This really tells you the difference between Naofumi and the other heroes, while Shield bro goes to this island and fights much stronger mobs that challenge him, the other heroes are content with just killing weak trash mobs for easy experience, they don't want to improve, so when a truly difficult boss or mob comes along Naofumi is better off than they'd ever be
Not to mention that the other "heroes" only care about their own experience gain. Not the gain of their allies. Which is another reason they wanted everyone else to leave, instead of willing to just move along to another spot.
My one complaint is that they skipped the part that shows how Bow Jerk runs his party (basically forming a hierarchy where he and that swine Mald are on top and Rishia gets treated, as Naofumi puts it, "worse than a slave"). - I won't go into details, but that does go a long way into foreshadowing what happens latter.
It's like the characters being the characters are there but not their story arcs. Odds are they would back load Rishia's story into one episode, while skipping Mald's devotion. But then again I read a lot of the Cal Mira arc in the light novel pretty fast.

Disagree, grinding is the part where you take a break from the story and become incredibly OP, any good RPG game that rewards grinding well will make the end result worth the time wasted.
Sure makes Aqua and Megumin look bad. But given their affection for Naofumi I wonder if they'd be fine with the "erotic act" involving frog slime that Megumin yelled about that one time.

I like how mature he acts when the other three heroes come along. Instead of wasting his time on a pretty boring grinding spot and argue with them, he just walks away to find another spot to grind. Now that is how you do things efficiently. I'm also kind of surprised none of them asked where he was going and try to rope him into it.
I love how the only sensible and mature Hero found another area and genuinely benefitted hugely from it. Kudos to the story writer with the Boss-Creatures appropriate name: "Karma Dog."
It’s worse when you consider that the island they were first on is full of trash mobs. Like, Naofumi is super cautious and he doesn’t know the layout of the islands, but they’re supposed to know all that. Why the hell are they all bickering over who’s going to farm the trash mobs?
The Light Novel explains this better. At this point in the series, Naofumi is actually super overpowered for his level. Especially after finding out that the other "power up methods" work. He spent a fair amount of time spending all his resources to gain that power. Even more, he didn't know he had an "item drop box" within his weapon that stored pieces of every monster he and his party had ever slain. So, up to this point, the only resources he'd ever gotten out of monsters was what was physically left behind by their corpses. The drop box inside his weapon gave him exponentially more materials to work with (and this drop box is why the other heroes never bothered to clean up their kills in the world or break monsters down into other materials, the other heroes told him the Drop Box thing existed at the round table that was held and they made fun of him for not knowing about it. It actually appears in his menu once he's told it exists and goes looking for it. This is what convinces him to try the other heroes methods of powering up.). Anyway, the other heroes are all on this one island because the monsters there are giving them amazing experience and they are a real threat to them. Naofumi, on the other hand, spends much of the Cal Mira arc trying to find a decent place to level. They end somewhere around level 80, and even then, not much was a challenge to them. In fact, most of the drops from the island aren't all that great. He ends up getting the blacksmith guy to use what drops on the island to improve the gear that dropped there, as well as other things, since even the loot on Cal Mira was basically garbage for Naofumi's group. EDIT: You actually see Naofumi using the "drop box" here in the episode when he gives Raphtalia and Filo new weapons. These are weapons that dropped from the bosses they've been farming. They've been farming the bosses because they're the only decent chunk of XP on the islands for Naofumi, and so he ends up with a ton of their drops. Later on, when you see the penguin suit thing, he's actually got like 3 of them and they've got pretty good bonuses on them (though the stats are junk for their levels).

He just needs to take the shield of wrath and he alone would solo Konosuba's demon generals (including Hans and Vanir), the Trio, and possibly almost solo their Demon Lord. Similar stuff would happen if we put Subaru in Konosuba's world.
Considering how bad the heroes are in the source material I doubt anyone's in a hurry to make this a game. It doesn't have any stand out mechanics either.
