It fits the lyrics, but also may be indicative of the role he literally 'plays" in this song... which is trivial, mudane, simplistic, and monotonous. As a drummer - I empathize with him. This song is not a showcase for his abilities... LOL

First off, I have to say that the PMJ videos have to be one of the best damned things going on TH-cam, if not the best. With that said, and with the preponderance of trolls on YT, I have to wonder why nobody noticed the wire clothes hanger on the floor, started to complain about it and then started whining that it ruined the video for them. OK, I'll get a cookie and go back to my room now.

The girl's voice is reminiscent of Connie Francis, and if I closed my eyes and just listened, I could almost swear this was a real song in the 50's she sang, though it never happened. This was a nice listen. (Check out Connie Francis' "Blue Winter," which is reminiscent of "Blue Christmas.")
I normally don't go for country and western style of music, but this was delightful! Every time I think I have PMJ worked out, you turn it all around. Thank you Kate, Adam, Chip and of course---Scott. You are all awesome.
