We'll see. 4 months ago there was no war in Gaza or the threat of genocide of the Palestinians, or any risk of a regional war with Iran. October is 8 months away, which is double 4 months. Either Biden will fix what's going on with the war in Gaza and turn around the situation in Ukraine toward them winning and not have us committed to a war to 2030 and not risk a war with Iran that will drive up energy prices and shipping costs and harm our economy.... or he won't.
We'll know by October whether Biden is a bigger threat to the US national security than Trump, that's when I'm making up my mind too.

In 2015/16 at the beginning of the Republican race he said Trump was unfit, not qualified and worse, then when he officially became the candidate, Christie campaigned for him, throughout the years, he jumps back and forth

Biden right now is supporting Israel, who's possibly on a path to committing genocide and has a case on it with the ICJ. Under Biden we could be complicit in genocide, which will definitely erode America geopolitically and how the rest of the world interacts with us. Biden is escalating with Iranian proxies which may lead to the US being in a war with Iran and a wider regional war. A regional war in one of the world's largest energy places and which shipping goes thru would definitely harm the US economy. The Biden administration's focus on the war in Gaza and not calling for a ceasefire is risking Ukraine losing their war. They are devolving into political infighting. Zelensky just fired his top popular general, which risk troop morale. But what is Ukraine supposed to do while waiting on American help but devolve into political infighting and blame?
The election is 9 months away. 4 months ago there was no war in the Middle East. I respect Chris Christie saying he won't vote for Trump and will make up his mind over the next 9 months who to vote for. 9 months is an eternity in geopolitics and it's also an eternity for an 82 year old. Biden might have to step down. Perhaps Christie will vote for Biden but to commit at this stage, that's like saying, "I don't care if Biden starts WW3, I'm voting for him no matter what he does." I have little respect for people not noticing Biden's flaws or wanting him to change direction because Trump may be an authoritarian and a threat to our country, but I mean, it's not like the world is a place filled with peace and roses under Biden who promised he's have America lead the world again during the 2020 election.

I am offended that Christie includes Biden as an "awful choice" along with Trump. Biden has done so much during his term and doesn't get enough credit. Unemployment rate at a 50 year low, rising real wages, strong GDP growth, record number of small businesses have started, a rapid fall in the inflation rate, and the Inflation Reduction Act, which is the most comprehensive climate legislation the U.S., to mention a few.

Eh make sense. Especially when people start losing faith in government and institutions countries generally start moving toward Authoritarian figures to solve their problems. Most democracies have more than 2 parties so when people vote for an authoritarian party that ends up losing by a large margin, traditional politicians can use that as a warning that they need to meet the needs of their people better. In the US though, we only have 2 parties, so if an Authoritarian takes over one party, you don't get that warning sign, and they drag half the country with them who don't necessarily want authoritarianism but believe in conservative values rather than liberal values.
The Republican party is broken. But let's be honest, the whole country is broken, including the Democrats. Pointing the figure at Republicans like without them everything would be fine won't solve the underlying problem that Americans are increasingly dissatisfied with the status quo of politics and don't trust the government and traditional democrats and republicans want to just continue the status quo and won't address Americans' problems. Both Trump and Biden are deeply unpopular.
And it's hard to say what's worse a dictator or a President that's engaged in supporting genocide. It's not a good luck for the Republican or Democratic parties.
That's because the majority of white Americans think they way Trump does. The democratic party is culturally diverse. The republican party is not. Trump didn't change the party. He brought out how they really feel. That's the difference.

I don't know who likes Chris Christie over at the View as they keep booking him and I’m often unclear on why. I get a bit tired of seeing him there and feel he has often been too gruff or not respectful enough to the hosts.
And though I’m sure there must be something redeeming about him somewhere, I’m just unclear on how or why he’s relevant to this show. He was along for the ride w/ #45 until he was booted off, and since then he’s constantly echoed “I told you so” sentiments yet hasn’t actually won an election in approximately 98,000 years. I’m unclear about his principles. I do not know why we keep seeing him as often as we do on The View.
Christie makes a great point. Most of Trump's minions end up being verbally attacked by Trump and/or laughing stocks (ex: Sean Spicer).
