    Making sure you've got sharp carbide is the trick to those little guys. If you give me 6 hours to grind stumps, I'll spend 4 hours sharpening the cutters.

      I use Pelagic 6" deck boots they are amazing. Only downside is when string trimming with shorts on you get some clippings in your boots.

      @@Press1for only boots I wear now, have two pairs for personal use and then they sell a steel toe boot with a soft metguard that I buy because I also work in a steel mill and metatarsal guards are required. I’ve tried many boots , and I will never buy anything else now

    Stump`in is what I do . Any hoots, I `d hate for you to have to replace a big bay window. Them grinders can throw a rock pretty fast. Put up a 3 sided tarp/curtain about 32" tall around your stump to prevent a shattered window .

    I wear keen boots they’re more like a hiking style boot but they still have a protective toe I wear them 7days a week no problem I find them very comfortable and my toes are still protected from stuff falling on them

    Cracked me up talking about the work boots vs work shoes! I'm the same way. Leather boots hurt my feet(they blister my heels). Kujo shoes and the Keen work shoes are comfortable for me.

    The factory I worked for would give us $125 a year for steel toe boots. Red Wing took the longest to break in and eventually I could rotate between pairs and they would be really comfortable. You might do more walking per day but we all were on level concrete floors 8 1/2 to 12 1/2 hours a day five to six days a week, and not just standing in one area.

    Yep done renting. I have lost jobs by having to add in the price of the rental and labor.I have no problem eating 200$ to make 1200$ most jobs I take would pay for the grinder in one day.This is for a whole removel usally 5 hrs work one tree. Sometimes it's over 3gs. For a day.

    You're exposed to move the fabric out of the way and rock to expose the stump so you can grind it.

      Yes. We did. But there was so much fabric from 1993 that was wrapped around roots and we couldn't get it up because it was entangled and buried and stuck.
