Thanks for actually demonstrating how it’s done. Most videos show how awesome it sounds but they don’t bother with the minutiae.

Then you might love the new video I put up tonight! I left in my thumbs and all moments of patching and setting some things up.
I am glad you liked the video and thank you so much for the kind words!

Thanks - great job. I’ve been having a blast making guitar fx but now you’ve got me hooked on modular synthesis!

Thank you for the kind words! Devices like Beebo definitely got me into modular/Eurorack as well.
As soon as I get a Hector, the Beebo is going back to my guitar rig full time!

Very clear, exellent explanation!!! i'm finally starting to understand something about modular synth, thank you so much for your great work!!!

It took me a little bit to understand modular and CV as well, there are many great resources on TH-cam for almost every question I had at one point. There are direct parallels to modular/eurorack hardware and how you would connect/patch modules. The Beebo lets us do things without running out of patch cables!

A trivial question: is the Beebo output signal high enough for standard headphones?

Hello! That’s not a trivial question at all!
It actually is too loud, I would use a VCA to be a volume control at the end of the signal chain to set it where you need.

Does the drum patterns module sync to midi clock?

Yes, you can sync to midi clock for tempo but not for stop/start commands via clock send/receive. I do it by using a midi clock in module (patched to the midi in on right side) and patching the midi clock in module then to drum pattern generator itself.

Have you reached the upper limits of the cpu power (especially with using all of the normal inputs and midi inputs at the same time)? If so, is it a problem that you run into often, or a rarity?

      Hi Benjamin,
It really depends on what you want to run from a module perspective, some things are more expensive than others in a patch against the CPU limits. Midi/CV control modules are usually light, so are the VCA and signal routing type things if integrating external gear.
What are you trying to do overall ideally? I would be more than happy to give you a specific answer based on your rig or intended setup!
In general, I try to think what do I need to do most - for instance I often might go for 3 oscillators and leave room for a reverb module and a granular module to create a larger performance patch that I do not need to change often within a live set. Sometimes I have sequencer modules and also midi control going on in the background with other devices in that same patch to/from Beebo.
If I am making a proper synth patch for a recording, I might not need reverb at all from Beebo and load it up with 4 oscillators and other things but still have room left over. Recently, I had been using it to provide FX (dual stereo reverbs and control modules) to both a Digitone and Digitakt being run through separate stereo path ins and out to a mixer for recording.

theres absolutely no way to get cv inside this unit right?

    • @pedaleffected

Beebo is not able to receive CV directly without some go-between externally.
The Hector version is fully CV friendly.
