I tried doing this simply for the main volume knob on FL studio and there is no option to do that. So theres no way to be able to slide the volume up and down as I play using my keyboard? I dont understand. This is the most basic thing you can do is turn main volume up and down with a controller, I dont even need to get into a plugin or synth yet, still struggling to get basic control of the most basic things....????

    • @FireWalkMusic
      @FireWalkMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Hi, I know. Some controls can't be linked and it's primarily the transport controls. You could automate the mixer master fader instead, or add the fruity balance to the master, and link it to the volume knob there. In any case, just make sure to reset this to default when you're done with the project.

    Hy 'FireWalk'.
Today I've watched some of your clips.
I know every producer use other techniques and that's good, but there are new helpful ways (powered by you) that I try to understand and use in the future.
Mostly are the kick and bass parts the hardest (for me) and to make a good structure.
I use 'FL STUDIO 11', because...
So it's always better if someone like you show something that can use in these older versions too.
I don't know if you made that, but it would great if you show how to make a wide stereo sound with different instruments (piano the right or) and how to manage the phasing for each instrument that it sounds good in this wide stereo and mono version. And let you time to show it and how to fix (some) problems that it can maybe bring.
And even if you under 100 000 subscribers now doesn't mean that you are not good or are not a pro. So
give nothing of this and make always what you like and think is good.
If you have some time and like listen my song 'SCIFU7E - TRAVELLINK (MIND VERSION l FINAL MIX).
Have fun to make something, nice days and thank you for your work 🍀☕

At 4:48 I can hear my automation recording just fine (same as yours sounds in the tutorial), but when I stop recording the automation event doesn't actually register in the pattern....as if it wasn't recording. I followed the exact steps as you, recording automations is on, and I have the knob correctly linked to my controller. Like I said the effects sound like they are getting recorded, but aren't actually recorded once recording is stopped...why is this? It works just fine recording the automation event when I'm turning the VST knob with my mouse, but as soon as I record automation using my MIDI controller for that same knob, the automation event doesn't get recorded. I've seen numerous people on FL Studio forums also having the same problem, any ideas?

You could make a premaster channel and route everything to it, and then you could link that mixer track to your controller. . It might consume more CPU though.

I'm having issues recording the automation for my Digitalis plugin I just got. I have FLEX opened up and tagged on Digitalis in the mixer fx. I assigned the corruption parameter to a fixed rotary knob and it works fine. During recording, I rotate the knob and it corrupts the signal as expected. However, once I stop recording and listen back, nothing about the automation has changed the signal at all. How can I get those effects from Digitalis to record live? It's great that you can automate tracks' faders. But how to link buttons underneath faders on physican controller to mute/solo track in FL studio?? This could be handy...

It works the same way with buttons too :)

@@FireWalkMusic Unfortunately couldn't do that in FL Studio. Everything works except this 🙄

@@orangejam what buttons did you try to map? The only ones that won't work should be transport control buttons such as play, stop, record etc. Those are usually reserved

@@FireWalkMusic I have learned that mute/solo track in FL Studio is also not possible to map. As I suppose this is because of double function: Mute and Solo. The only way to map "mute track" function is to place additional plugin with mute function and map this plugin to ON and OFF. 😧

Hello. Do you know how to create a set of green notes inside the piano roll, and then have a single key from a midi controller (i.e. Akai mpk mini keyboard) activate those notes? I could not find this information online anywhere.
