      Excellent! Ya, multi-link to controllers is the fastest way to set up knobs and sliders in FL Studio to parameters on VSTs and plugins! If you're new to beatmaking, you may like my free beatmaking book:

    I wonder if i could map midi cc to the piano roll itself, like for example if i want to midi cc sustain pedal to a key and make it act as keyswitch, just like how most vst works (ample sound..etc)

      I'm sure you can.. there is software out there like BOME where you can trigger stuff based on MIDI press.... itsGratuiTous.com

    Hi! Very informational video! I accidently pressed on "Reset" on my Modulation Wheel Remote Control thing, and now its gone, do you know how to bring it back?

      I think you have to start a new project.. I'm not sure.. You can relink it to an individual VST if you need to in that current project. itsgratuitous.com/

    My FL studio doesn't auto-detect any links... everytime I create new instrument (VST) I need to link vibrato again...

      @@itsGratuiTous Thanks mate! Your videos (plus this one th-cam.com/video/5lTDnAx0sgE/w-d-xo.html) were very helpful for me. Finally I understood the basics after 10+ years of music production xD

    Learned a lot here. I was searching for a way to assign the main volume to a knob on my MPK Mini. I was able to do it in FL Studio 12 just by hitting the "Multilink to controller" button, moving the main volume, and voilà! Just as you are explaining here.
    But I've made a tiny jump to FL Studio 21, and that way I'm not able to do it.
    For now, I'm just assigning a knob of my MPK to the master channel on the mixer.
    The funny thing is that old projects made with FL 12, which have the main volume assigned to an MPK knob, work great.
    What am I missing?

      @itsGratuiTous  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah that was confusing for me, too.. I'm not sure if Image-Line let us know publicly they changed that workflow..
      The new way is to automate the MASTER volume fader like you've figured out.
      I guess it's doing the same thing at the end of the day, and is now required to fade out a song so you don't get a super long ending with lots of silence time added I noticed..
      Let me know if you have further questions!:

    Can you link a specific midi note to a controller key?

    • @itsGratuiTous
      @itsGratuiTous  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think you may have to change what type of message the note is playing. If you rephrase your question, maybe I can understand better.

    can you link one of the buttons on the oxygen to a button in fl such as a button to open tempo tapper or turn on metronome?

    • @itsGratuiTous
      @itsGratuiTous  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sometimes if a button in FL Studio has a shortcut, you can assign a button on a MIDI Keyboard Controller to do it through MIDI Scripting..

      No this only works with MIDI Controllers. This is the MIDI Keyboard I personally use and recommend to my students:

      Make sure you've enabled your MIDI Controller in FL Studio's F10 Settings (F10). Here's a tutorial: itsgratuitous.com/setup-midi-controller-flstudio/

    I am rapidly dying inside by simply trying to link a single audio clip’s x modulation to a patcher knob

    • @itsGratuiTous
      @itsGratuiTous  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, try opening a Control Surface plugin, which creates an "internal controller" to be used throughout FL Studio. I'm not sure if Patcher would be able to see that.. I don't use Patcher too often.
