Elvis actually only recorded ONE full take (Take 2) on this song on 14 January 1969. Take 1 was a false start. Elvis did do some vocal repairs on this song (again only one take) on 22 January 1969.

I'm not a rockabilly fan but Elvis can sing anything and stops you in your tracks. I prefer his ballads towards the end of his life 70s.

Rock, Rock-aBilly, and country all together. I like it and like how Elvis can (and does) change styles and genres often. Never know what to expect, but love it all!

I love Elvis' voice, so there's nothing he could sing that I could dislike, but this is not one of my favorites. It sounds as if it's trying to find its way but can't decide which direction to take. It isn't just a fusion of two styles but at least four, and that takes the enjoyment out of it for me. I can see that I'm the odd man out, so to speak. You asked us to give you our thoughts, and that is what I've done.
