    Thanks for showing your sewing room. It's not messy, it looks organized to me. You have a lot of sewing stuff. Especially the fabrics. Love it all. Enjoyed the look into your studio.

    Hey hey. Fab room tour - thanks for sharing! It might not be show-room-ready and that's precisely what I love about it - it really is being used, you're having fun creating... That's what it's all about! Lovely to see how you've been using this rearranged space - I've been wondering how the new set-up with bolts, etc is working out for you. Congrats on moving to your new place!

    I liked your expression: “If I go down a sewing hole.....”. I loved the tour and was fascinated with everything you’ve collected. I would be interested in seeing what type of sewing machine and overlocker you use. From🇨🇦 and I’m just getting back to sewing again and interested in making some simple clothing and my own patterns. Huge thanks to you for future things I’ll learn from you.

    Your craft room reorganization has given me so many ideas! Thank you for going into so much detail. I don’t have a sewing room more like a corner in my dining room but now I have better storage ideas! I can’t wait to get a new desk and organize my fabric

    Aw, I love this! The only time I've ever seen a craft room that's completely tidy is when it isn't being used (that includes mine). And girl, I feel ya one the "messy spot" for me, that's my work table, because if I have a project I'm stalling on I put it there so I HAVE to do it, or I'll run out of work space.
    I bet its really awesome to have all that fabric, especially with the pandemic. I used to go to the fabric stores when I was feeling uninspired, but now I only go when I have a specific item/material I need. That said, the inability to casually shop has made a significant dent in my project backlog....

    I love your sewing space! It screams creativity! And I love how you showcase all of your fabrics! I remember when you did that video, I have yet to organize my fabrics neatly and want to use the process you so kindly shared with us! My sewing space looks similar to yours...so you’re in very good company my friend! Congratulations on the new home! Looking forward to seeing your new sewing space!

    I haven’t seen my sewing room since March, I neatened and organized it before I left home in New York. I miss it! When my room is tidy it’s not a good sign. When it’s a little messy it means I’ve been productive. I love how your fabric is organized!

    I so appreciate "realistic" room tours! It makes me feel not as guilty for being a messy person. 😊 I think Pinterest has made us all think that things need to be "beautiful" to be organized. If having a perfect, beautiful space is what motivates people to be productive, then cool, I'm happy for them. But it's not necessary for everyone, and certainly not for me!!

    when things get back to normal, and you're traveling again, think about coming to Budapest, Hungary. there's a fabric store line called ''i love textil'' and they have amazing fabrics for like, 2 pounds a meter. (also the city is beautiful, so if not for fabrics then come for the sights😃) i love how you keep your fabrics rolled up! on one hand, i hope one day i will have an at-home fabric store like yours, on the other though i really like to use up everything i have asap and it lowkey frustrates me when i have some nice colors or patterns but have no use for them. the struggle is real😬 i hope to see more of your makes soon!! x

      I travelled to Budapest long before I started sewing. It is such a beautiful city! I’ve always wanted to go back so it’s back in my list of places to visit again. This time though I’ll be visiting some fabric places. Thanks for the tip, I’ll be checking it out!

    I was wondering if you have advice on buying fabric. Do you buy a whole bolt because it's cheaper? Or is it better to only buy for the project that you are doing, rather than buying fabric and then eventually finding out what to do with it? I know it is super easy to buy fabric because we are obsessed with cute designs.

    • @TheCrafterpreneur
      @TheCrafterpreneur  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I tend to buy in 2-3 meter measures. Sometimes I’ll be buying for something specific. Most days though I’ll buy because the fabric is cute and I’ll find a use for it later. I do t like to miss out on a great print since they don’t hang around. Generally most of the fabrics I have, I can picture an item or two from them as I’m buying. If I can’t picture a garment, I won’t buy it.

    I love the way u have ur room. I have a small suggestion. I think u could get away with getting a pallet, putting cardboard on it, stacking ur bolts of fabric, then taking one of those big office plastic wrap roll and wrapping ur fabric up on the pallet. Then all u need to do is move the pallet very carefully. And u won't have to worry if ur fabrics will fit in a box on the bolts. Just a thought. U might not like it. If u feel like it u might think putting cardboard on the outside of ur fabric before wrapping it is better, I think it is.
