- This is the PS5 Dualsense DTF RGB Controller mod from ExtremeRate, and this mod adds RGB lights to your PS5 controller! In this video i show you how to install RGB mod on your PS5 controller, and a review of the DS5 mod kit in general! This mod kit is super easy to install compared to the PS4 controller mod, so I’m much happier to be able to review it from ExtremeRate! This is a super simple DIY PS5 mod that anyone can do, and is one of the first PS5 modded controllers available on the market, which is really neat. Thanks to ExtremeRate for sponsoring this video! Thank you for also showing the on/off and color changing combinations. I have to find tutorials every few months when I break the PS5 out as my lights do not automatically turn off.

@@SamFranklin42701 Yeah, Sony made a slight change to the dualsense controller a few months back, the internal board is in a different configuration and I have heard rumour that the actual shell has a slight difference too now, so a lot of the vanity products are currently only compatible with the old style.

Front bezel? Maybe. But for the backplate you'll need the OLED motherboard since the TF Card Slot is different. Also the OLED is ever so slightly wider.

You can get a pre-made one but ofcourse it's more expensive, or you can buy multiple controllers incase.

matte black with red button lights 🔥😍
Mine came with a ribbon cable that had to be taped at different areas to the right-side trigger and a 90 degree angled battery cable instead of a parralel one adding to the difficulty. Still, was happy it worked in the end.
Instructions unclear… my controller turned into a microwave…

So, if you turn your console off, do you have to turn the lights back on each time you turn the controller/console back on? Or will the lights auto-turn on every time you start up your controller?
I actually saw this as a missed opportunity for Sony. I would have thought lighting would have been included, especially in the base controller or the dual sense edge, with the main buttons for x o ^ and [] buttons being rgb in the PlayStation colors. Would been cool.
It’d be pretty cool if you started taking submissions from subscribers and did it for them and made a little series out of it. Because people like me have to much anxiety of ruining their controller by doing it themself LOL love the content
It work pretty well at first. Like about one week everything was fine, but then one day there was no lights on, and "square" button and" up" and "right" arrow buttons was all the same button
Happens with most factory products when you disassemble every part and put 3rd party accessories in it.

I literally just bought the white ones and using you as my tutorial. Because my gaming headset is white i thought it will be nice to get the controller white buttons with rgb

@@quinnsccj8453 you can use the controller for pc, I only have a PC and use a PS5 controller with it, there is also a program called DualSenseX so you can even use the adaptive triggers even if a game doesn't natively support them
