Thanks for the recap ! I long for a mix between : - A5X2 for the high quality note feeling - with a color display ripped off the paper pro real color e ink galery3 tech - the whole thing packaged in a onyx note max form factor so, let's say the dream is about a A4X Manta paper color pro :)
Excellent video and roundup. While I'm firmly in the Supernote camp, I completely agree with you about the Go 10.3 being an intriguing device and launched at the perfect time.
also using the iflytech for my everyday calendar and simple note taker it is what i wish folding phones could give us, if it wasnt for youtube videos and a quick camera my phone would be usless
Thanks so much for the summary. I love the way you highlighted exactly what each device is good for and how they all fit into the eink-o-sphere. Any thoughts on the ViWoods Mini?
That's one of the few devices I haven't tried, but from what I've seen it's software is very similar, so it's solid in that area. What holds it back in my opinion is the missing dual-tone frontlight. I like that it has one in the first place, but that choice feels odd. Personally I'd get a Boox Tab Mini C instead tbh (if you can still find it), because it offers a better value imho.
I have very recently bought Remarkable 2 , so far I am loving it. All these models I guess are available in USA and Europe. Waiting for these devices to get launched in India. Great video and information. Thank you !
Thank you so much for the excellent review. While I love the new screen on the reMarkable Paper Pro, I still don't understand why, with the latest software update, the file size that can be uploaded to the device is limited to 100 MB. That's super limiting and laborious to be able to read larger files.
That is strange! I had no idea. Thank you for sharing this here; I agree, that is extremely limiting and now a factor I didn't know to consider in my search for a device I will use well.
Yes - if you haven't gotten the update yet, you can download it from the Amazon website and update the Scribe manually: www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=GKMQC26VQQMM8XSW
I have a Boox Tab Ultra C. I find annoying the Kindle app resets/closes by itself, especially if you are using it frequently. Google Play does it too, but not as frequently
Thanks for the video, but I do have one problem with this list. Every tablet mentioned is HUGE. And as someone who values pocket sized portability above everything when it comes to an ereader, none of these appeal to me.
Really wanted to like the Viwoods, but knowing I have no choice but to offer my data to the Chinese, it’s a hard no. Sticking with my always-offline A5X for now. Great breakdown! Really makes it concise for the undecided!
Superbly well researched, written and presented. A complete and concise summary of the tablets to choose from right now.
0:25 Kindle Scribe
1:38 Boox Note Air 4c
2:40 reMarkable Paper Pro
3:47 Supernote A5X2 Manta
4:23 Viwoods AI Paper
5:30 Boox Go 10.3
6:12 Outro

If they have added so many new features to the Viwoods, does that warrant an updated review?
Yes, definitely worth a second look at this point. I'll do another review in a couple of weeks after I'm done with the current backlog :D
I bought the viwoods AI and mini on Amazon, hopefully they will have better syncing between 2 devices

Is dynamic canvas will be available on kindle scribe 1st generation?

in your intro was the pocketbook colornote. Where is this review? Very interested!
Working on it ... :)
I want them all!
