Part numbers would've been a nice addition. Cool video though. I did end up finding them just fine on the site.

When I go to bios and set the video memory size to 512 MB, it does not change and remains 128 MB. Is there a solution?

I need to install a 2230 nvme drive. The mount appears to be ready for a 2280 nvme drive. The manual implies a 2230 is possible. The mount seems rigid... Should i use pliers, and move the mount? Or is it glued in there? I thought itd be an easy unscrew, but its seems really firm.

Hi Dirk, thanks for contacting HP Global Social Media Support!
I understand that you are experiencing an issue in installing a 2230 NVMe drive
I will do my best to assist you.
HP does not recommend upgrading or downgrading hardware parts or software that is bundled with the product as It may affect the manufacturer's warranty and performance, however, you could change the configuration at your own discretion.

Okay, but I cannot figure out the proper standoff specification needed to mount the 2230 nvme drive. There is clearly a hole in the proper space, but there are no details anywhere. Not in the manual. Not on the website partfinder. The manual simply states, it supports both 2230 and 2280 sized nvme drives.

Bonjour et merci pour votre vidéo. J'aimerais savoir 2 choses :
    - Peut-on brancher 2 écrans et les faire tourner ensemble en 144hz ?
    - Pour la carte Wifi / Bluetooth, est-ce que " l'Intel AX210 NGWG " est compatible avec ce modèle ?
    Je vous remercie

Can anyone say what the maximum size sata or ssd drive and the maximum ram this computer can be upgraded to? Can it handle a 1 terabyte drive and two sticks of 16 gig ram?

Yes, you can put any 2.5 sata drive inside if you have an HP G4 Mini with the HDD cage and adapter. It also has two nvme drive slots, but the design does not allow for the cage to be installed with the second nvme drive installed. Two 16gb ddr4 2666 unbuffered non-ecc sodimms will work for 32gb total.

They make 4tb, an even 8tb SSDs. I think 4tb-5tb is the largest Hard disk size available for the 2.5" size. They also make 4tb nvme m.2 drives, which will work in this system. I recommend SSD over hard disks.

    • @Raymond_Petit
      @Raymond_Petit ปีที่แล้ว

@DirkMensonides hmmmm, two sticks of ddr 4 RAM are waiting at my door. I think the specs said they were buffered, I hope that doesn't make a difference. It's hard to know what to buy since a lot of TH-camrs making tutorials are not detail oriented and details matter!

@@DirkMensonides also I didn't know that little detail about not being able to have that second nvm memory drive and the 2.5 Sata drive at the same time. Thanks!

@@HPSupport hello! Thank you very much for the reply. Very glad to get that from a big company.
I bought the Elitedesk 800 G5 Mini used and I would like to install a second NVME. Unfortunately the screw for the second NVME slot is missing. While looking for a specification for that screw I found this video and thought I would ask which exact screw it is.
I decided after that to measure the screw of the already installed NVME and took the measurements of it. It's a M2*3 screw with a 4mm diameter head. I found someone on ebay who is selling these kind of screws and ordered them. So that question has been answered by myself 😅
But I got another question. I'm looking for a Thunderbolt IO flex card for my Elitedesk 800 G5 Mini and I can't find anything, especially here in germany. Are these discontinued?
Thank you very much for the help!
      Wish you all the best.
