Climbing Mount Kenya in August 2021

Starting at Chogoria gate, we climbed to Lake Ellis on the first day. Day 2 took us up to Lake Michaelson in the rain but luckily the sun came out for day 3 up to Austrian Hut. We summited on the morning of day 4 before the long journey down. An amazing trip!

Do you plan on climbing the other continent’s second highest mountains? (K2,Ojos Del Salado,Mount Logan,Dykh-Tau,Mount Tyree & Mandala Peak.)

No plans as of yet but have plans for Kilimanjaro next year! Have you done any of those?

@@Luke.A.HaymanNope but I might try them in the future though some countries’ geography classes teach people that Ojos Del Salado & Mount Logan are on the same continent.

It's a really lovely video. And it brings back some great memories. But please don't refer to Lenana as "the summit". It is not the summit. Calling it such upsets those of us who have climbed the Real summit of Mt Kenya.
