This was a great video Spot on assessment of the Basset Hound I agree 100% They are wonderful dogs and I like them more than some of my actual family members In fact they are definitely considered a member of the family, not just “the dog” Once again, great job I like Monet too, but Kandinsky is my favorite.
My basset has environmental and food allergies. For Environmental, my suggesting is Great Windkeeper tea pills. One per 10 pounds. Crush them in a mortar and pestle. Start early spring. It doesn't work for every dog but it sure did work for my big boy!
My Basset sheds all year around. Our house has shed hair everywhere and never mind trying to wear dark clothing without using a lint roller to get the fur off. Bassets are very food oriented and he will steal any food he can find. Bassets are nearly impossible to make angry. Ours is an escape artist, especially with there are bitches in the neighborhood. I love Bassets and would not want another breed. I have owned Silky terriers and dachshunds.

When I was a little boy my first dog was a Basset Hound. Her name was Sorry Belle. She has been gone for almost 60 years and I still think of her.
Ive had 4 Bassets. They are smart but they play dumb. They do it very well.
