Can the ADSR be connected directly to the OSC and control level? Would that do the exact same thing? Then you wouldn't need the VCA. I don't know exactly. The VCA might be needed.
You are absolutely correct - ADSR can connect to the MacroOSC Level CV directly. VCA would not be needed on most of the sounds. Some that are percussive would need the trigger still for the full effect but there is something pretty cool about the snare as a drone!
Are the 4 other inputs different from the midi IN? (The one you have connected to the chain) it gives me no sound out of a solid state amp, on synth presets or really any preset that is thru the midi in. I dont think its broken i just think im overlooking something..
Hello, I will do my best to help clarify things for you and feel free to tell me more about what you hope to do overall. The other 4 inputs are not midi, they are stereo capable audio inputs and outputs. Are you using an existing synth patch like one of mine? If so, you would usually need to send midi messages from a controller. I used to use a KeyStep primarily and sometimes still but am more likely to use an Oxi One lately. Without some midi information going in, there would be no sound coming out, which is a good thing, because you want it to only play when you want it to play! I can help point you toward how to make patches and solve things like this, feel free to let me know what your overall goal is and I can try and help from there. EDIT: it also occurs to me that we should talk about settings and if you using a midi controller, are you using the correct midi cable type for your unit? Some models were built with type A or B and on their site, you’ll see which one you have accordingly by serial number. Aside from channels used and all - a few details worth confirming together.
I dont have a midi controller, and ive been using the first input only. Theres some modules though ive found that can only be connected to the midi in and out (?)
There are a lot of great videos you should check out- start with some of the videos from Poly Effects specifically where they run through the modules A-Z. The synth patch specifically here will not produce sounds without midi control as they are. Simply put, they are not made to produce a sound that is controlled by your guitar. There are things that you can patch and some ways to use guitar to trigger or perform a single note (not chords) to be a synth but it’s a bit more difficult to explain before maybe you watch some of the module videos. There are patches you can make that won’t need a midi controller, it can be done all internal to the Beebo, but without a midi controller you won’t get as much as the benefits of what’s possible polyphonically as a synth.
MIDI is a very different thing from audio and such, it’s a really deep topic but there are videos and articles for you to see what can be done and how to use midi itself. If you would like to set time, have a live conversation, I am happy to help you learn things as well offline together.
What situation and how do the add, subtract, multiply etc. modules? Are they what would be considered logic? I can’t make heads or tails of them and it seems like a lost opportunity on my end.
Modules such as Product work like CV logic to multiply for instance. Other helpful modules would be Sum, Difference, and the Attenuverter to tailor and adjust CV. It's based on 5V overall I believe. In the future, I would love to see more done in the firmware for options on CV logic/functions.
You can yes, put the step sequencer to the macro osc module however it doesn’t produce fully the results I’d be hoping for just yet. You may find better results with the Chaos Controller. I’d like to see the step sequencer and quantizer modules interact more fully. I’m hoping some of that gets solved in a firmware update.

cool
very helpful
thx a lot
I am getting back to making more videos again and hope they do help! Thank you for you the kind words!

I am using a guitar, not a keyboard if that helps

can you setup a synth and have the internal sequencer play the synth and then ad effects while it's playing? No midi but all internal apps going
