    If you can afford it, get both and enjoy. If not, I find multiplayer games are well for monitors and story games are great on a 4K HDR Tv.

      Agreed

    •  2 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      Completely agree. The guy is talking about "competitive gaming" and ignoring completely the casual gamer that just wants single player/story games which we can enjoy on a TV and even 120 FPS is not needed

    • @Backstorm13
      @Backstorm13 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Competitive shooters = PC / Monitor
      Chill play throughs = Console / Big TV
      Why would I care about response time on a console. If I want to minmax and care that much then I wouldn't even play on a controller.

      @@Backstorm13 Competitive gaming on consoles are a thing tho.
      But remember, it's much cheaper to get a really nice monitor than a really nice TV. You can get a really good 24" 1080p monitor for a budget price, or a 32" 1440p monitor for a medium price tag and a 48" 4k TV for a high end price and ALL of them have the same PPI, meaning that they look about the same, only a size difference exists.

    • @joaquincasascortes624
      @joaquincasascortes624 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Backstorm13 Also I find a lot more inmersive to play with a monitor and a quality pair of headphones than a TV with it's own speakers.
      So it's a matter of preference really, since both can fit the same purpose for any kind of gamer, unless you take the price tag and budget into consideration.

    Went from an expensive 4K top of the line tv to a cheap all in one hp monitor and I realized I’ve been gaming wrong for a long time. Immediately ordered the 28 inch Samsung odyssey G7 can’t wait to see how great it will look knowing a cheap monitor did 10x better for me than a top of the line tv. Gaming is so much smoother and and you can see things so much more clear. You will feel the difference in shooters and your accuracy will improve. At least mine has

    Biggest selling advantage for monitors is glare! Being close and no glare, lower power and smaller sizes if cramped in spaces. TV does have the bigger size for the couch viewing and more ports for plugins, entertainment for bigger screens and nothing wrong with gaming on bigger screens for that cinematic experience. I have both and will switch between them once in awhile. Multiplayer seems way more easier on smaller screens

      @@moose1442 I have a series s and a ps5 so hopefully I can help you out a bit (I’m mainly on my ps5 more) but anyways I bought my ps5 last year and a monitor that was able to support the 120fps that the ps5 provides. I gotta say that, when you’re playing multiplayer games on a monitor you feel like you have an advantage because you’ll feel like your reaction times are faster, plus you’re a bit closer to your screen and the input lag is so small you won’t notice any. As for story mode games, I’ll move my ps5 to my 4K 65in tv that only goes up to 60hz. The reason why I play story mode games on my TV is because I can just get into the story so much more on a large screen (that’s just my preference). Playing multiplayer games on a monitor won’t make you a professional right away, but you’ll definitely feel like you have an advantage.
      To sum everything up, story mode games that have cinematic scenes= TV
      Multiplayer games where I want to do good, if not better than a lot of the other players= Monitor

      The thing is that a 43 inch tv is big. For my playstyle too big. I prefer to sit close to a monitor when I am gaming and with a 43 inch Tv that is not possible. A year ago i bought a Lg oled 55 inch. Way to big for me. So i decidet to get the 48 model. After using it 2 weeks i gave it back because i could not see the entire screen and my neck and my eyes hurt a lot from moving around. A year later i was thinking mabey i should give it another try with the Samsung QLED N90 43 inch. It’s not 48 it’s only 43 Inches or?Superb TV and Gaming Screen but i knew it. Too f… big for a Desktop Setup. Its not comfortable anymore if you sit closer. 32 inch is a good choice for a Desktop setting. Sadly there is nothing in between. All the 32 inch TV are compared to there bigger brothers real bad. If you dont get at least a 43 inch modell forget it. Panasonic has some 40 inch TVs but they are no gaming Tvs and way overpriced. Everybody is blown away from the lg oled but i can tell you first it is way too dark and the screen reflection is a nightmare in brighter rooms. Second on a 48 inch Desktop configuration you see the Pixels if you use it as a desktop Setup. Its not that sharp anymore. Looks blurry. I have seen the LG Oled and the Samsung Qled side by side and in my opinion the lg oled is in general a littleblurry. The image quality is ,in my opinion, not the best on the market. Right now i am using a Benq EW27EU also not the best but when I get my PS5 i will upgrade to a Samsung G7 or a Gibabyte M32U. The M32U is probably the best 4K Monitor for Console gaming at that price level right now.

    Monitors are better, you can hook up a console to a monitor via HDMI and play on a comfortable gaming chair. Monitors can also be wall mounted, have less lag than TVs, and are more faster in general than TVs. Monitors can also be hooked up to a desktop, or a laptop giving you even more advantages in the gaming scene. TVs weren't really made for gaming, you can still play on a TV of course but a monitor has way more advantages than a TV. Bottom line is, if you're looking to play games competitively or professionally, then get a monitor. If you're a casual gamer, then get a high quality TV preferably a 4k TV. It's really up to you.

With the new gen consoles many still think you need HDMI2.1. It isn’t a necessity, you can game 1080p at 120hz or 1440p at 120hz. Sadly ps5 doesn’t support 1440p. I tried this today and the 4K TV is worse than my 1440p Monitor, Sure the TV has clear motion, but it does not have 120hz or VRR. The reason? Well.....Monitors are smaller so the pixels are more crushed rather than more spread on a TV, Hence why colours, Shading and overall picture quality looks superior on a monitor. My 4K TV downstairs looks okay, But looks better on my Monitor. Even with Series X. But also try playing on a monitor with 144hz on a gaming PC, You will most certainly see why monitors are overall superior. I also noticed Hitching and stutter on the 4K TV, Doesn't have VRR so the lags and the stutters are more noticeable without VRR enabled. For me i would rather choose 1440P with VRR or even 1080P 144hz and VRR over 4K without VRR or high refresh rate capabilities. Personally i find 4K quite overrated at this moment in time. I cannot play a game at 4K 60hz. It has to be either 1440p or 1080p with much higher refresh rates.

    I recommend a monitor for fps but if you want to get a high-end graphic I would good with a TV.

    • @SIMRIG412
      @SIMRIG412 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Wrong. Tv are 720,1080 and 4k. Monitors are 1080,1440 an 4k. So a monitor is always better and lower response times

    • @MyLonelyOutkast
      @MyLonelyOutkast 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know that but You didn’t get what I said but aii
      if you want to choose a monitor for more frames then go for it,
      then if you want to choose a tv for more high end graphics then go for it
      I would if choose the tv bc i like my graphic to be realistic

      @@arkclips7081 yeah but here’s the thing. If you’re playing a game like Microsoft flight simulator, you want to be able to see a big screen to see the beauty, right? So you would want a big tv with a joystick in your lap instead of looking right up close to a monitor that might not be that big and isn’t as immersive. You _could_ get a big monitor but a game like that which isn’t as serious where you would just want prettiness TVs I’d say are better.

    On my experience I can say that
    If you want to play single player games, just chilling and Multiplayer but not on a competitve way, go for the HDR 4k TV.
    If you want something more "hardcore", alot in to competitve gaming, fortnite, cod, apex etc, then go for the monitor

    • @Sohelanthropus
      @Sohelanthropus 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You make a good point sir, but I beg to differ
      You CAN be a competitive tryhard on TV, I used to be a very good PVP player in both Destiny 2 and multiple Battlefields on 55 and 65" TVs, don't let anyone tell you otherwise
      Plus, I think playing on a bug TV makes you play more reserved and relaxed compared with a monitor, the monitor will bring out the worst of you just for the fact it feels more tryhardy to play in whereas the TV gives more chill and relaxing vibes, thus never really a competitive game too seriously and thus being able to improve in a psychological level

  • @thedragonofechigo7878

    A monitor would make more sense since I don't have that much space for a TV
    And I don't even watch TV unless football/soccer is on but that's once in a while
