Would be really interesting to have a faction like Cybertronians. Living Machines. They would have lots of special characters. And lots of drones too. They would have similar gods like Primus and Unicron. They were from a galaxy and we're in a civil wars for millions of years like justice filled Autobots and Conquering Decepticons. Then a cataclysm happened and they were teleported to Warhammer 40k. They would even have titana too. Some of them are actual tanks and vehicles. A squad would be 4 bots who can be a speeder which transform into a dreadnaught. Then they would unload drones like the search drones from the matrix or the terminator. They could have pretenders too. Imagine a Tyranid pretender. Or they could ally with sentients like IG and become their transport vehicles. Or a group rushing into battle with White Scars. Warmongers robots enjoying battling with Orks and taking their battle wagons alt mode.
Fantastic and concise. Also great production. Your videos are the ones I send to people when they want to learn about warhammer. Keep up the good work.
This was really interesting to see, a compact and good summary of spread out information I already knew. That being said, I REALLY hope you make one or more videos about what you teased in the end, because that is stuff I know little about! Whole arms not investegsted yet? Species and civilizations only teased about? I need to know more!

I never played the table top, but 40k crept into my TH-cam algorithm and this has been helpful in tying together all these factions and names ive heard in isolation so far

Your videos are exceptional. I’m a long term MTG player who is new to Warhammer after playing the Warhammer MTG Commander decks. I’m really enjoying learning the lore.
When put in such a trite and condensed way, i suddenly realised... " what am i doing, playing with these expensive figurines?" I felt an intense moment of questioning my time and choices I've made with it? I am sure i will justify the childhood romance, escapism and a very special sort of magic world i have with this bollocks. One that has lent me, albeit now seeming quite ironically as i stare at my pile of shame from the corner of my eye a wonderful relief at times. The friends we've made along the way speech perhaps? A sad but adult moment i suppose.
I think this is a healthy perspective. We spend all this time on something really, really, REALLY stupid. It's pointless. Can you imagine how bad it would be if we took it very, very seriously? 😂

I like that you correctly identify that 40k is about chaos vs imperium and xenos are third rate factions. Helps set expectations properly. 40k is about space marines beating up xenos incidentally until they realise the TRUE THREAT which is Chaos.
I mean, it’s about whatever you want it to be. That is a perfectly reasonable way of seeing the conflict, but I think one of the greatest qualities about it is that it’s so flexible

they don't have a separate army book unfortunately - whilst the world eaters are on the horizon (as in have been announced) - so not a 'faction'. Rumours are that that might change though.
Ye Emperor's Children are just some units in the main book and don't have their own codex. You can buy Noise Marines as an Elites choice and upgrade units to have the Mark of Slaanesh, but that's it. Rumors are they will get their codex in 10th. Edition (which is just "lol" that people have already accepted replacing all of their 9th. Edition books).

Nah that's just part of that era art, back then there was all sorts of art depicting imperial folks with edgy words painted on them, like loyal space marines with the words hate and kill painted on there armour etc.

Eh, yes and no. The Orks, Tyranids, and Necrons can all be as great a threat as chaos though for some it can be circumstantial.
