My mom had this song as her alarm clock as a kid, she used to sleep in my bed. I never really thought about it until I was an adult. This song will always remind me of my mom, who I'm lucky to still have around.

Felt loss before. Never knew Maple, never will but she always seemed so gentle. There was an obvious bond. I myself only felt similar once. Treasure it, even if a new bond is formed an old friend is never less important.

I played this for my 13 year old chocolate lab named Buster when he got sick and we had to have him put down. He had cancer and before it got too bad we decided to go ahead and do it. I played this for him as he enjoyed his last ride to vets office. I recently have gotten a new puppy and now am playing it for him while he gets use to his crate so it can help him sleep. This song makes me happy for all the memories I have and will make with all the dogs threw out my life. Rip Maple and Rip Buster
I lost my chocolate lab at 13 too... It's so rough, but we really did give them both long, happy lives. Who knows, maybe they're playing together in doggie heaven. :p

I had a dog when I was very young named Buster, I'm not sure but he might have been a Chocolate lab and I think he'd be about 13 or so nowaday, we had to rehome him when I was maybe 4 or 5.
I lost my dog - my best friend - Sam (named after Samwise Gamgee from The Lord of the Rings) two weeks ago due to a heart condition that he had. His health really deteriorated the last couple of months resulting in his lungs filling up with water to a point where he couldn't breath. Fortunately my mom made it to the vet somewhat in time, but he passed out when they arrived. The vet was able to give him some drugs which I sincerely hope eased his pain before he was put down a few minutes later. Unfortunately, even though I tried, I wasn't able to make it to the vet in time thus not being able to say my final goodbye. These last days have been really difficult; it breaks my heart that he was suffering so much (without even so much as making a sound) and that I was such a lousy friend not being by his side right there at the end when he needed me the most. My thoughts have been really dark lately. But seeing Maples happy brought back some happy memories I have with Sam. I wrote this comment on one of your other videos. To commemorate him I just wanted to tell his story again and, thus, remind anyone who has a pet: please cherish your time with your loved one. Even though it's a cliché, your time together really is limited. To my sweet boy: I hope you are someplace as beautiful as in this video, free of all the pain and agony you were in the last couple of days. I hope you're doing all the things you enjoyed. Im so, so sorry I wasn't by your side when you needed me. Know that I look up to the sky and think of you. Know what there'll always be a special place in my heart which is reserved for only you. I'm so sorry. I am a dog lover too. Even though we know 'the day' will come eventually, it's always a huge shock. You sure were the best friend to Sam. Wishing you peace during this difficult time.
One of my favorite quotes when it comes to our beloved dogs is: *"Don’t Cry Because It’s Over. Smile Because It Happened"*. Allthough it may be worn out, it`s still true. Rest in peace Sam.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Both of my dogs passed away this year and I can’t even look at pictures of them without getting sad. They were with me from middle school until my siblings and I graduated college. My 14 year old Yorkie was slowly dying of kidney failure and had to be euthanized. One of the hardest things I’ve ever had to go through in my life. My other dog, a 15 year old Bichon Pekingese mix, died just last month in his sleep and complications from heart problems.

Felt loss before. Never knew Maple, never will but she always seemed so gentle. There was an obvious bond. I myself only felt similar once. Treasure it, even if a new bond is formed an old friend is never less important.

I played this for my 13 year old chocolate lab named Buster when he got sick and we had to have him put down. He had cancer and before it got too bad we decided to go ahead and do it. I played this for him as he enjoyed his last ride to vets office. I recently have gotten a new puppy and now am playing it for him while he gets use to his crate so it can help him sleep. This song makes me happy for all the memories I have and will make with all the dogs threw out my life. Rip Maple and Rip Buster
I lost my chocolate lab at 13 too... It's so rough, but we really did give them both long, happy lives. Who knows, maybe they're playing together in doggie heaven. :p

I had a dog when I was very young named Buster, I'm not sure but he might have been a Chocolate lab and I think he'd be about 13 or so nowaday, we had to rehome him when I was maybe 4 or 5.
I had an art teacher who'd play this every day at the beginning of class. It was my first class so it really fits. This brings back a lot.

I lost my dog - my best friend - Sam (named after Samwise Gamgee from The Lord of the Rings) two weeks ago due to a heart condition that he had. His health really deteriorated the last couple of months resulting in his lungs filling up with water to a point where he couldn't breath. Fortunately my mom made it to the vet somewhat in time, but he passed out when they arrived. The vet was able to give him some drugs which I sincerely hope eased his pain before he was put down a few minutes later. Unfortunately, even though I tried, I wasn't able to make it to the vet in time thus not being able to say my final goodbye. These last days have been really difficult; it breaks my heart that he was suffering so much (without even so much as making a sound) and that I was such a lousy friend not being by his side right there at the end when he needed me the most.
My thoughts have been really dark lately. But seeing Maples happy brought back some happy memories I have with Sam. I wrote this comment on one of your other videos. To commemorate him I just wanted to tell his story again and, thus, remind anyone who has a pet: please cherish your time with your loved one. Even though it's a cliché, your time together really is limited.
To my sweet boy: I hope you are someplace as beautiful as in this video, free of all the pain and agony you were in the last couple of days. I hope you're doing all the things you enjoyed. Im so, so sorry I wasn't by your side when you needed me. Know that I look up to the sky and think of you. Know what there'll always be a special place in my heart which is reserved for only you. "But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world...”

I’m so sorry for your loss. Both of my dogs passed away this year and I can’t even look at pictures of them without getting sad. They were with me from middle school until my siblings and I graduated college. My 14 year old Yorkie was slowly dying of kidney failure and had to be euthanized. One of the hardest things I’ve ever had to go through in my life.
My other dog, a 15 year old Bichon Pekingese mix, died just last month in his sleep and complications from heart problems.
