- We take a customer stock block GSR that made 400HP to the track and see how fast he can get down the quarter mile vs. Alex. Not a bad first attempt on the track with a very very streetable car! It drove to the track, ran, then went street racing, and drove back home that night.

You wrote it wrong when its a stock block its means all factory internals , you should have wrote stock sleeves piston & rod setup dont mislead for views...
Either everybody on TH-cam claims to have a lot more horsepower than they actually have or you guys really are just that badass at tuning. Tired of seeing "500hp" Honda's run high 11s 🙄. This is the content I subbed for.

i been watching you guys through boosted boiz. you guys are a awesome bunch of guys. but since i started watching all of you guys, i recently bought a 95 integra ls its all bone stock. i am looking here in future after all this pandemic is over i wanna build a engine. i can't seem to get straight answers off too many, i wanna do a css block and build an engine from there up. mine isn't a vtech but i know the gsr model came with it, i wanna put vtech on it. on a simple budget i know ill prolly have almost 1500 in the engine if i do a low end build but my question is what way do i go? stay b18 or would a diff engine be better for a build im new to the honda scene. i use to make fun of the ones going through town until i started watching all you guys and seeing what these "rice burners" can do lol it amazes me i know most you youtubers i watch spend top dollar im working on a budget and will be doing it all myself i don't trust many shops in indiana too many people rip you off! anyway i love all your vids guys and the vid that got me watching you guys you were truly Humble and your performance is awesome! keep up the great work guys maybe ill get mine built and take a trip to meet all you guys eventually! thanks for your inspiration and motivation to do my own build!

So this was stock sleeves too? Meaning no css or any cylinder support? Do u know if it was pretty reliable with stock sleeves at 450hp

Just curious is this stock valvetrain? Any options on where the reliable WHP limits would be on a fully stock motor? I have a turbo ITR setup just under 350whp stock with just head studs, Inline headgasket + block guard wondering if a few more pounds would be pushing it. Any difference in the ITR valvetrain limits since the valves are lighter?

The block is stock. The rods and pistons would be considered the bottom end.
The block is stock it’s not sleeved nor does it have a guard

I street race legally, the speed limit in my area is 85 with the light. Highway battle pulls is fun too.
It's over 9000 RPM!!!! You can still get pulled over for street racing and excessive acceleration.

And one more question before I lose this thought... if I have a head with cams, springs, retainers and titanium valves do you also consider that a stock head??????????? I mean it’s not ported and no valve job... if I called that a stock head it would be very misleading. Like what you’re doing here.

Stock block and stock bottom end are completely different. This is cool you could make 400whp on a gsr bottom from honda but yeah the boom will happen from the oem cast parts. Rods and pistons help alot since sleeves tend to go at higher power levels its not a definite number but i know 400 whp on b20s are usually ticking time bombs before the sleeves crack. Even just looking at a k series block you see how much thicker the sleeves are

Stock block is no sleeves or block guard or any modification done to the engine BLOCK ONLY. The ROTATING ASSEMBLY (piston, rod, crank) is not the BLOCK. My fa5 is built similar, pte 6262 , forged rods and pistons and built valvetrain all on a stock k20z3 head and block. Nice work on that hatch man
Sergio Aguirre yes it is , you are literally hearing it from humble performance, one of that fastest allmotor k series hatch...the BLOCK alone unmodified. Once again pistons crank and rod is NOT part of the block. If he were to say stock SHORT BLOCK then it’s with internals included. He is only stating the bare block is factory.. no bore, no Block guard, no sleeves.
you can have stock sleeves but fill the block with epoxy or have a CSS installed which requires modifying the engine block. A stock block implies the engine block has not been modified in any way. You install rods and pistons INTO the block to assemble a “short block” after the head is installed, it becomes a “long block”
A stock block is an unmodified engine block.
A stock SHORT block is unmodified bottom end internals
A stock LONG block is an entirely stock engine.
Stock SLEEVES are OEM Sleeves, but the block can still be modified.
You saw it on the internet, so it must be true.

hey everyone just trying to keep it quick.. i'm about to start looking for a GSR to begin to boost. goal is 400whp give or take on a precision 67/66. tial wastegate sheepey intercooler. cause i want this to be more of a fun turn key street car. I want to change some things like pistons rods head studs valves springs cams etc.. will i need to sleeve it to be reliable, is CSS fine,? stock sleeves? anyone have a basic list of things/tips on parts? gonna be my first build ever but im doing it with my pops.
400whp 91octane.. California here and no E85 near me.. smh
Stock sleeves or CSS is fine but a 6766 is WAY too large for 400hp.
Humble Performance got it, what kind of power levels would I be looking at with a 6266? I want to be able to tune it down and make 4-500 on a lower boost setup but not sure what turbo can provide me that. thanks for the help!
You should be looking at a 5858. Anything with a 60+ is too big for your needs.
