For someone who always seeked the crazy resorts and in your face entertainment , it took HH to change me. Yes it attracts an older demographic , and has a more peaceful laid back vibe because it really isnt a tourist resort compared to other cities. But it has a real charm to it that the others do not. You can find craziness if you want it. But you can also totally avoid it . Bars and restaurants are places to make friends, not just get a beer and on to the next. And the stories. The fascinating stories of how many people ended up here in HH are endless. You stumble upon this great city. And for many of us who did we absolutely love it. Prices are relatively low compared to the tourist resorts as well. I would never choose to come here if it was craziness and pollution that i craved for a 2 week holiday. But by the same token if you want to live your life in a city i cannot think of one more perfect . Where it is positioned in the Bay of Thailand means that you rarely get flooding of any consequence. While the crazy flooding was going on elsewhere in Sept and October it was mostly sunny every day in HH.
Hey there 👋🏼 Thanks for sharing your experience and I agree with everything you say. Although I didn’t get enough time to hear the stories regarding why people have moved there. I’ll have to follow that up the next time I visit. I’m glad you enjoy your time in HH 👍🏼
@@hussmeister ooh you know I’ve suggested the Philippines a while back, hehe. Depending on where you go, best to check the forecast in the area... either country. Ha! I wouldn’t want that to dampen your trip. But hmm… tough decision there, buddy! Can’t really go wrong on either. I’ve seen a ton of videos on both, but your spin on places are always refreshing! And you seem to find spots most others don’t explore!
@@travelingkakabsat oooo thank you 🙏🏽 For some reason the wild weather always scares me in the Philippines so I want to reduce the odds of being stuck in rain 😂 Once I finish up here in Thailand, I’ve got a new location in mind. I’m sure you will like it. At some stage I need to go back to my ancestral lands in Europe, I hope that is as exciting as Asia ☺️

Just a thought- I’d love to see you explore India!! Ha
Wow! Nice request there! I’m like a DJ taking requests 😂 India is on the list but I need to get the logistics right. Philippines or India first? Ha ha
