I was cruising TH-cam on cake decorating/fun treats and found this. I freakin' love these berries. Gorgeous. There is a fundraiser for St Jude's hospital in Jan and I'm going to make these, love the luster dust too.

My husaband wont be home on valentines day he is taking our kiddo to her soccer tournament and you just gave me the perfect idea. Thank you for sharing. Love how detailed you are. Some other videos i watched for ideas where a bit messy. You did a clean and adorable job on yours.
You said in the beginning that you put them in the fridge to harden up. You aren’t really suppose to do that since the strawberries can sweat and get goopy after you take them out once they harden. Best way is to just let them dry by themselves at room temperature. I love the decorations!
In this case, I left the strawberries is the fridge for about 5 min. no more than that. Yes, they can sweat but that happens typically if you leave them there after they are set in the fridge. Just to help speed up the drying time is not bad and Thank you!

I store my strawberries at room temperature in a place avoiding direct sunlight. My strawberries typically last 2 days, but it's best to make and eat the strawberries the day of preparation.
