Such a beautiful reaction, those of us born with hearing have no idea or memories of the first time we heard our parents voices or the noises that are around us everyday, so thank you for sharing this..... I hope he's doing well with his implant, he's clearly a very sweet & smart little boy ❤❤❤

For me, it is a wonderful sight to see how parents love their child.
I'm a man but I must admit that this brought a tear to my eyes, what a wonderful thing to do it must be really satisfying for the medical staff involved, bless this child and his family, 😊

@ wahmommie: I appreciate your comment. Drake was born profoundly deaf. He had hearing aids for a year and was not able to hear with them. My husband and I did thorough research and this was the best option for our family. Not an easy one by any stretch, but as a parent you make the best decision you can for your child. I know this is not for everyone, but we DO NOT regret the decision we have made. And Drake loves his "ears" as he tells me to put them on him first thing when he wakes up.
Wonderful video! He goes right back to his toy, yet seems responsive to sounds, and is processing them. Hoping to watch many follow-ups!

i have my 18 months old son with a cochlear implant he always remove the headpiece. does drake doing the same thing too? please give some advice thank you
Sorry it has taken me so long to respond! Drake did take off his CI frequently in the beginning. When he did this, I would put it right back on. After a few times of doing this, I may give him a 5 minute break then put it back on. It was hard in the beginning, but Drake got to a point where he asked me to put them on him in the morning. Its just a lot of stimulation. Hope all is going well!!
