he can return the projectiles? YES NO Do you have an special projectile? YES NO
Honestly i can somwhat see the balance in why split pee fires fire pees infromt and snow in the back The fire peas make up for the lackluster pea damaage in the font. So its a slightly better attacker While if zombies do end up in the back. It has the same efective dps. But slows them.

tbf unlike the other reflecting zombies he can move while reflecting (even getting faster) amd has no cooldown on the ability
out of all the PvZ1 plants in PvZ2C, Winter Melon seems SO good. Threepeater doesn’t seem bad either, ignoring the bad pea synergy

They should've made it so that Chili Bean LOSES health with each level. That way, it would be easier for zombies to eat him and guarantee the effect.
Or better not change his health value ata all, hell Hypno stays at 50 health regardless of levelling
Idk being able to use it as a stalling plant with increased health is useful then again his stun should be longer and his health unchanged if so

Theoretically it could freeze multiple (unless there’s a specific check to prevent that), it’s just rarer
