You are supposed to apply more to both the headliner and on the underside of the material and allow the glue to get tacky, not wet and the bond will be stronger

Foam backing in my opinion material is better to hide any imperfections from headliner board

It was $740 just for my alcantara without backing to do my headliner and pillars

Of course, the backing foam is half rotten anyway

@@gigel99324 not accurate at all. Mine was still fine but I pealed it off anyway. it wasn’t necessary.
It all comes down to how old the car is. For a fairly new car I don’t think the foam will be “rotten”
