Same here. Our petition was recieved Dec .18 in the California office, and I received the I-797 approval on April 23. All thanks and glory be to God and Jesus my Lord and Savior.
Thank you for all of your videos Philip. I followed all of the steps from your videos. I started the process in February and my fiancé will fly to the United State in September. It only took 7 months to complete the process. The most difficult part of the process was finding an interview for my Fiance at the Embassy in the Philippine. This delayed the process by two months. Your videos made this process much easier. I did the whole process without a lawyer and had zero issues with the paperwork. I appreciate your hard work with creating these videos.

Hiii. To get approved for the k1 visa, for a household of 2, you will need atleast an annual income of $24,650 (125% of the HHS poverty guideline), if you're in ALASKA or HAWAII, it's slighty higher. If you're a member of the military, it's slightly lower, you will need $19,720 (100% of the HHS poverty guideline). Obviously the closer you are to these limits, you're better off getting a co-sponsor just to be safe.

Hi Jan and Phil thank you for the video 😊 I received NOA2 with a notice date of 12/9/23. Can you please clarify, nvc should be processing the application within 30 days right? (perhaps by 1/24/24 including only working days and excluding holidays) After on average 30 days, I should receive another email/letter? And then that letter should have on it a tracking number I can use on the NVC website to check the status of the application once it gets to the embassy? Just making sure. Trying to remain patient 😊
Yes you are absolutely correct! You should get the k1 ftp letter within a month. Once you have it, check your status and when it says ready, you can schedule your medical and interview basically.
We got the I-797 on 25 feb 2023 valid till 24 june 2023. But we didnt receive no mail or email from nvc consulate. When we contact them via mail and call on October they said they sent the mail on 9th june (then also shared on the mail with us) but the address they mentioned was wrong . We did fill the correct during our petition but they missed 1 number from my house number and i never received it. So now it's more then 6 months. We did started the process now , done the OFC and interview is schedule. What will happen to the I797 as it's expired by now 😢 we tried co tacting nvc to extend our date butno response . Note : the visa fee page has been changed now (Just FYI) Thanks
Oh my. I'm sorry that's really unfortunate. Especially when it's a mistake on their end. Idk how I'd feel honestly but damn. Idk whats gonna happen with your noa2 but I would just keep contacting nvc, it's not your fault, and I'm sure they'll understand. You guys will be okay, just get a hold with NVC. I'm slightly confused tho, you never received a copy of your k1 ftp letter? Not even a digital copy? They sent me a digital copy but it went straight to the spam folder. I would've never seen it if I didn't keep checking my inbox. But you never even received an email. Did you guys fill out the correct email on the initial i129f? Did you guys also file the E-Notification form?

Just wanted to say I followed you i-129f video and we got our approval a few weeks ago. We submitted September 15 2023. Just waiting for NVC case number and also scared NVC might submit to HK embassy as opposed to Manila.. Still waiting and hoping they send to the right place.

Once you have the k1ftp letter which contains your unique case number, you may go ahead and schedule both the medical and usem interview. They dont do it for you. You have to do it yourself. Sometimes they do send a letter stating that you may begin the process but there's no need to wait for their signal. Just do it.

Only I did pre. I received noa1 tapos email confirmation tapos bank confirmation since credit card yung gamit ko magbayad. I made a video about this too pre. Check it out if you want.
Currently looking into that and it looks like you're right. The beneficiary should only sign the I-134 form is he or she is filing the form in his or her own behalf. @@julienalo7477 according to previous applicants bro, scanned copies are fine. A lot of times, the consuls didn't even ask for the form i134 at all. Its best to have tho just incase
Quick questions, if its fine, - did you include your bank statements for supporting evidence? Or nah? Hopefully its not required. - if the petitioner cant get tax transcript, is a tax return and w2 fine as substitute for that? Sorry 😣. Thank you
Bank statements are not required but they may be asked. In our case, my fiance brought my bank statements, they never even asked for it. You can sign up and make an online account at irs.gov, there you can get copies of you tax transcripts. Again, tax transcripts are advised but people got away with just w2's and etc. In our case, they didn't even look at our tax transcripts lol. Crazy. I know. But I'd rather be prepared than not.

Does the medical has to be scheduled 2 weeks before the interview? I’m asking because on the Slec website it says “2 weeks” however, I’ve seen K1 timeline everywhere and it always over 2-4 weeks interval. Thank you

@@dinojohnson305 they usually do it on the 2nd day of your medical appointment. 1st day is the actual examination and if you pass, you will receive vaccinations the 2nd day.

But in this video you said we can proceed with securing an interview date as long as we have the case number how reliable is this information? Do whichever makes you feel comfortable. We immediately did everything as soon as we received the k1ftp letter and we're doing just fine. The embassy letter could take up to 4 weeks, I didn't wanna wait.

If its at nvc already, you should've gotten a k1ftp letter. Check both emails, check the inboxes and even the spam folder. My k1ftp letter went to my spam folder. Maybe yours as well?
Hi, if you have previously lived in the USA over a year, do you have to get a polics certificate from USA also? It says you need police report from all countries lived in.
Are you sure? As long as you have the k1 ftp letter from the nvc, that letter will provide you the case number which you may use to file the ds 160, schedule both medical and us interview.
@@Jan_PhilipWe do have the case number. The problem is the embassy is too backlogged to take our case thats why it hasn’t been transferred from NVC to embassy yet.
Once you have the k1 ftp letter, you can basically start doing everything. From gathering documents, to scheduling medical & interview. This video talks about that. There's no need to wait for the embassy letter. Take initiative. Watch this video, gather all the documents, schedule your medical and us em interview. Good luck!
We got our NOA2 last March 11,2024,my question is how long does it take for USCIS to send our case to NVC?its been 23days now since we got our approval and our case is still at USCIS.

The us embassy doesn't do anything for you. You have to schedule the medical and usem interview. Correct, use the cgi website to schedule the interview
Hi.. i believe scanned photocopies are fine. I suggest bringing both of them to the interview, sometimes they ask for it sometimes they dont. But you'd rather be prepared tho.

But the approved k1 visa petition will be sent to USEM Manila that may take 9 months. What if we scheduled it already but the petitioned hasnt reached the USEM Manila yet?
No it doesn't take 9 months. More like weeks. From nvc to the us embassy of the beneficiary. That's why you check the status online here at ceac.state.gov If it says ready, you may start filling out your ds160 form, schedule both medical and us embassy interview appointments.
Go to USTRAVELDOCS.COM, I believe you're gonna have to create a new account and your options to pay should be there. My fiance is from the Philippines and she paid the fee in person, because u can in the Philippines. Not sure how it is in other countries tho. Goodluck!

W2 is fine. You can add recent paystubs as well. Tax transcripts are better tho, ask your fiance for the latest 3 tax transcripts, he can get them thru the irs website.
One more thing i pay at the rcbc a while ago 10:00am in the morning then scheduling our visa interview but it says invalid receipt number but i double and triple check it its correct. Is it possible just wait for tomorrow for it to be okay? Because in the paper it says just wait for. 4hrs.
I am the sponsor and my fiance' is the beneficary. I have been married and divorced twice, and she has been married once with an annulment. You stated that she must present certified oringinal copies of the divorce or death. Does my fiance' in the Philippines need to have original copies of my divorce decrees or does she only have to produce an original copy of her annulment decree? I was told she only needs copies of my two divorce decrees and not the originals. You didn't clearly define that part of the requirements.. Thank you for the video. A wealth of information. I don't understand some of the acronyms you used and please define the acronyms.
Most people online claim that you should bring original divorce decrees & death certificates, I'm assuming its the same thing for annulments. But to be honest with you, during my fiance's US Embassy interview, all of our documents were scanned photocopies only. She brought original noa1 and noa2, but that's pretty much it. I think copies of your divorce decrees should be fine but what I think doesn't matter. It's ultimately up to the consul. You can try just bringing the copies, it can work, but I'm not 100% sure. You should contact the embassy or ask others with similar experience. As far as acronyms, tell me which ones you didn't understand.
I just seen a comment from one of my videos, she also only brought scanned photocopies of her fiances divorce decree yet she passed. I think scanned copies could work, you should still double check tho.

For DS160 if the full name of beneficiary is Maria Christina Cruz(Middle name) Panganiban (last name), where do we put the middle name, her middle name is also in her passport so we have to include it just want to know if we should put the middle name with the given name or with the surname/last name?
Just an example, My full name is Clifford Philip Delgado Ong. I put Clifford Philip as my first name Delgado "my mother's maiden name) as my middle name Ong as my last name. Hope this helps.

No because you have to send the physical letter to USCIS. Download the form here www.uscis.gov/i-129f You may fill some lines online but ultimately you have to print it out.
I've got a second letter in the mail that also says on the top United States of American and under that is it says I-797 Notice of Action , and i think its the NOA2 right?? it says Notice Type: Approval Notice, and has a date that says when its valid from, and until, is this the NOA2 ? it arrived about 4 months later after the first noa1 so it must be NOA2 right??
I have a clarification about K1 visa validity that you can use within 6 months. Is it from the date after the US embassy's interview and you got your passport with visa? TIA
I believe its valid from the date you get approved from the USEM-INTERVIEW. I could be wrong tho. Anyways from the approval at USEM to the delivery of the passport, it's about 1 week difference. I'd say just make sure you leave before you reach 6 months from the US Embassy interview approval date. Please double-check this info tho cuz I'm really not 100% sure.

When we checked our case it says that its "READY" and have filled up the DS160.. will pay MRV fee soon but we havent heard from the embassy yet regarding what steps we should take next but they said to wait for scheduling instructions?? To get the noa2 from noa1, most cases are approved within 8 months. Some get it early like 5 months and unfortunately some get it in 10-12 months. It really depends. Best of luck! Thanks for watching 😊

Slr po, schedule both medical and usem interview po. Make sure u do medical first then usem interview 5-7 days later. We never received a physical k1ftp letter po, just the digital. Goodluck po!
We prepared one for me and one for my fiance but they only ended up asking for the beneficiary. I would say tho, more is definitely better. Thats why we prepared 2 cenomars

We paid ours after filling out the ds160 form. My fiancé paid it in the Philippines, but you can do it online aswell. K2 gets a separate visa fee as well. If you have vaccination records, all of them, bring it to the medical.

It only took 7 months to complete the process. The most difficult part of the process was finding an interview for my Fiance at the Embassy in the Philippine. This delayed the process by two months. Your videos made this process much easier. I did the whole process without a lawyer and had zero issues with the paperwork. I appreciate your hard work with creating these videos.

Hiii. To get approved for the k1 visa, for a household of 2, you will need atleast an annual income of $24,650 (125% of the HHS poverty guideline), if you're in ALASKA or HAWAII, it's slighty higher. If you're a member of the military, it's slightly lower, you will need $19,720 (100% of the HHS poverty guideline). Obviously the closer you are to these limits, you're better off getting a co-sponsor just to be safe.

Hi Jan and Phil thank you for the video 😊 I received NOA2 with a notice date of 12/9/23. Can you please clarify, nvc should be processing the application within 30 days right? (perhaps by 1/24/24 including only working days and excluding holidays)
After on average 30 days, I should receive another email/letter? And then that letter should have on it a tracking number I can use on the NVC website to check the status of the application once it gets to the embassy? Just making sure. Trying to remain patient 😊
Yes you are absolutely correct! You should get the k1 ftp letter within a month. Once you have it, check your status and when it says ready, you can schedule your medical and interview basically.

We got the I-797 on 25 feb 2023 valid till 24 june 2023. But we didnt receive no mail or email from nvc consulate. When we contact them via mail and call on October they said they sent the mail on 9th june (then also shared on the mail with us) but the address they mentioned was wrong . We did fill the correct during our petition but they missed 1 number from my house number and i never received it. So now it's more then 6 months. We did started the process now , done the OFC and interview is schedule. What will happen to the I797 as it's expired by now 😢 we tried co tacting nvc to extend our date butno response .

Oh my. I'm sorry that's really unfortunate. Especially when it's a mistake on their end. Idk how I'd feel honestly but damn. Idk whats gonna happen with your noa2 but I would just keep contacting nvc, it's not your fault, and I'm sure they'll understand. You guys will be okay, just get a hold with NVC.
I'm slightly confused tho, you never received a copy of your k1 ftp letter? Not even a digital copy? They sent me a digital copy but it went straight to the spam folder. I would've never seen it if I didn't keep checking my inbox. But you never even received an email. Did you guys fill out the correct email on the initial i129f? Did you guys also file the E-Notification form?

Once you have the k1ftp letter which contains your unique case number, you may go ahead and schedule both the medical and usem interview. They dont do it for you. You have to do it yourself. Sometimes they do send a letter stating that you may begin the process but there's no need to wait for their signal. Just do it.

Bank statements are not required but they may be asked. In our case, my fiance brought my bank statements, they never even asked for it.
You can sign up and make an online account at irs.gov, there you can get copies of you tax transcripts. Again, tax transcripts are advised but people got away with just w2's and etc. In our case, they didn't even look at our tax transcripts lol. Crazy. I know.
But I'd rather be prepared than not.

Do whichever makes you feel comfortable. We immediately did everything as soon as we received the k1ftp letter and we're doing just fine. The embassy letter could take up to 4 weeks, I didn't wanna wait.

If its at nvc already, you should've gotten a k1ftp letter. Check both emails, check the inboxes and even the spam folder. My k1ftp letter went to my spam folder. Maybe yours as well?
Hi, if you have previously lived in the USA over a year, do you have to get a polics certificate from USA also? It says you need police report from all countries lived in.

Are you sure? As long as you have the k1 ftp letter from the nvc, that letter will provide you the case number which you may use to file the ds 160, schedule both medical and us interview.

Once you have the k1 ftp letter, you can basically start doing everything. From gathering documents, to scheduling medical & interview. This video talks about that. The us embassy doesn't do anything for you. You have to schedule the medical and usem interview. Correct, use the cgi website to schedule the interview

Hi.. i believe scanned photocopies are fine. I suggest bringing both of them to the interview, sometimes they ask for it sometimes they dont. But you'd rather be prepared tho.

No it doesn't take 9 months. More like weeks. From nvc to the us embassy of the beneficiary. That's why you check the status online here at ceac.state.gov
If it says ready, you may start filling out your ds160 form, schedule both medical and us embassy interview appointments.

Yes you're right.. but I filled it out for my fiance tho... i just sent her the confirmation code. Her internet connection was slow that day

W2 is fine. You can add recent paystubs as well. Tax transcripts are better tho, ask your fiance for the latest 3 tax transcripts, he can get them thru the irs website.

I am the sponsor and my fiance' is the beneficary. I have been married and divorced twice, and she has been married once with an annulment. You stated that she must present certified oringinal copies of the divorce or death. Does my fiance' in the Philippines need to have original copies of my divorce decrees or does she only have to produce an original copy of her annulment decree? I was told she only needs copies of my two divorce decrees and not the originals. You didn't clearly define that part of the requirements.. Thank you for the video. A wealth of information. I don't understand some of the acronyms you used and please define the acronyms.
Most people online claim that you should bring original divorce decrees & death certificates, I'm assuming its the same thing for annulments. But to be honest with you, during my fiance's US Embassy interview, all of our documents were scanned photocopies only. She brought original noa1 and noa2, but that's pretty much it. I think copies of your divorce decrees should be fine but what I think doesn't matter. It's ultimately up to the consul. You can try just bringing the copies, it can work, but I'm not 100% sure. You should contact the embassy or ask others with similar experience. As far as acronyms, tell me which ones you didn't understand.
I just seen a comment from one of my videos, she also only brought scanned photocopies of her fiances divorce decree yet she passed. I think scanned copies could work, you should still double check tho.

For DS160 if the full name of beneficiary is Maria Christina Cruz(Middle name) Panganiban (last name), where do we put the middle name, her middle name is also in her passport so we have to include it just want to know if we should put the middle name with the given name or with the surname/last name?
Just an example,
My full name is Clifford Philip Delgado Ong.
I put Clifford Philip as my first name
Delgado "my mother's maiden name) as my middle name
Ong as my last name.

I've got a second letter in the mail that also says on the top United States of American and under that is it says I-797 Notice of Action , and i think its the NOA2 right?? it says Notice Type: Approval Notice, and has a date that says when its valid from, and until, is this the NOA2 ? it arrived about 4 months later after the first noa1 so it must be NOA2 right??

I have a clarification about K1 visa validity that you can use within 6 months. Is it from the date after the US embassy's interview and you got your passport with visa? TIA
I believe its valid from the date you get approved from the USEM-INTERVIEW. I could be wrong tho. Anyways from the approval at USEM to the delivery of the passport, it's about 1 week difference. I'd say just make sure you leave before you reach 6 months from the US Embassy interview approval date. Please double-check this info tho cuz I'm really not 100% sure.

You dont have to wait for the embassy, as long as you have the k1ftp letter which contains your nvc case number. You can pretty much do everything.

To get the noa2 from noa1, most cases are approved within 8 months. Some get it early like 5 months and unfortunately some get it in 10-12 months. It really depends. Best of luck! Thanks for watching 😊

I believe if the petitioner left the Philippines before turning 18, cenomar isn't necessary. We played it safe and got mine though.

We paid ours after filling out the ds160 form. My fiancé paid it in the Philippines, but you can do it online aswell. K2 gets a separate visa fee as well. If you have vaccination records, all of them, bring it to the medical.

[Current Cash Value (U.S. dollars)] $ is this for the cash you currently on hand. and then add that to the [TOTAL (U.S. dollars)]
Yes you need to list multiple accounts if you have to. I didn't provide any evidence. Current cash value just means what's worth currently.
