Nice insights! Less stress when on autopilot. You don't approach the tee nervous or concerned and just stripe it down the middle, which does make the game a lot easier. Taps ins for par become routine, if your approach game is halfway decent. I try to bring my writs back to the correct impact position inside the target line over and over again. It does breed consistency.
Great video. Scott is so confident. Really is good enough for Champ tour. This is a great segment Michael I wonder how he is practicing driver? On range or late afternoon on course on a tough hole…
A perfect example of what he's discussing is Moe Norman. Moe would practice endlessly and he got to the point where the ball went out perfectly straight every time. It may be boring but I'll take it.
I love this incite on the driver. I honestly thought I was the only one that believed in boring golf. I have the self proclaimed ugliest swing in golf... but I find fairways 265 to 280 everytime. My friends and ppl and join with will stand on a t block and muse over shot shape and invariably lose strokes off the tee because they believe they can replicate driving range luck or 30 do overs they get at the range. With my ugly swing I will play almost any 7000 yrd course at 4 to 7 over par with strokes lost due to putting
Not really. I mean it might not hook crazy but if your fitted fade driver spins say 2300 rpm, and then you start hitting draws and spin drops down to 1800, you have virtually no room for error because the ball will fall out of the sky
@@kourt2469 Sorry, to clarify I don't mean with the same driver. I would recommend playing one shape and being fit for that shape. But, that shape can be a low spin fade or a draw.
@@lawbinson oh gotcha yeah for sure. A certain driver design doesn't guarantee a certain shape. Definitely comes down to players ability to control club path and face angle but an optimal fit driver would ideally be setup to match your desired shape

@ you have to make so many birdies to win one of those if you’ve got a professional in your group who just made a video saying he hasn’t hit a bad drive in three years you should probably have him hit driver every hole
Wrong , ive played dozens of rounds with lpga players , canadian tour players and they all hit driver every where even remotly possible , they just take different lines over trees and over hazard and they all convinced me to start hitting driver every where..mind you we all play tips .but the teaching pros will hit driver 4 or 5 times on my home course , hence why their not playing pros ..stats say the closer to the hole you are the lower your score is

Good stuff, keep it up!

Thanks! He makes it seem like block practice on the range since he only plays a few times per month
Dude ain’t no unicorn lol
Does the Decade Golf program have a humble brag section?
🤣🤣🤣
I agree with the sentiment on one shot shape, but a stock shot combined with a low bunt fairway finder is handy to have.
👍👍👍
Bruce Lietzke played a fade his whole career, took lots of time away from the game and would come back and pick back up right where he left off.
Love it, one shot shape makes golf easier!

Boring golf = good golf, thanks for watching!

Not a beauty contest - all about score. Swing your swing
Not being a dick. Are you happy with being a 5 handicap from 7000 yds?
The draw that doesn't draw. You can take it from there.
Maybe I’m still an amateur, but if someone hits 250+ yard drives fairway, I am amazed. Maybe cause I can only drive 200 yards
Scott, what kind of numbers do you have on your driver, launch, swing path Etc
He has a video with Good Good & I think they talk numbers. He also goes through in his program
I wish I had a fairway finder.
👍👍
Never heard of this guy. He’s not a unicorn.
🤣🤣
I hit driver ok, 10 to 12 per roind. My problem is missing with irons.
Got a video coming out today to help
Learn Stack & Tilt. Then… you will hit your hits pure
It is possible to shape it both ways and not have it duck hook with a fade biased driver. But, nobody is good enough to do it.
Play the percentages 💪

168 ball speed? Ok.
Great!! 🚀
Pretty easy to do if you’re fit and know how to use the ground well just need to swing the club 112 ish - 114
the driver should be a fairway finder
Dunno about that - pros only avg 57% short grass 🤷🏻♂️
If you can hit a driver on every hole, you must be playing a very boring golf course...
🤣🤣
Have you ever played a member guest?
You're not really incentivized to play anything safe, ever. Your playing partner can bail you out.
