the fact she didn't know there was a deer behind her makes it more beautiful
Not nearly as beautiful as you though
POV, if reality television was actually "real"!
I don't know, the framing of the video would indicate she was expecting something to be in shot with her.
@@ficklefingeroffate - you could be right. She might have been expecting the possibility of something showing up. However, it still appears that she genuinely didn't realize something had.
However, with the framing of the shot, I'd thought it was to balance the harp creating a diagonal to the left and the tree creating a diagonal to the right as well as having nature as the central focal point between the 2 diagonals instead of the person being the focus and not having the symmetry. Maybe I was reading too much into it.
@@ficklefingeroffate I don't agree with you. She was truly spooked and I don't think she knew it was a deer, otherwise she wouldn't have gotten scared. I would have preferred that she continued playing after she calmed down and finished the song.
I've seen this happen alot. Playing music and animals come to listen.. I sat playing my guitar in a woods and I suddenly realised there was a badger right next to me. Ha...i just said hello and Carried on playing.. He stayed a long time... What an experience.....

I got in a yelling match with a red squirrel because apparently he wanted the tree I was in, well... fuck you squirrel this is my tree, bark one more time and you're breakfast.
@@scotthull9535 it probably would only do that if it saw you as a threat or maybe it had young nearby....
Why were you playing music in the woods?
It's ironic that a deer silently snuck up on you during "The Sound of Silence."

I’m 72 years old the sound of silence is my favorite song and the deer just add so much to this beautiful song. Thank you.😊❤
If I may be so bold as to ask you what are your thoughts on the cover made by the band Disturbed ? Just curious is all. My uncle loved the original but he passed before I found said cover.
@@Kazeshini11 for the longest time I hated disturbs version of the sound of silence. One of the reasons I did not like it was because it started out kind of nice and calm and quiet, and then he got really loud and was screaming. But with music sometimes strange things happen… I started loving the song about two years ago. I cannot think of the lead singers name at the moment but about a year or so ago in concert when he was on stage he let the audience know that he suffers from depression and had thoughts of suicide. I think he might’ve saved some lives by telling the audience that. Sometimes kids don’t want to get help… But may be hearing that… That they too will get some help with their depression.
I like this song too. She played it really well
“Lips red as a rose, hair black as ebony, and skin white as snow,” and she’s got deer coming up to her while she makes sweet sounds in nature. She’s Snow White, guys.

Happy wags and not frightened flagging~
Lol. It is cool the deer came to listen, But if you go to the very beginning of the video, you'll see the deer has a hunched back. It's pooping. Deer wag their tails in several ways but that particular wag is the "I just pooped wag", used to dislodge any pellets that got stuck. The more you know. 🌈⭐⭐⭐
@@johnvanegmond1812 Come on man! You had to spoil the moment!! 😂
I suspect this was shot somewhere in the Eastern US in an affluent area where deer aren’t hunted as much and regularly fed by people. Many of the deer in this region are accustomed to humans and it was likely coming in to eat and not listen to the harp. I could be wrong, but I think the young lady lives in a Northern Virginia McMansion where the deer come around every afternoon to hit the buffets left out for them. She had a great idea for a video with the harp, but I bet she could have been playing a kazoo and that would have happened.
Not all tail wags represent happiness in animals the same way dogs do. Like someone else said, deer was probably cleaning its ass lol. Doesn’t mean the deer was any less enamored by the music though for sure
I feel like music is like speaking with your soul, the language of animals, so they are drawn to it (just like us)

The deer couldn't quite make out what it was looking at and what it was hearing that's why it kept getting closer and circling to the right bobbing its head up and down moving it side-to-side. That is probably the highest level of flattery anyone could receive
That deer was listening to the sound of silence, a sound they've never heard in the forest before and never will again
I guess there is a chance it is true that animals would approach Orpheus to listen to him playing the harp.
Orpheus played lyra, Väinämöinen played kantele (in Finnish Kaleval mythology), Naomi plays harp - the effect is same.
Wow, I wanna play a harp
Orpheus was always my favorite tale. Just always felt in someway relatable. The faith and effort with a hinge of doubt that eats away on his journey. Like he was so close to his goal only to fumble inches from the line
@@iiifreddydiii2578 Ah yes having your head chopped of so it could sing forever is so relatable am I right.
Orpheus is my favorite Greek story
She didn't hear the deer when it came. Only when it left. That's incredible
Edit: It's funny how y'all are arguing about this. Just enjoy the video guys.
She didn't hear it when it left either. She saw movement when the deer came into her peripheral vision.
We truly are silent creatures
@@kxmode how do you know weather she saw or heard it it’d make more sense for her to hear it because if you watched the video she gets startled by hearing the deer then jumps and looks behind her she definitely heard it.
@King Pop Exactly. 👍 Her delayed response was a perfect example of how peripheral vision works.
@King Pop I personally think she heard it when it jumped in the woods but we can't really know for sure unless she's the one to make the statement 😅
This is the most beautiful sound this deer heard in his entire life, and is probably still haunted by it to this day.
That really was beautiful. Everything about this
It’s amazing to see how wild animals can get closer when they don’t see any threat ! The music is beautiful btw.
@@tammcphail1995 what fence line???
@@tammcphail1995 is the fence invisible? Because I can’t see it 🤔 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My daughters were sun bathing they fell asleep and when I looked out the window there was a Ground Hog taking a nap with them. By the time I got my camera it was gone. I always wished I could have gotten a nice picture.
They is a fence around the trees it’s one of those wire fences I’m gonna guess it’s a farm animal
@@Mini-wd7qz by the trees at the back or the trees next to her? I can’t see shit, and if the fence was next to the woman, how come the deer was able to run through it with no problem? 🤨
How the turns have tabled..the deer spooks the human 😂
This was beautiful!
Josey Pussycat 🤣😂 yeah the turns have tabled!👍
This is myfav comment so far 😂😭
Also the way that the music cuts off is so cinematic somehow
@@jenniferflores3360 he said it the wrong way round on purpose

Thank you for leaving in the ending! I loved seeing the genuine reaction🖤🦌🖤
Wow this is like a fairy tail 😍😍 😊😊little by little the deer came to near her because of the magical sound ❤❤
"Deer is startled."
Hooman is also startled.
Also, love how the deer approaches and twitches it's ears, as if trying to figure out these strange sounds.
Is sure the deer just had a bad eyesight and was curious about the sound. After walking close it saw the human and run away

Ketsi is sure of nothing
@@Noop-Noop56 im 100% sure this is the case

My friend played her flute in forests and said animals would come and listen to her play. I’ve heard birds sing to songs too.
🥺🥰
😭❤️
yeah, those cartoons were the animals gathered around the flutist weren't lying
I played the harmonica for an emu once. Bloody hated it, wouldn't stop thumping at me
I’ve seen a flock of small birds soar around in pattern while watching an outdoor classical music concert. They were very close and seemed to enjoy the music.
Deer are extremely curious. They will investigate car radios to see what all the noise is about.
Not sure what was the cutest, the deer or you jumping at the end. Nice playing.
