I had a Dodge Dart GT 1968 2 door hardtop ! With a 318 under the hood ! My mom wrecked while I was stationed at Minot AFB , North Dakota ! I also had a 1966 Ford Fairlane 2 door hardtop with a 289 under the hood !
Man what a bummer. I dont like seeing old cars get destroyed like that. Ive been waiting to run into a good deal on a dart for awhile. I have all the parts to put together a 340 sitting, waiting for a reason to be bolted together.
What a bummer. My grandpa had a 1970 Dodge Dart, originally it was blue like the one that got smashed, but then he had it painted purple. Every lock had its own key ‘cause he would brake the key or the lock and would replace the lock. I nicknamed it the “Purple People Eater”. He loved it but I hated it. I can laugh at it today. That’s sad about the blue Dart. It’s a miracle the doors were saved. God bless you and Jamie.

ive owned two 1970 darts .. badged as a regal & 770 awesome old Chryslers ….imported to Australia in 69-71 sold as a regal & 770 . you will find them in Australia too..
the 770 came with a 318 fireball block .. & the regal came out with slant 6 ..or v8 318 standard I put a 360 in mine it was out of control . never sold with a manual gear box , all autos .. borgewarner 35 . torqflilte 904 & 727s .. only fault I found with them was they would crack the subframe at the steering box right hand drive .. & door slammer would crack on the body .. grate old cars . love em ..
The G after LL23 means it is a 318 car not a 340 , if there was an H after LL23 it would be a 340 car.Source is from the Mopar numbers Guru book of Galen Govier and me being a Mopar guy for over 40 years.

Sad to see that happen to the Dart. I have a Plymouth Duster which is Plymouth's version of the Dart. Still some good parts left on that Dart. Parts aren't cheap for those cars. I just bought a new driver door glass for mine.

@@ClassicTruckRescueJust mentioned it since you were talking a 1970 Mopar. With the Commission(paid by the Buyer) it was $145K which based on the pictures was pretty pricey as this car was not at "concours" level quality based on the pictures I saw.
Like I said....I Don't really pay attention to cars that sell for what I can live on for several years. I like looking at them...but yeah...I'm not rich.
Im a Mopar guy, well kinda, i have a 99 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 for the farm driver. but i have a 2001 GMC Jimmy for a summer driver, Black witha sun roof, and a 96 Red Ranger, heck i have a variety.
Me too my nice condition 83 ltd foxbody with excellent interior got flooded broke my 💔😢 but its ok gutted the carpet dried it out now hope its ok! Should be its all mechanical👍

Your red Tractor seems to have grown in size and gained a backhoe on the back its a pity about the tree falling on that car but living in a woods it is something that will happen lucky that it was not one of your better trucks.
That Dart may be savable Rick yeah I can see the roof is pretty stoved in "but, if all the glass is removed and you put a nice thick oak beam through the window areas of the car supported on heavy duty trestles then use jacks sat on the beam with flat squares of wood between the jack end and the roof it might be fixable. With the beam in place carefully jack the roof back up get it into a reasonably good shape then panel beat the rest and use a combination of files and maybe some leading to get the shape just right followed by a skim or three of filler and then re paint ... I reckon it just might be doable ... just an idea. Ok just watched the rest of the video yeah now you've pulled it out and I can see it it's in a bit of a mess to be sure but to someone who's motivated enough to want to at least "try" and save it it might be fixable with a bit of work .... and some help from the car gods. The only other way is either a complete roof replacement and maybe a new trunk lid (or soft top it) or find a donor car and rebuild / re body it.
I appreciate your positive attitude and I agree with you completely. I did not buy the two Darts to "Hoard" I have plenty of videos previously that demonstrate me trying to find new homes for them. I do still think someone could make something very cool out of these two classic Dodges...or at the very least...that their parts could get a lot of their Brethren back on the road. You gotta show em some love assure them they're in good hands and everything's gonna be alright I'd go as far as to say a little sweet talkin here and there doesn't hurt either ... but standing back and saying "show me" ain't gonna work lol. You gotta be prepared to put the hours in "and pour in the love to bring that Unicorn back to life', you're saving a piece of history folks treat her like the Gem she is coz the brutal approach will bring nothing but tears.
I never use the chainsaw anymore without my chaps, cutting hardhat and gloves. The saw bucking and running across my chin once was enough for me. Keep up the good work, Rick.

Need to get an arborist or a good woodsman to inspect the trees around your parked vehicles. Then move what you have to and cut out the bad trees.
Check Ebay. Restoring this/these cars would not be cost effective. It would have to a labor of love.
Beyond Repair it’s never cost effective to restore a car that isn’t super rare, it’s almost always a labor of love
