If you mean MY production quality (as opposed to the movies) then thank you! Of course, being a home studio means that my job and setup are completely affected by the quarantine
If the WHO would have been honest, they'd suggest this channel to pass quarantine time, but they 're : 1. probably not aware of you and your healing capabilities, 2. too scared of the competition, 3. too afraid everyone is gonna catch the Adam virus, and good luck healing that one.
Adam, your recent focus on bolstering production quality is really paying off but I feel it is also important to highlight your growth on screen. Your passion for this film and passion for previous books, like cuphead, really comes across in your deliverance, knowledge and energy. Thank you for creating such excellent content, your growth is inspirational.
I noticed that too. Bit it wasn't distracting. Just mesmerized by the movement. And I like the sparkles from the pendant light under the desk to our left-hand side
Watched that Marco Bucci video earlier this week, it helped me push out this last assignment faster than I expected. Made me realize how I get caught up on small details of things that aren't all that important for the piece. :)
Wow! Really enjoyed this review . Top quality production from you as always 👏. Please I'll like you to make an artbook review on the "prince of egypt: a new vision in animation". It's awesome you won't regret it.
Do you have a mechanical camera slider that automatically wiggles from A to B? That's insane. Gotta appreciate the overall production quality. Also, of course, great talking fluidity and interesting topic! You're incredibly underrated (I know this sentence is so vulgarly used but it really applies here). Congratulations.
The Iron Giant is my Fav Too!!! I am so bumbed that for whatever reason it flew under the radar and I missed out on it at the cinemas, if I recall all the hype was around Disneys Atlantis with Michael J Fox....”Which Obviously saw at the cinema” BUT if i could go back in time id watch Iron Giant a million times over than anything that came out that year at the movies 100%
Oh that’s very possible! I didn’t realize they were released at the same time But I agree, having already watched it countless times- I have no intention of stopping watching it :)
OMG, I totally forgot about the iron giant movie. I remember watching it over and over on the cassettes until it broke 😥😂. I hope the next video will be the art of the iron giant? 😉
I never thought about taking graphic design ideas as inspiration to tell a story. I enjoy many of Brad Birds films including ratatouille and both incredibles. It has been a long time since I seen Iron Giant.
Adam, I'm just now trying to get into art but I'm conflicted on which hand I should use to draw, when I was young i broke my left arm which was my dominant hand forcing me to become ambidextrous for school, now even though I use both hands almost equally I'm not sure if theres an advantage one way or the other. Do you have any advice?
I just woke up and received the notification from your video. The day already starts well, with this dose of daily inspiration... Thanks for that Adam =D
Thank you Adam for making these reviews, they are really insightful .. There's a topic i was wondering if you could discuss sometime, and it is " would rather pursue art, even if it might be an unrealistic dream that is getting self-destructive, or stay and do a job or study something you don't like or even hate, in order to have a more secure future ! "
Thank you very much Ahmad! Regarding your topics, I wouldn’t address them as you’ve worded them because I don’t actually feel like art is an unrealistic dream - and if it’s getting self-destructive I strongly recommend taking a break But I could definitely approach them from a different angle
@@AdamDuffArt sorry that sounded really negative without context, which is not having a film or a game industry where im at, and everyone around literally uses this wording when talking art.
I am in love with the production quality of this video but I think you went a bit overboard here. The movement of the camera makes it hard to focus on you and attracts the attention to everything in the background. (although if you intended to do that, then you have succeeded) While the camera is moving the foreground and the background are moving while you are staying relatively still (at least more still than the environment). So the eye is being drawn to the things behind you and in front of you but not to you because they are moving more than you. One of the principles of animation tells us that the viewer's eye is attracted to movement, thus movement should be used to guide the viewer to the important parts of the screen. Here movement is doing the opposite - it pulls attention from you to the background. If you place your camera still you will be the only thing moving in the frame so all of the viewer's focus will be on you.
the production quality is just impressive considering what the world is going through right now

Hey Adam, you could do a review of a studio Ghibli art of book. Their backgrounds are stunning
I ordered two this week - but the delivery time is long these days :)
@@AdamDuffArtthats great! Cant wait:)
Yes... Yes..Yes.. :D
OH MY GOSH. That will be soo much fun

I love how the camera is constantly moving

I know me too.
I appreciate the nice, clean, calm tone of your set. The natural vibe it creates goes well with the great video quality.

Cant wait to get my hands on this book. Thank You for insightful overview and great new ideas to put inside my art. Just great work your doing here!

can you do a video on your favorite art instructional books?
Beautiful. Thanks Adam! Going thru a bit of a rut right now. I love collecting these "The Art of" books. ❤😍
Well you’ve picked a perfect rut distractor :)

Adam have you any suggestions for artbooks with robots or mechs ? With which i can learn drawing robots and mechs ?
Hey CR - that’s not really my thing, but you could ask Antonio Stappaerts from Cutting Sketch Designs or see if Feng Zhu has any suggestions on that
Maybe you could be interested on The Art of The Witcher
yaaaas

The Incredibles is the best movie ever (not even opinion, just a fact ;) so when I saw this, I instantly clicked.
Please make these videos 16 milion years old :)
You've put "You can find the book The Art Of Cuphead HERE - (US Link):" rather than incredibles 2. The link is right tho :p
Ironically I was just watching a remix by skreezy, and then TH-cam recommend me here.
Great luck for me then :)
