- Maple crossed over the rainbow bridge one year ago today. Cherry and I miss her every day, but I feel so lucky to have spent so many amazing years with her. She lived a long and happy life, filled with so much love and joy. I found putting this tribute together for her emotionally cathartic, being reminded of all the wonderful times we shared together. Israel Kamakawiwoʻole's song has always been special to me and I would often play the song for Maple but never released a video until now.
Until we meet again, somewhere over the rainbow, I love you Maple.

Yeah... From someone who has lost tons of pets over the years, it does hurt like hell, and over time it usually does become easier somewhat, not that we forget any of them but just that more day-to-day chores, worries, and memories rush in trying to fill the holes. And I don't know if I am accurate in thinking this but lately, I am feeling that videos, photos, and everything kind of makes it worse, and works as a double-edged sword.
One day you are doing alright, and then suddenly you will remember one photo, one video, one memory, and all hell will break loose. Most of us are not content creators, and even fewer feature our pets in those contents - I am not a bad pet owner or anything but the amount of memories he has with Maple is much, much, much more than what I will ever have with any of my pets... I am glad that I am not him. Hope he is in peace right now.
And he posted on Instagram with Cherry about 4 months back apparently, just checked - and while Maple will always be missed, we might see cute little Cherry here one day, not replacing Maple but filling the shoes and adding her own style. :)
Maybe he needs time to work through grief
Stopping this account / Accepting that Maple is gone is part of the grieving process.

Remember, maybe Maple wasn't here for your whole life, but you were there for almost all of hers, and gave her the best life she could have ever wished for. She knows she was loved. She doesn't just live on in your heart, but in countless others too.

If anyone is worried and wondering, he is active on Facebook and Instagram. There have only been 6 posts since this video. Cherry turned 6 in October and Maple would have been 14 in December. Cherry and his human enjoyed Christmas together shortly after. June 16th marked the second year since Maple’s passing. That is the most recent post. Always good to see that Mr Trench and Cherry are doing well💘

She passed away on 14th august, 2018. Its almost been 5 years, and I can't help but miss Hazel, my best friend, my companion. She was there all throughout my childhood, showed me that loving someone goes beyond words and that it sometimes takes the greatest love to simply be there for someone, patiently, understanding and gently. Hazel, you are missed every moment.
A good friend is hard to lose RIP Hazel and Maple ❤
It's okay to be sad that she died. Just don't forget to be happy that she lived.

I've never been so sad over someone else's dog's passing away. Started listening to you guys since more than 6 years back - La La Land. I was losing my direction in life when I came across the tune. The arrangement was so touching and the way Maple so enjoyed, so was at one with your music, your every note - all that made my soul really comforted and my spirits lifted up.

Well said. I never thought the passing of someone I never met could have such an impact. Brought me to tears, I can only imagine how Trench felt. I guess it's a testament to the love and joy Maple brought about. I'm not religious but I truly hope against my own beliefs these two get the chance to reunite one day.
Imma play this for my grandma. She passed away today. I didn't think of this until I was riding home and the sky had this weird beautiful rainbow hue around this particular cloud. I know she's above the rainbow looking down. Let's make the world a better place than when our precious ones left it.

Rest in peace, you beautiful doge. Having lost 2 of my dogs to cancer in the past 18 months, this brings a tear to my eyes. Our dogs love us with such unconditionally pure souls. They leave this world so peacefully, like their tour is complete. I sincerely and with all my heart hope that we will met them again in our future lives.
I revisit this video every few months because I need to be reminded of the love that exists in the world

I lost my childhood dog almost a year ago. She was my soulmate, and I miss her every single day. This was her favorite song, which I sang to her on the night she died. I still listen to it any time I need to feel close to her again, so this video is an unexpected treasure 💕
I remember loosing my childhood dog shortly after my second brother was born. It hurt so bad, he had been there my whole life and I’d never gone a day not seeing him. That was 11 years ago now and it still hurts to this day but the love you share with them far surpasses the pain you feel. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Hey Trench-- my own senior pup passed away in February, and I would always sit and watch your videos with him, and sing the lyrics to him (when applicable). Losing a pet is never easy, especially when you've bonded so tightly with them. I had had my boy since I was about 5-6 years old and I'm still actively grieving. Know that our pups are playing on the other side of the rainbow and can't wait to see us, and they know how much we loved them (and continue to).

How does someone remind me of all the happy memories in my life in a few short minutes of music? I’ve never cried over someone else’s pup until I met your Maple, and it brings back my memories of my Diamond and so many others who have lost treasures of their own. It’s a literal blessing when one of your videos drops, and I stop everything I’m doing to watch and listen to them.
By the way… six months ago, in a sea of comments, I asked for a full version of What A Wonderful World. Whether or not you saw that… thank you, Trench.
Watching this on the anniversary of my cat dying 1 year ago. I am always grateful for what we had, and although our time was finite, we still spent a good 11 years together. I love her more than anything else in the world, and won't ever forget her.

I have 2 beloved dogs, they have been with me for years and the music is just as soul stirring as when the time comes for me. Sometimes there are those so blessed to have a friend along for even a small part of life's journey. The animals always provide us with unconditional love and are angels in the dark moments. God bless Maple, and all those kindred souls who share the same path, kindness and love given to this man on his journey.

I'm a Christian, but I want to believe that there's a place for everyone else, even for animals, b'cuz if I can't believe it, my reason to stay here on earth will vanish like rainbows. I have an old dog, who's about 12, almost 13 now. She was a stray, we found her starving at a gas station. I was only 8 at the time and yet I taught her to be comfortable eating and living with us. I made her comfortable in a new land she wasn't used to, not very long after I had moved across the country, which was just months before finding her. We explored this new world and grew up together.
Now, she goes to me for comfort everytime there's a storm, or everytime her arthritis causes her pain. Her and I both have arthritis, for different reasons and different kinds, so we go through it together. I'm grateful I know the pain and remedies so I can be there for her.
I'm going to be broken when she eventually passes away. I've dreaded it for over a year now, I hope she lives for a while longer without having a painful existence, and i hope she can go peacefully and painlessly in her sleep whenever it's her time.
