    Thank you for this video, I believe I have some wiring to clean up on my driver side. Both of mine were out as well, but my passenger side was solved by simply plugging it in, my driver side wasn't so lucky. The HID never worked on it since I bought the car and the wiring looks really messy. I'm just praying its not the actual HID itself as you said, its like $100 F that noise

      My driver side wiring is a mess as well. I also replaced both my HID's not too long ago and found "ledlightstreet.com/" for the pair of headlights it was around $50. You could also try "www.theretrofitsource.com/" their prices l aren't bad for a pair of HID's👍

      @@kylezimmerman3346 I appreciate the links man! I’m gonna dig into the wiring first and see if that fixes it. If not then I’ll definitely look into replacing the HID.

    I don’t know if you’re still posting videos, but if you get a chance can you record some night time videos of the light output on the street of the JDM headlights. Was thinking about buying this upgrade.

      I would highly recommend upgrading, the visibility you get compared to stock is 10x better, but I will definitely make a night time video to show them off.

    Where did you place the ballasts at?

    • @kylezimmerman3346
      @kylezimmerman3346  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I should mention first that they aren't bolted down, but they are secured in place. The passenger side one behind the ABS actuator, and the Driver side is tucked right between where the headlight and battery sit. So far haven't had any issues.

    Hey, just wanted to ask if you were able to get the lights to level from RHD to LHD for the road and how you did so. Just picked up a pair.

    • @kylezimmerman3346
      @kylezimmerman3346  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did not, for that you have to switch the lenses on the headlights themselves, which would involve cracking the headlights open, and I didn't feel confident enough to do that.

    Hey I wanted to see if you were going to install the JDM headlight leveling switch? If you are could you make a video please :)

    • @kylezimmerman3346
      @kylezimmerman3346  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I will be doing that, I have the switch, wires, and plug. I just need to figure out how I'm going to wire everything up, but that video will be coming when I got time👍

    This was done with the oem ballasts? Just curious

    So what exactly made the hid not work? I’m having the same issue

    • @kylezimmerman3346
      @kylezimmerman3346  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't ground the relay on the harness which caused the fuse to blow, I just wrapped some electrical tape around the metal bit coming from the relay to stop it from hitting any other metal.

    • @azukibeans8610
      @azukibeans8610 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kylezimmerman3346 so grounding the relay made it work? And did you have to replace the fuse after that?

    • @kylezimmerman3346
      @kylezimmerman3346  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@azukibeans8610 Yes it did, the relay kept arching on other metal, which would blow the fuse, and yes I did replace the fuse as well.
