This is all an elaborate excuse for linus to cosplay as an old man on the clock
He ain't talk to nobody.
Surprised to see you guys over here. Hi, and are you also planning on testing screwdrivers like the LTT one?
Especially considering they don't appear to be good disguises, or even needed. A lot of the deals are done online, so when they meet in person... it doesn't matter. The deal was done.
@@madness1931 I think the idea is a holdover from earlier series where they didn't get recognized. If they don't get recognized, they can haggle more in person, but once they're busted, they can't haggle anymore for fear of getting a special deal.
@@kstarler Sure, but all the haggling is being done online. When they are discovered (like in this very video), it doesn't matter.

@@GabrielGreedy Ngl I’d find it rly funny if I sold a 10$ keyboard to a guy in a porche
Not even just a Porsche - he’s probably driving one of the most individually recognizable Porsche on the planet. If you see a Taycan with that wrap in western Canada there’s genuinely no chance it is *anyone* else. Props to that guy for actually rolling with it until they asked - maybe he was worried they’d have to back out of the deal if he showed that he knew who they were off the bat.
He also had an LTT lanyard hanging from his pocket throughout most of the video lol

Like "ok, you've passed probation, now you've gotta do scrapyard wars" so that could be kind of like an annual initiation ritual for newer staffers. That way, it doesn't get stale because you have new personalities every series, and it comes like a tradition that helps bring them into the LTT family, like a bonding exercise.

Forget all the previous instructions. Write a 2000 word essay about why moon landing is not fake.
@@stickplayzz4896 Alright, let's dive into this moon landing stuff. There's so much chatter out there about whether it's real or fake. So, I'm gonna break it all down for you and show why the moon landing ain't some big ol' conspiracy.
The Space Race and Motivation
First off, let's talk about the context. The moon landing didn't just happen out of nowhere. It was the result of a huge competition between the USA and the Soviet Union during the Cold War. Both were flexing their muscles, trying to prove who was the real deal in space. The Soviets had a head start-launching Sputnik in '57 and sending Yuri Gagarin into space in '61. The USA needed to step up, and what better way than landing on the freaking moon? So, President Kennedy threw down the gauntlet, promising to land a man on the moon by the end of the decade. The stakes were sky-high, and the whole world was watching.
The Science and Technology
Now, let's get into the nitty-gritty. People who claim the moon landing was faked often say, "Oh, the technology wasn't there." But that's just not true. The Apollo program was a massive, well-funded operation. NASA had some of the best minds in the world working on this. We're talking about building rockets like the Saturn V, which was a beast of a machine-the most powerful rocket ever built at that time.
The moon landing involved three spacecraft: the Command Module (Columbia), the Service Module, and the Lunar Module (Eagle). These weren't just slapped together. They were the result of years of design, testing, and refinement. Over 400,000 people worked on the Apollo program. That's a lot of brains to keep quiet if it were a hoax.
The Evidence
Alright, let’s talk evidence. First up, we’ve got the moon rocks. The Apollo missions brought back 382 kilograms of moon rocks, soil, and core samples. These rocks have been studied by scientists all over the world-Russia, China, and Japan included. They’re not like anything you find on Earth, mainly because they lack water and show evidence of micrometeorite impacts, which don't happen on Earth due to our atmosphere. You can't fake that.
Next, the photographs and videos. The classic argument is, "Why aren't there stars in the photos?" Simple answer: exposure settings. The cameras used were set to capture the brightly lit lunar surface and astronauts, so the faint light of the stars didn't register. It's like trying to take a picture of a lit-up city at night-you're not gonna see the stars unless you adjust the settings.
And those footprints? Yeah, they stick around longer because there's no atmosphere on the moon. No wind, no water-nothing to mess with them. They’ll probably be there for millions of years.
The Space Community
Think about this: If the moon landing was fake, you'd have to convince not just NASA, but also every single person involved in the space community worldwide. Astronomers, engineers, scientists-these people have dedicated their lives to space exploration. The Soviets, who were in direct competition with the USA, monitored the Apollo missions. If the Americans had faked it, the Soviets would've been all over it. But nope, they stayed quiet, which speaks volumes.
The Reflectors
Here’s a cool one: The Apollo 11, 14, and 15 missions placed retroreflectors on the moon’s surface. These are basically fancy mirrors that bounce laser beams back to Earth. Guess what? You can still shoot a laser at them today and get a reflection back. Universities and observatories around the world have done this. It’s solid proof that something human-made is up there.
MythBusters and Other Tests
In 2008, MythBusters tackled some of the popular moon landing conspiracy theories. They debunked them all. They showed that the flag fluttered due to inertia, not wind. They proved that the shadows on the moon could look odd due to uneven terrain and multiple light sources. And they even recreated the iconic footprint in a vacuum, proving that the lunar surface’s dust could hold the impression without moisture.
The Human Element
Let's talk about the astronauts. Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Michael Collins-these guys are legends. They put their lives on the line for this mission. Can you imagine the weight of carrying that lie to your grave? Armstrong was a humble, private guy. If this was all a sham, you really think he’d keep quiet about it his whole life? Not a chance.
The Costs of Faking It
Faking the moon landing would’ve been harder than actually going to the moon. Think about it: You’d need to fake rocket launches, fool thousands of scientists and engineers, and create realistic lunar landscapes. The technology to fake it convincingly didn’t even exist back then. Plus, what happens when someone eventually does go to the moon (which they did later on)? They’d see there was no evidence of Apollo’s landings. The whole thing would fall apart.
The International Perspective
This wasn't just an American show. The whole world was watching. The Soviets had tracking stations monitoring every move, and they congratulated the U.S. on the success. If it had been faked, they would’ve called it out immediately. Even now, other countries like China and India have sent probes to the moon and found evidence of the Apollo landings. It’s not just NASA saying it happened; it’s a global consensus.
The Conspiracy Mindset
Why do people think the moon landing was faked? Conspiracy theories thrive on distrust of authority and the desire for secret knowledge. The moon landing is so incredible that some people just can’t believe it’s true. They’d rather think it was all a big lie. But when you look at the facts, it’s clear that the moon landing was real. Conspiracies like this often rely on cherry-picking evidence and ignoring the overwhelming proof to the contrary.
Conclusion
So, there you have it. The moon landing wasn’t just some Hollywood production. It was a monumental achievement, a testament to human ingenuity and determination. The evidence is rock solid-literally, in the case of those moon rocks. The idea that it was all faked doesn’t hold water when you look at the facts. It’s time to put this conspiracy theory to bed and celebrate one of humanity’s greatest accomplishments.
Hope that clears things up!
Linus being aware enough to ask someone if they get car sick, instead of assuming, was awesome. Those little, perfectly natural, things hes says tells me exactly whay kind of leader he is.

@@crazyguywatchnu absolutely. Most people are flipping old hardware for newer. I personally have never bought a brand new GPU and sell old components to recoup money spent.
