Not going for the port in that last game was a big mistake imo. 6-9-3 gave you more production, but you constantly had to 4:1 to pop which was too inefficient. You fought hard though and had a shot in the end, GGs!
Also going for 6 9 3 instead of going down to the 6 sheep which would have broken both ways of his road connect and given road to you permanently. And u had sheep port staring at u and 3 to 1 forever. Look for ways to end their win condition as much as further the 1 your after
I think in the end you will still lose the game. However, the moment you dont take army, red has one card left after buying 2 devs. Chances are that you took the right card away. with your knight and they wasn't able to buy 2 devs. It very much depends on which of those would have been the knight for red since you did not pull the knight, Right after you pull the knight once more, getting you to 6 with the advantage of controlling army. You could still be in the game, but after losing army you were lost. @@ThePhantomCatan
Good games! Definitely think you waited too long to get a 3 for 1 in the second game. It really hurt your ability to keep up as the game went on. Especially with your opponent having so many ports himself
Could you go for 8-4 and 6-5-9 in the first game to city up just pop devs? You are getting better wheat and ore than him and at least as good sheep. Not to mention, he cannot block your 5 sheep or 8 ore since he will be on it as well.
Yesterday I played 2 1v1's and both of them I was unlucky. In the 2nd game my opponent had the win and said that either I give up or we will continue playing. I refused to give up so we kept playing for more than 10 minutes and when I almost had the win he ended the game. I don't know why this game became so so toxic but it's really a negative thing rn in the online catan community. Be normal guys please.
Giving up in 1v1 is okay in my opinion. It's a win. It's not like in 4 player games where you are stuck with a bot. Nothing to blame your opponent about. If they thought they could win the game anymore and gave up that's fair. You won. All good.

You made the same mistake I make in my games sometimes. Didn't make sure you could get road or army until it was too late. Well played anyway.
Second game, after getting the 5/10, would it be better to go to down to the 6/4/11?
Game 1 was sweet!
not taking army was the crucial mistake in the 2nd game
I lose it anyway though right?
