You make a very good point about not getting too "trapped" by the rigid "down-up-down-up" strumming motion. I've seen a lot of YT vids that kind of imply (especially for beginners) that you're not "doing it right" if you don't adhere to this pattern.
Thank you Tomas I am a late beginner early intermediate guitarist and I found your video very helpful and interesting as I find myself doing exactly what you have explained!!!!! Thank you for confirmation that I'm heading in the right direction Thanks. Again Tomas excellent video 🌟🎸👍🌟
Thank you! Tomas..... I saw your another video to understand rhythm of a song and this one is next level up of that, I’ll circle back to this one later.. thank you!
tomas - this is very helpful. i spend hours trying to figure out the strum pattern from the videos of the artist (like Peter Frampton songs). i think i waste too much time doing that. but, i like what you said - "..the essence of the groove that you can translate on your guitar"
thank you. a lot of tutorials don't provide strum pattersn that...fit. its just off somehow. half the chord charts i find don't include a strum pattern at all
If we have a drummer, I will keep adjusting my strum pattern to fit the drumming. If no drummer then I listen to the song carefully and adjust until I think it sounds right along with the other instruments. Each song is different.
What's name of the tune used in your video? I like that type of music to practice with, but I'm not sure as to what it is called... Thanks for this informative lesson...
QUESTION: Hi Tomas, can you please do a video on how to add bass sound to our finger style technique using our palm and also by slapping the low strings with thumb. Those effects really sound good and makes the music sound cool. Please if you could, please do a video on it. Thank you!

Listen to the notes either going up the scale or down and the order, and sync timing while playing with the song.

Hi Tomas, if you could recommend me an electroacoustic?
Thanks for your request, Dr. Deepak Gupta Tell me more about what your price range is, your playing level and the style of music you play.

Sir you started clapping and caught the beat...but i cant. I could not understand which particular music sound to follow to find the beat.
I can hear it in my head. Can't explain it.
