    A palette is a collection of colours that emphasise your natural chromatic characteristics, making you look radiant and healthy. Colour analysis identifies your personal palette by examining your natural characteristics (undertone, intensity and value).
    A colour analysis session will make you discover something new about yourself and give you the knowledge to shop less and better and to improve your wardrobe and style.

    We need more male models on this analysis. It is too bad so many clothes for men are cold/cool or just neutral. Bold, dark, rich and light colors would suit so many.

      I agree. I've noticed the men who wear the most colour on a more daily basis or for special occasions include African Americans (some), Nigerians and other African men, Japanese men wearing Hawaiian print shirts, younger Korean and Japanese men wearing suits. I wish more men wore more colourful clothing, even one item per ensemble.

      Yes in my opinion, half of the clothing for women too are brown or a dirty color. But if you are blonde with blue eyes, you dont want to look like at 'cat woman' or something. (I dont know how to describe). I always buy very primaire looking colors or black or white...

    His eyes were so pale against his skin in the beginning. But with the warm colors they became really bright and intense. Like gems in his face because of the balance.
    I am a winter and when I were a black hat and black earrings my brown eyes truly pop out. But on him a black hat would make him look worn out. So I am glad he got off the black train and found out what suits him the most.
    Camel looks so great on him. But when I wear it, I look sick and yellow. Like I am having trouble with my liver. 😂

    Errol is lovely and his analysis so informative. It’s great to see a male interested in this subject. The distinct change in his skin tone from the cool to warm was so apparent once presented this way. I think he is disappointed in the no black but I believe he can wear black just not next to his face. He would look so sharp in black pants and shirt of the periwinkle purple blue that was so stunning on him.

    I would like to add that although the guy is warm spring (with second season autumn), I think he could also take some colors from the light spring palette.
    That light sky blue in the light spring palette made his eyes bright and the periwinkle wasn't that bad either.
    So I think he could also add some colors from light spring.

    My hack for testing colors on me is : where do my eyes land? Do I find myself looking at the color or at my face? I may like a color that doesn't actually suit me and this is how I test it.
    When I wear a color that doesn't suit me, my eyes always want to stay looking at the color and I almost have to "tear my eyes away" from the color to glance at my face and my eyes always land back on the color. When the color suits me. I only glance at the color but my eyes always land on my face. Now that my hair has turned gray (from blonde), this hack has been invaluable when testing different color values such as tan vs British tan vs caramel vs toffee vs camel.

      It was very interesting to find out that each colour should not be the dominant thing another person sees when they look at you. Yes we do see when a colour looks great or not great on a person, but the concept of what it does for the persons face makes sense.

    The fun thing about male clothing is you can wear really cool ties that are maybe in some of the colors that seem a little more intense. It’s a great way to try those colors out without having to commit to a whole suite or shirt in a certain color that your not sure about. Loved seeing a color analysis on a man, I always see them done on women for the most part.

    For quite sometime I have been seeing an upsurge of color analysis videos in my feed. So far this is the best color analysis session that I watched. Very well explained on why such colors work better than the others. At first I'm not noticing it but after watching this, I feel like I'm more learned on how to spot which color blends well with your skin tone and make you look livelier. It's also amazing to see how different colors within your palette make you look... you can be mature and distinguished to casual depending on what you feel. The green really matured him in a sense where I can see him wearing that lincoln green to work. The honey yellow looked so playful and casual for him... perfect for a casual outing during a sunny day. I'd definitely love a discussion on that on the succeeding videos please. Like which ones to use for dates, for work probably, or for going out during the day vs night.
    Subbed and liked! Will definitely share this to friends especially those who are trying to build their wardrobes.... You don't want to spend too much on clothes that are not even within your best palette.

    I’d love to see a deep winter type (dark hair, dark eyes, cool skin), its what I supposedly am. Which sometimes sucks because I love pastel hair and clothes but they look garbage on me. • @truevas_
    @truevas_ ปีที่แล้ว +11

    The best test is comparing gold with silver and off-white with white colour. Other colours can confuse people who aren’t good at undertones. Plus, I noticed the guy was confused when he had to choose between warm but not bright dark green and cold but bright turquoise green. He was told that a warm undertone is better for him and, at the same time, that bright cold turquoise green is better than that warm green. It’s better to find a bright warm green fabric so he could not be confused

    I wish there were additional colors to look at specifically to help men choose other than rainbow colors because most colors available to them are hard to translate. Black does not work for many men but in suits there are cool grays and warm grays, cool blues and warm blues. I think men need to see that in cloth samples as well so they have a stronger sense of the practical application for them when they are at a men’s clothing store.

    Absolutely fantastic video. And congratulations on your channel. I had my colors done by someone that does the 16 seasonal color analysis and I was diagnosed as a Warm Spring like this guy and it makes perfect sense. To add to my comment, most guys (like him and I) without having this done have an abundance of black shirts, jackets, etc. We are told that black is the perfect neutral, that everyone looks good in it, that it's slimming, etc. And I learned that black is absolutely not in my colorsand that there are some colors that are my 'better than back' colors! After I had my colors done and understood the process it made shopping so much easier, shorter and saved me money. Example: I live in Switzerland and I needed a new overcoat. Normally I would have gone to the store and bought a black one but then I learned that my darkest colors are navy, golden brown (camel) and dark green. So once I walked into the store I went straight to a camel overcoat and tried it on. I looked in the mirror and another customer saw me and said to me 'only you can wear that color. That looks amazing.' I bought the overcoat and a leather jacket of the same color! This works and it makes life so much easier. Which is the reason why I look so much better in a navy blue shirt as opposed to a black one. Another note which I would have never thought about is that since camel is orange based it made my blue eyes appear bluer and brighter. The science behind this is truly amazing. Thanks much for the videos and again congratulation! Sorry this was so long.

    Your videos are PHENOMENAL. I’ve recently learned about wearing the right colors for your face and have been trying to learn color analysis by watching lots of videos. It never made sense and I always guessed wrong, literally every single time. I happened to stumble across your video today and this is the first time I am guessing the right answers and understand why something works or doesn’t. The lightbulb went off. Your method is so logical and clear, thank you so much for posting your videos. I wish I would’ve found you sooner. Bravo regazze!

    My bf is super swedish blueeyed blonde with reddish pale skin, gets sunburnt very easily and every basic color theory fact would categorise him as a cool type just based on his appearence but this video confirmed my suspicions that he is in fact warm toned and probably an autumn type!!

    I was agreeing with everything until you brushed over the light spring colors which looked great on him to choose warm spring when to me he was clearly better in light spring. I was surprised at how good light spring looked on him with his dark hair, but it was perfect. I actually thought that either bright or light worked better than warm spring. To be a warm spring he would have to have warm eyes, warm skin and warm hair. He clearly has warm skin, but I think his eyes and hair appear more cool, which would put him in the neutral bright or preferably light spring.

    I love watching videos like this and I think it's kinda refreshing to see it from Australians, as most of the colour analysis content I watch is from people in America, Korea, and Japan, and most of the ones I watch are ASMR (which is great when I'm trying to sleep, but not when I'm trying to learn), so I'm so glad I came across your channel and I hope you keep making videos.
    I'm curious, how do you define someone's season when they have neutral undertones? Is it possible for someone to be mixture of different seasons (e.g. is it possible for someone to be a little bit autumn but also a little bit summer or winter)?

    • @colouranalysis_studio
      @colouranalysis_studio  ปีที่แล้ว +21

      Hi Caitlin, thank you so much for your comment. I'm glad you liked the video and we are definitely going to upload more content! That's a great question. In the method we use, which is from Italy, there are no neutrals undertones. Of course some people can be very close to being neutral, but there is always going to be even a small percentage towards cool or warm. If I find that the undertone is not obvious it means that the person is close to a season with a different undertone (e.g. someone can be Summer but very close to Autumn, or Winter but very close to Spring). If you're interested in more content we also have an Instagram profile where you can find more info @colouranalysis_studio 💕

      I have very pale skin and I wear neutral foundations. Pink based foundations are too pink and yellow-based foundations are too yellow. I found out that I have a warm toned skin by comparing my wrist to a friend's who has definitely blue-based skin; I looked yellow compared to her. I turned out to be a Clear/Bright Spring on the edge of Winter.

      I've been draped in-person with HOC as a Deep Autumn which sits right next to Deep Winter. I'm neautral-leaning warm and so I am able to pull some colors from the deeper end of Winter but of course, they don't look bad on me, but of course the Deep Autumn colors are going to look better on me because I still need the warmth to match my undertone.

    • @sapphira31
      @sapphira31 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is my question too, although I'm stuck in colors of multiple "seasons", some that aren't next to each other. The only one that really doesn't work is summer, then winter (although there's a couple that seem to). Then spring, (although many seem to), then autumn, most... but not all.
      I think neutrality is a difficult concept (for me), as well as level of intensity.

    I love how for some of us warm season people, we will have some warm colours and some colours we think of as very cool-toned, that look really good and set off our eyes and skin. (Like Errol's periwinkle and burnt orange and his greens. They all really enhanced him. Maybe the burnt orange was a bit the star when on him but his eyes and skin still popped!)

  • @amandasaurin
    @amandasaurin ปีที่แล้ว +4

    (Sorry for my English I am French) His skin undertone is obviously pink (cool undertone) even if the surface of his skin is little bit tan, his hair (Medium ash brown = cool or maybe neutral Medium brown but there is no warmth Inside) and his eyes are light blue with a cool undertone. All warm colors that you try on him are too yellow for his skin undertone. It’s not a beautiful tan, it’s a bad yellowsih on his skin.
    Cool colors are perfect for him !! Navy blue is absolutely the best color for him like Sky blue (like his eyes). Light Cool pink, sage green, lavender, summer green, baby blue…are also perfect for him. Warm brown is terrible on him, but cool taupe or Cocoa is ok (colors similar to tones found in his hair).
    With cool colors he’s complexion does not look gray, it looks fresh, rested, balanced.
    He’s definitly Summer ❤️

    • @SueRosalie
      @SueRosalie ปีที่แล้ว +4

      sorry no, can't agree at all. Undertone is key, and the colours with the correct undertone enhance the eye colour, you don't work backwards. Errol is pretty much textbook Spring anyway. His hair is medium brown but it isn't ash toned. If you want to see ash toned hair on a man, you should see my son. If you put my son next to Errol, Errol's hair would look quite obviously warm toned. To understand undertones (in all things, whether it's hair or house paint) you have to study them in comparison to other colours in a systematic way. A healthy good looking man like this looks good in everything, but it's a matter of determining which is better, compared to what. And doing as demonstrated, you get Spring Warm. It takes time to train your eye to see undertones and to see the effects.

      Hi Christine, thank you for your comment. The whole analysis was 1.5 hours, we also did the test with winter and summer but didn't include it in the video, we thought it would have been too long otherwise. Do you think we should include it next time? This was our very first one so we're 100% open to feedback! We double checked every palette and there was no doubt that warm colours were working better, maybe it's not so obvious from the camera. And yes, we agree, that warm teal was working sooo well! Thanks again and have a colourful day 🌈
