This is a bit misleading since the Panel type is also a factor for price. VA panels are cheaper than IPS panels, and the majority of VA panels are naturally curved, meaning the curved feature is pretty much thrown in there for free. IPS not only start out more expensive, they also cost extra if you want a curve.
34" and above, you definitely want a curve.
27" and below, and it's not really needed.

I will go curved for 32:9 monitor. With a monitor that wide, it makes absolute sense to go curved. For single 16:9 monitor screen, I will take flat all day long.

To everyone, just be aware that if you move from Curve monitor to Flat monitor, you will face one issue. Edges of flat screen will feel away while the center would seem bulging. It will feel as convex lens. Really annoying. And might feel weird and have strange feelings looking at the monitor. If you plan to have curved at work and at home then it might be ok. but moving back and forth from curve to flat might cause eye strain and feel strange. I have 34 inch curved and I wish I could go back to flat. And at 34 inch size curve is not worth it. It might be useful when you go ultrawide >38 inch and above. Otherwise say away from curve. And curve is going to cost more than flat in most cases.

This is 100% true. I was using a curved 29" ultra wide at my job, a relatively cheap no name brand one I got from amazon. You get what you pay for... and it died on me 6 months after purchase. Quickly replaced it with an LG 29" Ultra wide... but it was a flat panel. It took me a few days to get used to the flat panel again.
At home I use a 34" curved ultra wide. Going back and forth between the 2 monitors isn't noticeable.

I currently use no less than _three_ 16:9 monitors in my office at work, for I really need the space on the screen, and one big curved monitor would solve many problems, since the three it would replace are in an angle towards each other anyway and to have just one power line, one data-cable, one brightness-setting,… would make my life much easier. Screw the money it costs, I spend hours over hours with my eyes stuck to those screens, any improvement in comfort is well worth the money.

HDR makes the gaming graphics look eay better with lighting and colorm furthermore free sync allows lower graphics requirements.

A curved gives you so much more immersion compared to a flat screen.
And yes most curved cost a lot o money (more than they stated in this vid 700 dollar... Be prepared to count down 1500-3000dollars for a proper one)
But dont be scared by pricing, there is one brand on the market changing the game, AOC!
these screens are quality samsung panels and they have all the options you need!
From good resolutions to proper pixel density, curved etc
I myself use a 34 inch AOC CURVED and its brilliant!
For about 500 dollar you can have one of the beter curved screens on the market, with displayport 2.1 and all the technology that would make you spend 2000 on another brand.
They even have a ZERO DEAD PIXEL 4 YR WARRANTY!

Flat ips 27inch monitor, or a curved va panel one?

Flat ips imo, ips colors are great! Depends on your budget tho if you have a tight budget then va might be valid!
