@@katjarichter9282I think he is very used to seeing his dad working around the board, and it looks as if when dad walks away, Todd’s legs are visible. I think he was immediately aware that dad had dropped the pieces. He’s a funny clever cat.
What an incredible character Todd is! Not only is he smart as a whip, but he's got a personality to go with it! I think he sees the whole upstairs as his domain, allowing his subjects, both human and feline, to reside there only under his good graces!
It says a lot that with Paulie he gave a little shove to get him off, and the ball he moved off himself, and when you 'cluttered' the board he used words to tell you. He really chooses how to communicate based on recipient. That's so cool. Happy New Year, Todd and family! I hope there won't be too much Noise Outside tonight. ❤
I just HAD to laugh at Todd and his clever ways of dealing with what he considers infringements on his very precious possession; his communication device. Proof positive of 100% cognizance of his ability to communicate, and its importance in his life. His ability to communicate to others his intentions in a positive way. He’s aware of his actions, and their consequences. He was most considerate of being kind and fair in his “reminders” to others about his board being so important to him. They know and respect that. I just love you, precious boy, Todd!
Love how Todd moved, first Paulie, then the ball off his board, then looked directly at the camera. I heard in my head Todd saying "Did you see that, Dad?" in a put-out voice. 😅
I remember the corner of Todd's food bowl sitting just slightly on the board and he had to let you know all about. Lol. My OCD brain can totally relate Todd. I loved re-watching the part where Todd was informing you of the board edges being on the board. He looks down at them, up to you then back down again like "ahem! Do you see what I see Dad?" 😂 He's such a character!
As a teacher, I would love to see every student behaving like Todd - enthusiastic about learning, likes to keep his books & homework clean, brave enough to express himself! 🥰
So very cute- was laughing hard after Paulie rolled over & made eye contact with Todd 😂it was like a brief "uh-oh" such humor along with shocking intelligence, thank you for your videos!! 🐾
He’s inspirational.. Btw has he mentioned, he and I are in the same book club and we just finished “the Magic of Tidying Up” by M. Kondo. 🤣🤣🤣. Bravo Todd !!
I love his care and sense of ownership. Really goes to show how much he enjoys having access to it. And it makes sense: If this space is messed up, it might hamper his ability to communicate!
As a caretaker of two cats, I noticed that Todd gently touched Paulie to get him to move. This is different from the rambunctious pattycake that often proceeds a rough and tumble play session. My cats have places they like to nap so they can still see me. If I move something and leave it on that napping place, they often ask me to move it, OR, they will move it to the floor themselves. Love to Todd and the rest of the family.
His wide eyes and head up stance says he has just told you something important Dad, don't mess up the board please! Todd, you are such a smart cute boy, we know you love Paulie and Glamour but the board is yours😂❤❤❤❤😂😂😂
I think it's probably like learning to type, if you've actually learned the touch type method. There are some words he seems to prefer back foot pressing. If you touch type, every finger has certain keys it can hit. Todd has certain buttons assigned to certain feet, perhaps. It's one of the things that makes Todd super interesting as a talking cat.
Cats are known for being very mindful about their back feet. They usually put them in the same spot where their front paws were. Need to be silent to ambush prey, so I think this is an evolutionary strategy to not make noise.
@@boggy7665 If it were evolutionary, that would make the first several generations of cats to be less adept at hunting, which begs the critical thinker to question how that would be considering their need to feed themselves successfully. Each species has their embedded design, and being very mindful of their back feet isn't rare, as notably, elephants are extremely aware of exactly where their feet are: they have to be, considering their massive weight in relation to their tiny babes. Horses, too, and donkeys, know exactly where their feet are, as they can land an exacting kick precisely where they want it. Dogs can climb ladders: back feet talents are prevalent with the creatures.
@@jenniferhansesI tried learning to type but my fingers and hands didn't want to cooperate. But I can two finger type pretty fast because I know generally where all the keys are. Yet somehow I can crack and open an egg with one hand, and separate it if needed 🙄
Thanks, Dad. You always give us extra context so we can better understand Todd’s behavior. This need of his to keep everything and everyone off his board tells us a lot about how important his ability to communicate his thoughts is to him. But we also know he does not mind when Glamour occasionally walks across the board and pushes a button word that is relevant to what she is doing/thinking.This seems to mean that Todd is okay with other kitty’s use of the board to talk, but intolerant of not respecting the board!! Todd tells us so much in many formats and we viewers are learning, but there are times like this when Dad has to provide further context. Thanks!
im the same way about my things, Todd! my coffee table better be clean at all times! him pushing the ball off was too funny. Also very impressed with how quickly he communicated LOOK, so fast!!!
Todd has no problem with the other cats walking on the board, and Glamour has even pressed buttons on it, but it is anything laying on it that he has an issue with.
The creatures have their ways. My "Sugar Pie" (Welsh Springer Spaniel) had the idea that we *_had to_* get into the car in a particular order (her first), that we had to walk in tandem in their particular positions (with her immediately next to me, with Jack - Great Dane/Akita - on her left side), and she'd nearly throw a fit of objection if we tried to do things "out of order." They have their way of doing things, and "God forbid" that it's different than that! 😊 Like a table, if the board isn't clear, it isn't usable. Smart Todd continues to amaze us. 😊 Here's hoping that you show us how the noisy evening goes for Todd, considering the new application of his "Noise" button. Thanks.
Todd must tend to his property! So I guess he might seem OCD compared to many cats. But he’s very observant and sure knows how to use that button board!
That's too funny 😂 especially when the ball went on there! The look in his eyes and face, and then he couldn't take it and actually got up to move it is too much, I love him ❤❤❤ thanks for sharing 🎉 it's really amazing 😊
Todd is amazing at keeping his board clear. That's his way of communicating! It would be like us not getting bars on our cellphone !! Or our keyboards freezing up !!
Todd is so smart and a kitten who looks through his means of communication with Dad. Very clean, beautiful and super sweet. I love all your kittens. 🐈⬛ an environment with a wonderful energy, very cozy. I wish you a good year 2025 and protect the kittens from the noise of fireworks. 🎇 Lots of peace and health... hugs 🥰💗🌸🙏💟☮️🐈⬛🎊🎊🎊🎊
“Look” sure says every thing to you😂. And before that, when he moved the ball off, he stared right at the camera, to say to you,” I don’t want anything on my board” 😂
😂❤🤭 the look of disdain as well! Like, he may think " really!? I've spoken on this before...surely Mom or Dad could stop this from being a constant irritation." 😂

I'm really hoping that now that Dad can use the words "noise" and "outside" with Todd, he can better explain that, while the fireworks are loud, they are just a noise that's outside, they can't hurt him, and he's safe inside. ❤
That’s adorable! “Keep my button board clean.” I know a dog who can be moved over if you simply touch her back near her tail. It’s good that Todd is a gentle cat.😊

Todd's button board is his kingdom.
Todd's button board is important! It's so interesting that he makes sure it stays clean.
He wants it clean, but he'll scratch it sometimes.
