A colour analysis session is a once-off experience to discover your colours for life.
A palette is a collection of colours that emphasise your natural chromatic characteristics, making you look radiant and healthy. Colour analysis identifies your personal palette by examining your natural characteristics (undertone, intensity and value).
A colour analysis session will make you discover something new about yourself and give you the knowledge to shop less and better and to improve your wardrobe and style.

Beautiful! She looks lovely in her colours. I was just analyzed online by Alessandra and Giulia and discovered I’m a summer soft too!! I’m totally thrilled with my palette and am having so much fun learning to wear colours confidently. I was getting really confused and now everything t makes sense - it’s amazing how different you look and feel when you know your colours. These ladies are the best of the best - can’t get enough of your videos and how exciting to have a new upload in the same palette as I just discovered 🤭. Thank you so much dear ladies! 🫶

I am a soft summer with olive skintone, golden light brown hair and hazel green eyes and I feel so represented. I am your soft autumn counterpart that was also difficult to identify at first. My eyes and hair are close to neutral and in the past were identified as ash and gray blue, but, my hair is actually warm- leaning along with my eyes and of course my undertone...just very close to neutral.

I don't know if I've ever commented on this but I have to say, whatever camera you use - keep it! 😄
I think this is one of the few channels whose camera shows absolutely every color. We can see exactly the difference between all colors and I really appreciate that.
Also the ambiance, everything in the background is white, most of times including the shirts of these two wonderful ladies, so there are no distractions and we can focus on exactly what it is about - the effect of colors on the face!
    Bravo!

I am naturally drawn to my colours… for example mauve and pigeon blue… I read the book color me beautiful in the 90 ies and was often confused that some colours didn’t feel so good allthough part of my palette…. Until I found out that my main characteristic is softness. I had a lightbulb moment when watching your videos… now I know why soft warm autumn tones are more flattering to me than cool pale colours… thank you! So true. My hair and brows have always been naturally much lighter than my eyes, and my skin is very pale. I started out with colorless hair until some blonde pigment began coming in around age 5. It settled down in adulthood to a kind of streaky bronde. Even an hour or so in the sun will lighten it by a shade, but I try to prevent that. Now that I have it colored to hide the gray, it turns reddish as the color washes out, which I don’t like.🙂

It is so nice to see this analysis. 35 years ago I was analised as a summertype, but because of my slightly warm green eyes and brown hair I always thought there had to be more to it. Now I am 66 I wanted to know, and found out by analising all the YT videos I am a soft summer, and that I can also use some of the soft autumn colours. Both silver and gold look good, but only in the not too shiny versions, or in case of gold the not too yellow gold. Rose gold (again not too shiny) looks amazing. Can you please do a video on the metals and also on whether to wear diamonds, pearls or other stones? Your videos are wonderful! Greetings from Holland

My coloring is very similar to Marta's ... my undertone is very slightly cooler, my hair is slightly warmer, and I have light eyes. I could never decide if I was Soft Summer or Soft Autumn, because some colors from both palettes don't work for me - but others from both look sensational.
I now know that the key factor is *soft*, not warm/cool. If I stick to soft shades, and avoid both intensely warm and intensely cool colors, I'll be fine.

Thank you for this Summer Soft analysis! It's very rare to see such a detailed video in TH-cam for this coloration. It confirms my own analysis that I'm SS. I react in the same way of these tricky colors like the warm peachy pink and the lovely warm bright green in the spring palette - I love them so much but I look like a living death! 😄 Thanks god I realized that in my early 20s so I learned to buy cool colors before I knew they are cool... After years I noticed that lovely winter colors are "too much" for me and I tended naturally to the summer palette. The last step was when I realized that some summer colors like frosty pink makes me look grayish and when I tan It's not bronzy but toppy color. Thanks the pandemic I discovered the color analysis here in TH-cam and there was an "aha!" moment 😁 But I wasn't convinced yet because I ware well some of the other summer colors. Thanks to your video now I have no doubt that I'm SS and what quality of color I should search in my clothes and makeup so thank you very much! ❤

Jeans tops (like jackets) also look very good on summer types. The marine blue / indigo hues, or if it is light denim. And denim is always a bit muted if it is not dark blue or black blue). Another signs for summer: they cannot wear a lot of black close to the face. A dress with a deeper neckline (more skinline) might be possibe (but forest green or navy green or dark grey looks better). But if they were a black turtle neck it overpowers them (and also spring types).

Im happy this video came out. My sister told me back in the 80's from Color Me Beautiful that I was a summer (due to my veins, ha!), but I was disappointed because I had strawberry blond hair and brown/green hazel eyes. I was like, hey I am clashing with myself! How can that be? But she insisted. She had never heard of the 12 color season system and I think today she would agree that Im a soft summer (I have a very low intensity/contrast)! I have a shirt that is a very muted apricot and I Love how it makes me look! Then I just learned from these ladies that I can borrow muted autumn colors. I am so happy! My skin is quite peachy on the surface and then there is a slight blue undertone that dominates. Hope my comments help others who have been confused for decades like me. So excited.

This is how my CMB color analysis went, it was very difficult to tell my undertone. The clincher was when she put an aqua (pale turquoise) drape on me, it was instantly obvious what a perfect color it was on me. I’m very close to neutral, just slightly cool. I’m a Soft Summer, but can wear a few Soft Autumn colors, too, just not peach or coral. I have similar color to Marta’s except lighter and my eyes are closer to hazel.

This was amazing to see on her that she is a summer soft ! I have recently ordered my colour analyse online with you ladies and I'm so excited to see what i am🤭! i have similar colouring to Marta but its so hard to know what undertone we are! I suspect I could be a soft type like soft summer or soft autumn but I can't wait to find out once and for all! Very happy to see this video from you guys and love your content and skills ! 🥰💖

Oh this is wonderful. I react exactly the same as her to all of the sample colors shown! Another analyst on youtube states soft summers always have medium to dark brown hair so that always confused me. But it was very clear that Martha, who does not have dark hair, is part of the soft palette. Thanks so much for this video!

  • @XeaRae

This video was super helpful and got me out of being stuck at warm/cool stage. Both silver and gold looked meh on me and neither salmon nor light pink flattered me. Both firengine red and fuchsia looked ok, but a little bit too loud. Mid way this video I figured it out - my main characteristic is dark and my undertone is relatively neutral (a smidge more cool perhaps). My intensity is inbetween medium and high.
Most light and and soft colours look really bad on me (sage and pale blues). Same goes with very bright colours (cian and orange and yellow are awful). As soon as I darken the colour and lower the intensity it’s like my skin breaths a sigh of relief. I think I’m somewhere in between dark winter / dark autumn. Still trying to figure out if I am more warm or cool, but as long as it’s close to dark side (value 10-20) of things and medium high intensity (75-80 saturation) it’s a bingo.
All greys (both light and dark) look bad one me.

11:39 Actually for me the low intensity samples do not look the best (as if her skin got a greyish hue). I found the medium intensity samples better. Waiting for the larger shawls to be held close to her skin. Soft / muted / light colours win in intensitiy when they are on a larger surface. As for the emerald colour that was shown early in the beginning (versus sage). The variety of sage that was the alternative to the emerald was almost too muted (Sage IS her colour, but she needs a version that is more green instead of grey). I liked the brighter color (emerald green) very well 8:19 and 9:50 . I think one has to differentiate, if she has a summer tan (alloweing for more contratst) or if she would wear a more festive dress with a V-neck showing more skin and the face with a bit more make-up she could totally pull off the stronger color.

Analysis after analysis I believe that you (and many other colour typologists) use a flawed process. It just makes no sense to exclude the warm seasons after only comparing bright/dark warm colours with basically bright/dark cool colours. Who says she wouldn't look fabulous in the muted warm ones? She probably would; or at the very least, she wouls definitely pull a lot of them off. Even when you were looking at some of them later, you were immediately dismissing them.
EVERY single soft autumn that comes through these doors (or any doors using the same methodology) ends up being mistyped as a summer. Over and over and over again. I'm so tired of seeing this. And it's also rather obvious from the other summer drapes, that 100% make the person look incredibly washed out. You can also see in the person's eyes how much they're not loving it.
I've seen the reverse happen too on this channel so there has to be something seriously wrong with the cool vs. warm test. Personally, I think other criteria (like muted vs. bright) oftentimes play a much bigger role than whether someone is cool or warm.
"You have warm eyes..." 🤦🏼‍♀️ Yeah... And skin... And hair...
    Recommendations:
    • Asking people what colours they're naturally drawn to, oftentimes there's value in the answer
    • Not immediately discarding muted warm types after the initial "cool vs. warm" tests.
    • Meditating on whether you just dislike autumn types/colours? Or any yellow in the skin? It's so strange.

Thank you for sharing with us your knowledge and helping us not only to look our best, but to understand colors and our personal coloring better! I have a request, if you could kindly help me untangle the confusion another color analyst who I've watched few days ago, created by claiming several rather unusual things regarding color analysis and it's rules. Naturally blond lady was typed as Winter, for example. I'm not feeling comfortable to mention the lady's/analysts name, but I'm sure you might be able to find her here, on YT if you check the title 'Can people with blond hair be Winters'. She is also The Style Coach, as it is stated in her channel's name. Thank you so much.

13:34 the sand colour definitely has a yellow tint to it - and it does not look good on her. (light to medium grey would be elegant). The dark intense brown is not bad (esppecially with her eyes, and dark eyebrows) but it is a bit overpowering. With a crisp snow white blouse, or a brown garment with a deeper neckline (so some skin visible to weaken the effect of the intense colour) or with a sage green top the intense brown could be elegant and look stunning on her. No objections to the dusty medium intensity pink. Looks good on summer types.

This might be an impossible question to answer, but which pallet from this system would I look best in as someone who was typed as a Blue Spring by House of Colour? I was told by my consultant that I’m a neutral-warm spring who suits the cooler spring colours best, and that I fall closer to winter than summer or autumn. However, Blue Spring is not equal to Bright Spring because the brightest House of Colour spring pallet is Paintbox Spring, which apparently does not sit next to winter, summer, or autumn!
