      ZX135US-6....reduced tail swing...really useful & versatile for residential . We run a 245 for water/sewer line

B Molleur Been watching your channel for a while love it in October I’ll be running a subdivision 8 inch C900 7 hydrants two tie ins it’s going to loop I live here in rock springs Wyoming I do a lot of work for the city broken water lines hydrants some mains but never a subdivision have a cat 315 LCR for the laterals what’s the lowest size excavator you think I could get away with to do the main

Josh Andicoechea what do you think of the 315. I’m looking at one in the future and one concern I have is the over the side capacity. I have a .75 yard bucket I’d like to put on it but would be worried about it being tippy stretched out

@@joshandicoechea5866 Glad to hear brother! Go get em. 7 Hydrants sounds like a lot of pipe fitting. The CAT 315 is great machine really versatile. It's saying its pushing 108HP. When it comes to main, I wouldn't suggest going under anything lower than 150HP. Looks like 320 CAT pushes 162HP & wouldn't get tired on you. really depends on footage though. If you put a big bucket on the 315 guys have probably done the job with smaller lol!

B Molleur I think you’re right about guys doing with the 315 but I want to try to get it done in 3 1/2 weeks but I love my 315 it’s a 2018 with the blade and man I’m telling you I love it I got the rubber track so it’s nice for when we’re doing hydrants or utilities by houses or in on pavement and if you get into a situation where you’re lifting a lot of weight it will hold its own I’m telling you it sure surprised me and the blade is so nice for leveling yourself out if you’re on an incline but you won’t be disappointed it has a lot of power digs 17 feet The really nice thing about it is I can put it on the back of my dump truck I don’t have to have a lowboy so really it’s a great midsize any bigger you start getting in the low boys but if you do decide to get one there more money but the new F series has a lot more room in the cab but I think you’re right cat 320 is what I’m gonna be looking for for this subdivision if I have to rent that’s OK to till I find a good one that’s not 250,000 it’s nice talking to you keep up the good work I’ll definitely keep watching!!!

WOW! Way overkill on the drain field for such a small unit, same with the foundation.

    • @IRONHORSEhomes

Septic systems are engineered based off of amount of bedrooms (amount of people using the bathroom) Even though it was a modular unit, in this case a growing family was living there. 12x50 leach field is one of the most common designs I build. 3 foot frost line per code in my county, plus 1 foot (for footers) is 48" foundation. Bout as small as we can build. Not workin in Florida. thanks for reaching out -
