Who edited those clips together in the first 40 seconds of this video, did that come from somewhere else? It's really impressive how they flowed from one to the next and I don't know how to say this without being a dick, but it was way above the skill level of anything I've ever seen on Screen Rant. Like, way *way WAY* above.
Da!n good video. Lots of great info. Very interesting. Unfortunately, most of the other videos on this channel aren't so. That is, of course, besides the pitch meetings.
You forgot about the epidemic of trailers for comedies that show you every single part of the movie that are actually funny, leaving nothing to laugh at while watching the actual movie.

Matter can not be created from nothing. The stones for the most part still obey the laws of physics of the universe they inhabit. That's why everyone turned to ash instead of just disappearing.
I heard the main reason most trailers have those 5 second bumpers is because a lot of trailers play as ads on TH-cam, and most adds on TH-cam won't let you skip them until you've watched at least 5 seconds, so they now try to hook you to not skip the ad.
Jurassic Park, Independence Day, and Speed motivated the viewer to come back a few months later to watch their movie, before the multimedia internet. 1990's era trailers teased the movie through quick cuts, less dialogue, and sometimes a different soundtrack in the movie. A song in the trailer and the movie, was heard to bring attention to a band. We're not going to close my eyes, because we missed you from Aerosmith in the movie Armageddon.
Instead of seeing something by Disney, I'd rather see something by Jim Henson Studios, Lucas Films, Marvel, Pixar, or even a few Studio Ghibli. Actually, Studio Ghibli isn't in contract with them, anymore.
One funny bit of people complaining that a trailer showed too much was in the case of Spider-Man: Homecoming. The comments section was upset that the trailer spoiled Peter Parker losing his new suit and going back his old suit when that ended up being a minor plot point. The actual huge twist of the film, that Vulture is Liz's father, was never even hinted at and ended up being a huge and awesome surprise.
In my opinion my favorite for this year is Godzilla King of the Monsters it is my favorite and in my opinion I see trailers to hype me up for a movie just upsets me sometimes when I see trailers and it is awesome and the movie it kind of is the opposite.
Two Steps from Hell did the music for the Anna Karenina trailer and it's one of the most intense, beautiful songs I'd ever heard. It made me want to see the movie desperately, the trailer is 100 times better than the movie.
One of my favorite movie trailers from my childhood is Transformers: The Move. My least favorite trailer is from Rush Hour. The movie was still good, but the trailer contained too many of the funniest moments. It gave away too much.
I think some movie trailers are somewhat misleading. When I saw the trailer for Wonder Park, I was hyped, but after hearing one reviewer say it was below average, I started to have second thoughts about the movie and I don't know if I want to see it or not.
Favorite trailer: Terminator Salvation (shame the movie sucked). Least favorite: Troy. The armada reveal was awesome the first couple of times, but soon it became boring. Then, during the movie, when that scene came, instead of being awed, I yawned.
Cutting a trailer is super easy; barely an inconvenience!
I see what you do there. I use that line all the time now!
Oh really?
Dramatic voices are TIGHT
How ScreenRant thumbnails and headlines are designed to manipulate fans... 😂🤣
Right ! Lol
Lmaooo
So true bro
Mixed Bag Clips 😂😂😂

@ALPHA compared to the editing typically seen on this channel, it's several notches up.
Guys if thor had gone for the head we would not be having such an amazing movie up ahead!
no, it still would. Someone would have resurrected Thanos then.. the upcoming movie would only have been different then.
Steven Spielberg noted in Starlog #300 that Trailers essentially give the 'eye candy'; while the film itself gives the 'brain candy'.
Frozen 2 trailer got me shook. Disney trailers are good because you don’t know the conflict in them unlike other companies.
Looking at you Sony
The "sneak peak clip of Frozen 2" that came at the end of Ralph Breaks the Internet had that song stuck in my head for quite some time.
Has anyone seen the trailer for the Pitch Meeting movie?
...
Me neither.
I'm so HYPED!

Why couldn't thanos just snap his fingers and give us unlimited food instead of killing half the universe?
-4 Subscribers with a hammer addiction damn
Bruh facts!!!
Overpopulation

My favorite trailer is the Joker teaser trailer. It was soo good!
My second favorite is the It Chapter one trailer
Waow! An amazing edit you did in the intro while explainig the cut clips! Awesome👍
I love the 'Screen Rant Docs' keep em coming!

Personally, I pay for TH-cam Premium so I don't get those ads. When I watch a trailer it is with intent, so those bumpers really annoy me.
Soooo happy to have found this channel!!! ♡
Whoa... didn't know so many things are going on with trailers. Nice video.

This was really cool and a great change of pace from your normal stuff
whats about new mutants. They released a trailer but .... or legends of tomorrow. this trailer of the show showed nearly a completely different show
I like all your videos, but this was the best! Excellent job! Thanks for this!
What is the name of the transition used in the video? please share! its amazing
Some highly anticipated modern trailers from films like Marvel, Disney, and Starwars." Pretty much all the same company lol
Instead of seeing something by Disney, I'd rather see something by Jim Henson Studios, Lucas Films, Marvel, Pixar, or even a few Studio Ghibli. Actually, Studio Ghibli isn't in contract with them, anymore.
This reminds me of how the trailer for The Meg showed the shark about to eat a bunch of people, but that was never in the movie.
I know this might be a stretch, but what if the endgame trailer has captain marvel and Thor's head digitally removed to have Nebula and Tony Stark?
That was incredibly interesting. Thanks.
The Inception foghorn sound wasn't actually used in the movie, it was only in the trailer.
There was a time when movie trailers were voiced by Don LaFontaine.
Really cool video y’all!
This is like 20 minutes of a Trailers 101 class.
Such awesome editing!!!!!!

Endgame trailer footage dialogue was mostly from other movies lol
Trailers have doomed movies plots sometimes spoiling it and creating no interest. ENDGAME HAS SET A PRECEDENCE!
I love that your doing an intro to this series
In my opinion my favorite for this year is Godzilla King of the Monsters it is my favorite and in my opinion I see trailers to hype me up for a movie just upsets me sometimes when I see trailers and it is awesome and the movie it kind of is the opposite.
Kotm !
“What’s your favorite trailer
Me: Halo Infinite
I didn't know I needed this...
I like the music choices
Two Steps from Hell did the music for the Anna Karenina trailer and it's one of the most intense, beautiful songs I'd ever heard. It made me want to see the movie desperately, the trailer is 100 times better than the movie.
One of my favorite movie trailers from my childhood is Transformers: The Move. My least favorite trailer is from Rush Hour. The movie was still good, but the trailer contained too many of the funniest moments. It gave away too much.
Jurassic Park. Remember that one!!
Any trailer with a hit song will take my cake.
That opening sequence was pretty cool
I think some movie trailers are somewhat misleading. When I saw the trailer for Wonder Park, I was hyped, but after hearing one reviewer say it was below average, I started to have second thoughts about the movie and I don't know if I want to see it or not.
Kids movie trailers can be to revealing, like the Rio 2 trailer, it basically spoiled a retail of the films and some of its plot points
Tell Ryan to make a Godzilla pitch meeting I don't care which movie
okay, you deserve this like Screen Rant.
Yeah the bumper is also used for youtube videos so you stay after the 5 sec skip
Music????
Having the trailer be actually be what the movie is really about is a good thing.
I'm looking at you "Southland Tales".~ :P
Is there a movie with no trailer
Yes.
As musician's we use the rise in music all the time.
Trailers for trailers are the stupidest thing ever..., but they get us to watch the trailer
I got 4 college credits for watching this video
The new Avengers Endgame Trailer is the best. I’ve seen it probably 50 times
I see Endgame I click.
Well that’s the reason that gives all the fans the hype
Cool ❤️❤️❤️😍😍
Kinda annoyed I didn't see Godzilla king of the monsters in this vid. Best trailer of all time
Dark slow covers, thanks Placebo.
Nice video
Can we have a Superman Lives doc? Please I love this channel.
Donnie Darko don’t have time to watch that xD
I miss when Don LaFontaine read for movie trailers.
Movie trailers are made to get people to watch the movie?! *What a surprise!*
5:53 UMM..Avengers :Endgame is number one and Avengers :Infinity war is second. Please change that🤷
Good job Ben 😘
Very interesting
A lot of trailers are way better then the actual movie they promote.
Favorite trailer: Terminator Salvation (shame the movie sucked).
Least favorite: Troy. The armada reveal was awesome the first couple of times, but soon it became boring. Then, during the movie, when that scene came, instead of being awed, I yawned.
4:03 Marvel,Disney or Starwars......you mean DISNEY
I mean they kind of have to now. You couldn't break down a trailer frame by frame years ago and have every second analyzed.
U would have made a trailer for this video article
I love whatching your videos so entertaing
Everyone thinks the One Punch Man trailer is awful but I can’t tell
I got shazam trailer in this trailer explanation video XD
Cool 😎👍😎
waiting for Episode IX trailer
I'll just say it, the last jedi trailer was way better then the movie
less revealing trailers are the best.
Avengers Endgame!!!!!!!!
WHAT? marvel would do that!!! Oh wait....
Who's here before 100 views?
Third... I have no life
Suicide squad trailer was better than the movie itself.
Suicide Squad’s trailer, the only good thing of that movie....
Suicide squad only good thing was bohemian rhapsody, all the movie sucked 😂😂😂
So you make a 20 minutes video just to share with us what the f is a trailer
Pretty much.
That...and they hadn't seen or done anything like that before.
Screen Rant, you should help me make a trailer for my channel.
Great Video ! Very Cool facts and really informative. Always Good stuff! I am a small creator and Grateful for New Viewers and Feedback too 😁👊
"New" viewers? I'm grateful for ANY viewers!
...
Then again...I guess I'd have to start making quality videos, then.

There is no way movie trailers are more watched than porn.
