      Harbor Freight is were I purchased them. I would suggest 3 to make it easier. Also less weight on each wheel so would roll easier.

    I always liked the dashboard on the older version Leafs. My 2019 doesn't come with navigation, or if it does, I can't seem to find it. Where are you getting the replacements from and how much do they cost? 44/45 miles @ 90% charge What happened to 200 + did you not use a bigger newer battery?

      A 62kwh battery is over $10k. I paid less for my 2017 bolt with 6 year warranty left on battery that was replaced.
      40kwh and 30kwh are not cheap either.
      My old pack could barely do 45 miles.
      The replacement came from a marketplace sale where I bought a leaf with no title for $3k. Range is 70+ miles now and I used the hood, bumpers, headlights, fender etc to fix the leaf after getting rear ended.
      Currently I'm painting it and that will be my next and maybe last video. You only way to get a cheaper pack is a wrecked car. Which is a gamble if you can't drive it or at least spyleaf it.

    Could a scissor Jack make this process easier?

    • @nogasproductions9431
      @nogasproductions9431  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes or a pallet jack or lift. All things I don't own lol. If I had a lift and a scissor jack...would of be done by lunch time.

    didnt you have to reprogram the computer to accept the new battery? I noticed you did go with LeafSpy to clear DTCs but unclear what exactly makes the computer to accept the new battery. thanks for sharing

      That is what it needs to get out of turtle mode. 🐢 clear the code and it's ready to drive normally. Considering it's the same capacity battery aka 24kwh in my case or you would need something to fool the system.
      You can run two packs and run only one pack through the shunt. I saw this is a older video.
      Assuming both "can bus bms" are running somehow or just taking a chance? Lol 😆 never really looked into it as I just couldn't find a 30kwh+ battery for decent price.

    What’s the range with the newer pack

    • @nogasproductions9431

      Can do about 75 miles. 17kwh of usable energy. I achieve higher make with the stiffer and lower suspension, wheels and ground effects. 5 miles per kwh is my average

    No way, you got rear ended by another Leaf!?!? Lol!!!! (Sorry, but that is really ironically funny) :-)

      I was rear-ended by a Kia Soul that was rear-ended by a Jeep Cherokee. I was pushed into a Ford Escape.
      The driver of the jeep did not slow down at all as she was on her phone. Everyone else was parked.
      I just left my job ironically late which was right across the road as I had to go right and make a u-turn.
      I did save my car by turning the wheel avoiding hitting the frame rail which would of deployed all the air bags.
      Owned the car for about 8 years and never had any accidents in 15...
      Overall I got 5k from insurance and sold for 3k minus the 900 to keep the car and 700 to put back on the road.
      If I did not have the other leaf that I purchased for the battery I would not had the body parts to repair.

    Use the two batteries bank together in one car. You will have to put the other bank in the trunk of the car. Connect them together in parallel.

      Issue with that is the weight of the battery. As a newer 40kwh + would be a better option and sell this pack.
      It has been done before. The system will not allow more than 24kwh to pass through shunt.
      The way around this is to hook one pack up through shunt and the other without but I believe by now they have something that could merge them better.
      This car is heavy enough as most EVs are. I do like the idea of the moto leaf which had a h2 motorcycle motor in the rear making it awd hybrid.
      It's the most efficient way and cheaper. Even though I don't like gas the price of dc fast chargers can be ridiculous 65cents a kw

      I watched a video blog of a fellow that added a pack to his Leaf. It worked fine until he shut it off, somewhere remote. Something in the software said “No No!”

    • @nogasproductions9431
      @nogasproductions9431  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. He made an aux pack with 18650 cells but...he didn't shut it off when he turned the leaf off.
      The leaf separates the pack in half and disconnects all HV from vehicle. This is why it needs 12v to turn on.
      Still throwing HV when turned off he fried some components. Great job except that. Old video.

    I just the same up grade on my leaf I had a 24kwh with 55 SOH and I changed it to a 30kwh with 75 SOH only problem I am having is the millage meter is jumping from 85 mile to 110 miles did you have that problem ?

    • @nogasproductions9431
      @nogasproductions9431  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If I was to use the ac or use eco I would see some difference but overall I was able to drive normally 60 miles on a charge no problem. Get back with 20-25%. Before I could barely do 30 lol.
      Huge difference in what you can do.

    • @nogasproductions9431
      @nogasproductions9431  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Have you charged it up slowly to 100% with 120vac that may help the computer or doing a 12v reset but I didn't have any issues just more bars and range

      I was talking to Dala he has a you tube channel and mentioned I will need to install a cambridge I am surprised you didn't notice that issue thanks my car was a 2013 maybe your was newer

    • @nogasproductions9431
      @nogasproductions9431  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think it's because you have a bigger battery and mine was the same 24kwh pack just in much better shape.
      So yes if you do a 30kwh or more upgrade you will need to trick the shunt as it will not allow more than 22kw? to pass before shutting down.

      My car was deemed certification of destruction but my geico rep somehow made it salvage rebuildable.
      So it will be repaired by me and i will video it. Rear body panel, half the floor and the quarter panel and all one piece. 👌
