I explain in detail the leveling, differences and more of every international plant in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2. Hope you learned something new! I'm not done with the "Other Plants", I'm just doing this because MANY of you requested it!

The footage for Bloomerang shows it costing -10 sun at level 2, which seems to be a bug with the Creative Courtyard, as this doesn't happen in other game modes. I can assure you it gets reduced by 5 sun at level 2 and 10 sun at level 3.

Peashooter going from the plant designed to be outclassed to being insanely cracked is the epitome of the "be careful of who you call ugly in middle school" meme
They turned a plant outclassed by every other attacking plants in the main version to a top tier main damage plant 💀💀
And they dun turned potato mine into an instant plant 💀💀

The fact that the devs looked at Iceberg lettuce, a no cost stalling plant. And decided that “lol we should give this plant a ranged attack when leveled.” instead of increasing its chill time or some other aspect of the plant, is absolutely hilarious.
They turned him into a knockoff puffshroom, hilariously enough.

@@Sunneh2013 depends on the level, if it's a lvl 1 puffshroom for sure, but a level 3 or higher would definitely outclass icelettuce

It’s so Insane that in this version Peashooter is actually better than repeater. It’s like the developers didn’t bother doing the same thing with both of them.

So the reason why jester zombie doesn’t reflect many projectiles is because in the international version, it creates new projectiles when reflecting, sending them back very quickly as well.
It was practically copy pasted into the Chinese game, and to somewhat back this up, if you notice nunchaku and hammer zombie, they just deflect, regardless of the position of the projectile (that position being low, medium, high) while jester zombies always shoot back at a medium range, regardless of projectile area (for instance, jester will launch back all peas from peashooter’s pf back in a line while nunchaku and hammer just shoot back the same way they came)
TL:DR Jester zombie doesn’t work because the Chinese devs are too lazy 🤷♂️
I always had this funny theory that the Chinese devs were annoyed that jesters was just a rip off of the hammer and nunchuck zombies, so they decided to purposely made it worse

@@shapshapshapshap2829there *was* a pvz rpg in the works, but it got scrapped. only 1 level exists, and its not even finished. Same goes for a pvz sports game, and a pvz farming simulator, though only concept art exists for those 2

The long awaited video has come! The international plants certainly have some wacky things going on with them in China. Time to make International’s leveling look balanced by comparison!
chinese lvl is far better because zombies level too. International is dumb because you get a 25 sun peashooter that kills everything
I mean zombies are also leveled up in later worlds
It's so satisfying seeing Cabbage Pult (who is legitimately my favorite plant) getting such a glow up with the Chinese upgrades
@@CoralReaper707IIRC it did get a niche in PvZ2 international, as its damage maxes out quite quickly, making it more effective than peashooter as you go through the game. Still not great, but it’s still something.
Honestly, I think the levels giving them new abilities is the best way to handle it. The stat boosts are stupid, but giving them new niches as they level up instead makes it much less boring and punishes you less for not grinding.
I find it funny that this leveling system came out before the international’s plant leveling system yet its arguably more fun and unique

Peashooter is the definition of "From Zero to Hero!" From one of the worst plants in the game to one of the best. 2C and Brutal Mode EX really love Peashooter!

@@Taceria RCCH still put Peashooter really high in his Brutal Mode EX tier list. It's more like mods didn't gave Peashooter nice buffs. Brutal Mode and Brutal Mode EX Plus didn't gave him groundbreaking abilities.

I had this idea quite a while ago, nice to see it finally start as a series. This video also made me realize just how different and ridiculous the Chinese version is even more, I thought this could be done in 1 or 2 parts but just the first part with ancient Egypt plants is 27 minutes long
