Good for you for trying Chex Mix. It started as a recipe that people would make at home. The original recipe called for Worcestershire sauce and lots of butter. Even cardboard would taste good with Worcestershire sauce and butter. Lombard Street is called "the crookedest street in the world," but it's not even the crookedest street in San Francisco. That would be Vermont Street between 20th and 22nd Streets. It's not as pretty or accessible as Lombard Street, though. Every year there a "Bring Your Own Big Wheel" race down the crooked part of Vermont Street, where adults race using Big Wheel tricycles.
As someone with bad gout at only 40 years old and can barely walk to the bathroom some days, i can really appreciate your step count and travels. I think that equated to 6 miles. But you were also hiking and walking uphill a ton. Thats gotta be an extra 5 miles for sure. I used to do all that stuff. Take care of your body. I'm enjoying your vids they're excellent and I love your upbeat attitude. Cheers from Cleveland, Ohio
Thanks for the lovely comment! It's great to have you here, and I'm glad you enjoyed watching me walk around SF - maybe I'll do more walking-style videos in the future!
It's enlightening to see an outsider do more in the city than most in the SF/Oakland area have in the past 3 to 4 years due to covid. If you're gonna be there for a week or longer and get tired of the city... I recommend looking at buses to see Marin County (north of Golden Gate) and the city of Pacifica (10 miles south of SF with even foggier and colder beaches and forest to hike) Initial British and Asian perspective on the US would be the portion sizes. But with your step count, I don't think it would matter too much. I wish you well ✌️
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have to add them to the list if I get time, and if not, I'd love to make a return visit! I'm actually making a video about trying different US foods if you're interested in my perspective on portion sizes, so do stay tuned for that, and thanks so much for watching!
there is an old joke here in socal (southern california) The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Fracisco. Oh never call it Frisco, the locals will get pissed lol
@@treesandturtles yes me and him have a similar attitude when it comes to keeping saltwater aquariums, check his vid "2 years of running a fish house" to see his setup pretty sweet I also really like Marks Aquatics from wales enjoy the US while your here glad to see you got to experience San Fran after dreaming of it, good vids
Rincon hill hasn't qualified as a hill since it was carted off for land fill in the 19th century. Your list (Wikipedia?) is not to be taken seriously. Sorry. Potrero hill, Liberty hill and quite a few more actual, extant hills are feeling slighted.
I read a variety of sources online to put my list together, and I did mention at the start that there is some controversy over which hills count! I make vlogs for fun and always learn a lot from my viewers, so thanks for sharing your perspective and thanks for the engagement! Every comment helps my channel
