Wilson is going to be the Broncos QB for the next 4 years. There's no way around it. Even in 2025 if they cut him it would still be $50 million in dead cap. By 2026 if they cut him it would be $30 million in dead cap, which they might just have to bite the bullet at that point.

They're all human, except maybe for Brady. Kudos to Wilson for getting his payday, though, Bronco ownership can afford this. Too bad for the fans, but who cares about them anyway?

Dude, Russel can’t run a complicated offense. He literally refused to do what his coordinators asked him to do in Seattle. He can’t run through his reads. He goes through one read and then if it isn’t there he checks down or scrambles. Through 4 coordinators he ran the same 5 plays every time. The issue isn’t his throwing it’s his hubris and unwillingness to do anything outside his comfort zone.

After Russell Wilson made the sports blunder of the ages handing his Super Bowl Ring to the Patriots- the Seahawks were never going to be the same. The team needed to cleanse itself. There's no coming back from such an incredible team shattering loss. It will remain the worse blunder in sports for 1000 years. That's why the team was dismantled. Same for Atlanta with their mega blunder of blowing a 28-3 lead in the SB.

It's odd, because no doubt he did some great things. Although he held the ball too long, he still made magic happen while his oline was poor. His deep ball was amazing, and his highlights were so much fun to watch. But I think his strengths come in the form of pulling rabbits out of his hat when things weren't going well...not exactly a winning formula. You want someone stable and consistent you can give a gameplan to execute, not someone to produce a highlight reel of chaos. If things go well with Geno, I think everyone bashing Carol may have to shift some of that past blame onto russ...

I do wonder if it's the environment that's hindering Russ? He left that beautiful stadium surrounded by the energy of the 12th man to live a literal mile high. Perhaps he hasn't acclimated to that thinner air - I think he needs to make some changes, maybe in workout, maybe in snap count or cadence or offensive camping trip. Something. Even with his bad games in Seattle, he showed some glimmer of impressiveness. These games have been hard to watch. I think there's still time to pull it together - he's usually having his best games in the late Fall.
I'm a long time Seahawks fan and where it stands right now, I do feel slightly vindicated. I don't anticipate us making it to post season but I also didn't anticipate Geno Smith having the highest completion percentage through week 4. But that doesn't mean I don't feel just a teeny tiny bit bad for Broncos fans even though we warned as many as we could that they might not be getting the QB they thought they were getting.

Can’t remember what Russ did instead but DK was obviously frustrated. So the next play Russ tries to force it to DK to make it up to him, and it doesn’t work. It didn’t work much the rest of the season. Russ is tough as anyone in the league don’t get me wrong (10 years doesn’t miss a game, he is tough) but that injury really shook him. Carroll is also a good coach. He protected Russ from criticisms and mostly put him in situations to succeed by accentuating his strengths and covering up his weaknesses (we've known for years that Russ can't throw up the middle; something required by modern schemes). Now that Russ is the focal point of the offense, and Hackett is using modern schemes that exploit the middle, Russ can't do it.
But sure, continue with the blaming of the coaches, blame the oline (btw, Russ is on pace for a career high 54 sacks, what happened to the amazing Broncos oline??). I'm glad ppl are now seeing what the rest of the Pacific Northwest has known for a while now.

I said this before the season that Russell Wilson isn't the same. Bronco fans scoffed at me. I knew Colin wasn't doing his HW when he predicted the Broncos to win the division. It was easy to see Russell wasn't looking good last year! He didn't allude pass rushers like he used too. His accuracy wasn't the same. His lack of quickness to escape the pocket made his stature a liability. Seattle's passing game for years was Russell scramble for 15 seconds until someone breaks open. Pass rushers chasing and getting gassed chasing him as he did what Mahomes does now when it comes to being allusive. Now Wilson the future Hall of Famer can't do that. Now he has to be something he really never was, a consistent pocket Qb. Denver just agreed to pay him $250 million for what he used to be. 33 isn't old for a Qb....it is however old for a scrambling Qb. If Colin was the GM of the Broncos he would of made the exact same decisions this Bronco front office did. Lazy research on why Seattle was willing to part with Wilson is what happened. Bronco front office has no one to blame but themselves. Colin has to admit he really didn't do his HW either.

Russell might be playing his way out of the Hall of Fame but he’s welcome to go into the Seahawks Hall of Fame anytime!

The Seahawks made Wilson look better than we all thought. Man's got football talent just needs a good coach.

When the Broncos acquired Wilson, everyone instantly labeled them as the winner of the Super Bowl 😂

Seemed like a perfect play call when hamlet was wide open off the rub route. Hackett might look like a decent coach if Russ was any good.

As a Broncos fan since '86, this one really HURTS!! And there have been some stinker games, but this was the year they were going to turn it around. I can only imagine us now being at the bottom of our own division here on out. Damn!

Seahawks fan. It sucks to see Russ struggling. He's the best QB the Hawks has ever had. After week 1 all I wanted was for Russ to do well as he always had, and wished him the best. Least I could do for everything he's done for us. He was part of the team that made us go to the superbowl twice and even brought us home the ship once. But after the passing of his mental coach Trevor Moawad, I think it's affected him a lot.

Russ is playing like a guy that's completely lost his confidence as opposed to Matt Ryan who just sucks.

Matt Ryan is so lucky they won that game cause the guy was about to have a LOT of trash talk on him.

KJ Hamler was WIDE open on the goal line and Russ just missed him. Kept eyeing down Sutton.

He’s a guy that is predetermined on where he is going with the ball before the play has even begun. This is why you’ve seen for years receivers being extremely frustrated with him
