As a retired person, yes I was blessed by getting a Rescue Basset 8 years ago. I always told people she was a perfect fit, because she sleeps 20 hours a day. Maybe not twenty, but if you are a person that has a more sedentary life, Bassets are perfect. Thank you for the video.
If you want a Basset, please consider getting a rescue. Eight of my ten Bassets have been rescues and I have never regretted giving these wonderful dogs a good home. They really return the love they get.
Please make sure no one in the family is allergic to dogs, hounds are hi allergen, you must love the constant drool and it being shook on walls, mirrors, ceilings,my glasses, and TV! They are constant shedders,24,7/365! Bassetts are also prone to yeast infection making them stink like rotten corn chips there for they need a very specific diet, a keto type food or make it yourself, fresh,! They are not a good watch dog, they will help the intruder to your valuables as long as they get their treats! How do i know all this info, the basset is my boyfriends, lol ugh!
I share the same experience as many others in this comment section. I've had many dogs, but when my basset died, I was inconsolable. Baby girl was a little ray of sunshine in a world full of darkness. A double rainbow all the way.
Bassets have selective hearing. I always said my Basset's ears were ornaments unless I opened the treat jar. She could be fast asleep in the far end of the house, but just open any bag and she would appear from nowhere at full speed. 🐾🐾
We have a cute and handsome basset hound his name Flash and just whenever you open a cheese wrapper or any package of ham . I really don’t know how does he in a blink just appears
My first bassets birthday is tomorrow and oh boy has it been…a journey. I’m a vet student and I when I read about them being stubborn I thought “oh I can deal with that” but I underestimated it 100%. I also got the most energetic basset ever (my vets told me this). But I wouldn’t trade it for a thing. He’s a cuddle bug, he’s friendly, all my neighbors adore him, and he sticks by me every second of the day. I love him to pieces 🥰
Nope, most of them are energetic - don't understand how they get tagged as being low energy or lazy. Ours is much more energetic than breeds that other friends have had.
My Bassett is very energetic too. She is not that one that just stops walking. My sister actually got her for her dog but had to have surgery after she had her for just one week and she had to go to rehab afterwards. I got the job of starting her potty training. I had lost a Border Collie a few years prior that broke my heart when he passed and had no interest in getting another dog at the time. Piper made me love her. Her personality was so funny, endearing, and loving that she gave me no choice. We bonded so quickly and when my sister was able to come home Piper was not having it. It was as if she knew and so she would just aggravate my sister so that she just said oh well, I guess she is yours now. To this day she acts like my sister is the only person she doesn't like. It is hilarious. My best friend was determined she was not going to like her because she didn't like how vocal a Bassett is naturally but Piper just turned on her charm and she tells everyone that Piper made her love her too. I can't imagine a more perfect breed now.
I'm turning 59 this year and I have 2. They've been my favorite breed for as long as i can remember. They are my 4th now and I love them more now than ever!❤❤❤
My basset hound has brought us so much love and joy He was a rescue from west Texas, took him to Colorado, and now back to south Texas. He is now ten years old and slowed down a lot however , I still try and get him out early for at least a walk around the block. Never ever been aggressive with another dog, cat, or any other animal. Not to mention SUPER 🥰 CUTE.
A basset hound will teach you how to NOT give a damn about all that is negative, petty and unnecessary. Thank you Sunshine and Happy for all the love and laughter. RIP in doggy heaven. Miss you forever.
I grew up with, and have had all sorts of dogs throughout my life. When we lost our Basset 2 years ago, I've never felt that level of grief and pain before...to this day even! It's a testament to just how perfect they are. Never have I had a breed of dog touch my heart and soul so deeply as a Basset has.
I lost my second Basset Percy and after a year mourning him I went to see some Basset pups and realised I could never replace him , so I went for a totally different type a cross breed ,he is a great dog but Percy was more human than dog as was the first Basset Ben .
On the "adorable" issue, I love the "sad eyes". You see the "sad eyes", but Bassets also have the happiest disposition. I love those types of contrasts.
We’ve had a number of different breeds…the only one I’ve had equal in ability to calm my PTSD was a remarkable long haired German Shepherd. But only a Basset can make you laugh until your ribs hurt!
Lazy Hound Racing, Thank you for your service. I'm so sorry about you service men and women coming home with PTSD. But thank heavens we have solutions for that, with 4 legs, (or maybe 3 or even 2). I'm not a vet, but I consider our cats my (respiratory) therapy cats. They have wakened me from sleep when I am too tired to use my inhaler or nebulizer. Calvin, in particular, will head bump me in the face, rather hard, doing his kitty 'chirrp', or Mews, bopp my nose, cheek, or press his face against my nose till I wake up. Hobbes sometimes does this too. He meows loudly, too. Neither one leaves my side, till they are satisfied that I am breathing easier. Sometimes, they will stay with me the rest of the night. They aren't trained to do this, they do this all on their own! Our hound, and my husband are attached at the hip. She is a gift to both of us, from our daughters, but she has her daddy wrapped around her big paws.😄 He will be lost when her time comes. Hope we have a couple more good years with her. She just turned 15. Quality Canned food has improved her spirit, agility, and life so far!
I was blessed to have a Bassethound for 13.5 years. She was a rescue from a shelter. Daisy Lu was my soulmate. I miss her so very much! She even learned how to open the fridge and help herself to frozen meatballs. She kept me as busy as a two year old child. When we moved, Daisy Lu helped me get to know my neighbors. I would love to get a Basset again, perhaps when I am retired.
And when you do get another dog, you will be honoring Daisy Lu by paying her love forward. She’d be wagging that tail if she knew that you will be again living the joy she shared with you. And you will have love in your life every day. Please make room to give your next love sooner than later. All our lives are too short, please do it as soon as you can, and thank you for sharing your sweet girl with all of us. I love that you gave me a mental image of Daisy Lu raiding the refrigerator for frozen meatballs. Now, let’s take a moment to close our eyes, sniff briskly and inhale deeply, and remember the lovely rich and complex body fragrance of our glorious dirty bassets! 👃
Rosie is beautiful! I have been owned by 13 Basset Hounds through the years, and everything you said about them is true. It is impossible to be in a bleak mood with a Basset!
In the late 70s my husband and I owned a bordering kennel. We also bred BassetHounds and showed them all over the East Coast I have long time friends from the sale of our puppies. We had four finished champions. No matter how difficult my day job was those Bassets would give me so much joy.
Ive watched this video many times. It's so soothing to see Rosie and you together. I'm very happy for you and your family. My basset Jordan brought nothing but joy.
I have a Basset Hound who is now 13 years old. They are very smart and loving, but extremely loyal and intuitive. There persona is so unique unlike other breeds. I love all dogs, but my dog Maggie has that special something you just can never ignore. She is the owner of this house...and she knows it. haha
Had 1 many years ago in Phoenix. Bought a small children's playpool for him while we were working during the day. He would lay in the pool when he got hot and run around it with his nose under the water. Loved that pool and we had fun watching him play in it. Unfortunately he escaped under the fence and got hit by a car. I still miss him dearly, called him Muttly.
My basenji boy made very good friends with a basset hound. They love playing and surprisingly, that basset hound has quite some energy. Such a lovely and friendly dog.
Everything you said is spot on. I have 7 month old siblings, Spanky and Darla, and they crack us up all the time. Adopting a rescue is always a great thing, too.
The best most lovable dogs ever… they are so friendly and sweet and funny, not sure about intelligence, all mine have been pure stupid,,, but I love them all soooo much.
Your so right. I had my Olliver for 10yrs and every day was a blessing. And they adjust to your work schedule or living acomadations. Best friend your ever have.
I had 2 bassets . They made me laugh every day they loved when i laughed at them . The way those big brown eyes look ay you is wonderful . I miss mine . They made my life better
Yes to all! And their bork sounds like a real dogs‘! And their pink puppy bellies are so kissable! And their owners usually give them ingenious names! And if you ever had one you won’t want to miss their smell 😉
I just got my first Baskett Hound puppy Thursday before Easter. Wasn't difficult to pick out a name. It had to be an Easter name so I named her Lilly. I was told she's a Bassett Healer cross from a Bassett and Blue Healer but Lilly looks more like a Bassett Hound. Absolutely beautiful. She's so smart for an 8 week old puppy. I know I'm going to really enjoy her.
@@stidwell91 Mine is a year and 4 months now and spoiled but so smart. She follows me all over the house into every room. Your Lillie lived a long time. I bet you really enjoyed her. Do you have any Bassetts now?
I love my Cleo the Basset Hound. She's a rescue dog. She loves people, kids, other dogs, etc. Very smart and very independent minded! She is a comedian! Can be a little high maintenance.
We have 2 bassets. 5 year old male and a 2 year old female. They are so different from each other. The female, Lucy is very shy around new faces, humans and other animals, but loves the immediate family and dislikes public places. Our male, Walter loves everyone and loves to go to the store. Lucy is soo smart, while Walter likes to play dumb. We love both to pieces, and there ARE great dogs to own. You pupper is absolutely gorgeous.
I had barny and Sheila. The two best friends I ever had. I last them both some years ago. And still miss them. I sure loved my two bassist and still do they are a beautiful dog too have !!
It's fascinating you Americans can easily pick up a basset at the pound, here in the UK I rarely even see them and they cost a fortune to obtain as pups. Worth it though, I want at least two for my family. They're beautiful, look at Rosie there, she's so majestic and tranquil. I love them, I think they're gonna be perfect around childeren and the elderly. All the best 🙏
That’s great news!! Don’t be concerned if your pup cries and howls more than any other dog you’ve had before. That’s par for the course with a Basset. I slept on the floor next to Rosie’s crate for at least a week before she got comfortable with her new home!!
@@bassethoundcentral9622 thanks for your comment!! We have a Boston terrier, she was relatively easy to potty/house train. Any suggestions/tips on house training a basset?
Several years ago I rescued a tri-color Basset Hound from our local Pennsylvania shelter, I was much younger and named him McGruff after the kids dog who did PSA's about crime prevention, he was one of my best dogs ever. McGruff and Magoo my English Bulldog were my two best dogs, however Magoo was a walking encyclopedia of health problems for my veternarian.
We just got a basset hound puppy 2 weeks ago and he's been a very fun puppy. He's very silly and a bit mischievous with that sniffer. Still trying to get a handle on the puppy biting but he's picked up all his other training really quickly.
Hi, We have a beautiful 6-month-old tricolor European Basset, she's adorable, funny and smart, we just love her! Your vids helped a lot!! Thank you Best, Attila (from Budapest, Hungary)
My Basset hound is a tricolor named Lord Reginald P. Wadsworth III. He's a big hit in the neighborhood and has been the family dog for all five of my kids for nine years now. They are the best dogs, period.
Rosie is absolutely gorgeous! We have our 2nd one (Tonka) now. Our 1st one was Jake. The love of my life. They are fantastic dogs!! I love them all. ❤️❤️
Bassets are the goofiest! I think it has a lot to do with their body shape and how they lie tummy up with front paws over their eyes. I have a blue basset of Gascony and my Loba is indeed a showstopper on walks because she is so rare outside of France. Her coat is ticked like Rosie’s.
I had a basset called Bertie.... I so miss him. I totally agree with what you say about them being so affectionate. I am not able to have one at present. Financially and that I am in rented accommodation.
Look Ryan I have owned Basset hounds all my life. Currently I have Churchill. We had Winston but he passed last year. I agree with everything you said but when you said they were intelligent my wife and I broke into laughter.
I think some people think they aren’t intelligent because they are stubborn. Ask them to do something for a treat and they know! I think that’s smart!😉
HAHAHAH the last point is totally accurate. My basset also sits on his butt sometimes and looks very funny. I really think that's a grat point because they always make us smile and they look so dumb and cute at the same time
I lost my childhood dog 10 years ago, a tall basset, and I haven't been able to love a dog the same way since. I got a working dog and had him for a little but he I stopped being able to take him to work and I had to rehome him (to a huge farm an hour south of me) and I honestly happy to do so, not happy to see him go but I knew he wasn't the right dog for me. I've really been thinking lately, after taking in a pregnant cat who had 5 kittens in my closet, raising the kittens, and remembering how little I like the majority of cats that I need another Basset. I just work with bassets.
Hi Ryan & Rosie. I've never had a Basset but We've had English Bulldogs and some of the things on your list reminds me so much of our Iris/English Bulldog, She was Fantastic to have with us. Our darling Iris passed about (5 yrs) now but we'll always missed her awesome funny quirks and some are very similar to the Bassets, I'm personally into more laid back breed like the Bassets and Bulldogs. But Rosie it's super precious and very mellow, thanks for the video and We'll keep checking in for more Rosie videos. All the best from Louisiana.
I agree they are very cute puppies and they are very affectionate and Rosie is absolutely adorable and just looking at her makes me want to just hug and kiss her cute face
I love our basset hound daisy! She is a very lovey dog. She is also what we call a neeedy greedy baby becuase she wants all the affection and is greedy for any and all food she can find. She used to get in trouble for stealing food from my son. Keep your garbage in the bathroom when your not home or you will have it spilled everywhere. Yes I also agree scent work is great! Daisy took a class and she did so well!
I got a Basset, for the first and only time, late last year. His name is Dave. He weighs 60 pounds, is six years old, and like no other dog I've ever had. He just seems so much more present and interactive and personable towards me than the other dogs. He's sweet and gentle and gets along perfectly with my poodle-mix, Louis, and chihuahua-mix, Rita, although, he's a bit wary of the chi, as she's fearless and will take his food. He's stubborn and refuses to e trained if he doesn't want to. He whines when he wants something to eat or my attention or to go outside. He loudly bays at other dogs, people, cats. He's very affectionate and will not be denied a pat on the head or a kiss on the face. He's lazy, except when I take him out in the fields and drop his leash, he will take off and disappear through the sage and prairie grass, chasing wild hares, for about 30 minutes. But he somehow knows when I and Rita and Louie are ready to jump in the car and leave for home, and he mysteriously shows up. He often sleeps on his back, totally relaxed and vulnerable, which I take as a high compliment. His paws are huge and fleshy, with giant toenails, that remind me of crocodile feet. His eyes are long, oval, and light brown, more human than the round black button eyes of my poodle and chi. He has freckles across his big white muzzle and long satin ears, that I have to clip up when he eats or they get sticky with food. est of all, he comes and plops his big head down on my lap or chest, anytime he feels like it, just expecting to be loved and admired, which he is. I'm a 80-year-old woman and found him too much and too strong and heavy to handle for the first few moths I had him, (He still is.) But when I thought of taking him to the Basset rescue, I would become horribly sad and teary, so I finally just accepted how much trouble he is and it changed my life. Because of Dave, I've become a better person. When he steals food off my plate now, right in front of me, I don't get upset at him. I just say, " no Dave", then wash the plate. When he wets inside (he does this if I don't give him a tasty dinner), I just say, "no, Dave", then clean it up. When he gets into the kitchen's waste basket a strows it all over the apartment, I just say, "no, Dave", and pick it all up. I've learned to control my negative reaction to things, in general, and just deal with it in a calm and productive way. Thanks, Dave, for being a teacher, a friend, and a really cool companion.
Hi Ryan and Rosie - cool video! I have a Beagle, and would say most things you said apply to the Beagle, too - APART FROM the energy levels. My oh my do young Beagles have crazy energy, constantly on their little feet beagling about. But super fun to live with, train, and witness their little noses at work. I'd be seriously interested in a Basset hound somewhere down the line, once our Beagle has grown into a halfway responsible adult, mostly because they seem to have all the pro's of the Beagle, but are way calmer.
We’ve had rescued Basset Hounds for years. They are like potato chips…once you have one…They are great loving companions. I am severely disabled by chronic pain and my current Basset companion taught himself not to step on me. We have steps up to my bed and he waits at the bottom until I move my legs. He likes our cat, but sniffed her one time too many and caught a claw to the nose…now he gives her a wide berth, lol. He is a ridiculous dog and makes us laugh. I recommend them as family pets. They do require a consistent, GENTLE hand when training.
My basset hound is my best friend. His name is droopy and he is a rescue dog. He appears regularly on my not-so-famous TH-cam channel. But yes, bassets are amazing.
To me, they look extremely depressed which, I am certain, would make me depressed. So I have gone the English Bulldog route and that has worked out very good for me. Great video. Thanks.
I see what your saying. As someone who has suffered with depression myself I can say Rosie has been a life saver for me. She seems to know when I need extra love and support! Thanks for sharing and I’m glad you found the right breed for yourself.
We have a Bassett and she is everything you said. Cute, stubborn and loveable. But you forgot to add how they love to roll in anything stinky. Their own "perfume"
You forgot the reason “you can never say no to that face” 🤣 they really are the best dogs I had two when I was younger now I have a baby boy named thorbert
The Basset Hound are the best dogs i think, really lovely and likes hugs sleep on the coach, and love ice cream, Yougurt, etc. i had a Basset Hound and she are not more with me, she must going because she was seek. i miss her so much.
A Basset Hound is just the BEST dog. Hands down!

Such great advice. Just Google Basset Hound rescue for your area and you're sure to find some great organizations to look into.
Amen. 5 of my 13 Bassets were rescues. I always sad they rescued me.
Absolutely. All three of mine were.

Everything you said is spot on. I have 7 month old siblings, Spanky and Darla, and they crack us up all the time. Adopting a rescue is always a great thing, too.
That’s so cool you have sibling Bassets!! I can only imagine the cute antics you must witness every day!! 😂
Love the names! They are "Little Rascals," indeed.
Omg my basset is named darla as well♥️♥️
The best most lovable dogs ever… they are so friendly and sweet and funny, not sure about intelligence, all mine have been pure stupid,,, but I love them all soooo much.
They are commonly docile. Friendly. I've had other rescues that were definitely on the aggressive side. Anyone can pet my basset. And they do. :)
I have been owned by four of them in my life. The most wonderful breed there is.
Basset Hounds are beautiful hounds!
I agree!
All my Basset hounds were adopted for a shelter 💓 they are the best dogs ever
It’s definitely a great idea to look at adopting a Basset Hound. Thanks for sharing!
I love basset hounds. Right now I'm down to one but I did foster bassets for a long time. I loved every one of them!
I absolutely love my boy blu. Best dog I’ve ever had
Your so right. I had my Olliver for 10yrs and every day was a blessing. And they adjust to your work schedule or living acomadations. Best friend your ever have.
You are so right, they will be your best friend for life!!
I love the kisses my bassets give me. And the way they howl when I sing something.
Basset kisses are the best! 😊
I had 2 bassets . They made me laugh every day they loved when i laughed at them . The way those big brown eyes look ay you is wonderful . I miss mine . They made my life better
Bassets do make life better!!
I just love my American Bassie Hound and he loves me and my family too.
I have just started fostering a basset...so blessed to have Olivia in my life absolutely a sweetipie
Wonderful!
I have had bassets for over 20 years.. they are funny smart loving ...
They are loyal
They sure are! Thanks for watching and sharing!!
the pictures of her sitting on the couch had me rolling at the end
Lol. Yea she’s pretty crazy; my kids call it her Jabba the Hutt pose!! Lol
Rosie is absolutely gorgeous and what a sweet disposition! She’s a love. 💕🐶❤️
Thank you!!
I miss my big girl every day!! Rosie is beautiful!!💚💜💙❤
Sweet. Stubborn. Smart. Fun. Sensitive. My big girl was just the sweetest, loving fur baby.
Thanks for sharing!
Yes to all! And their bork sounds like a real dogs‘! And their pink puppy bellies are so kissable! And their owners usually give them ingenious names! And if you ever had one you won’t want to miss their smell 😉
You're right about their bark, definitely not a high pitched yippie type bark.
Congratulations!! I’m so happy do both you and Lilly!! 😊
I had a bassett/beagle mix named Lillie. She lived 15.5 years.
Comedian. High maintenance. Sounds like my Rosie!! 😂
Thanks for watching!
Lucy and Walter sound so cute!! Thanks for sharing!
We’re getting our first basset this Friday! I’m so excited!
I bet he’s supper cute!! 😍 Enjoy!!
Hi,
We have a beautiful 6-month-old tricolor European Basset, she's adorable, funny and smart, we just love her! Your vids helped a lot!! Thank you
Best,
Attila (from Budapest, Hungary)
Wonderful! Enjoy your puppy!!
They have character!
Yes!
I love Rosie! Basset hounds are wonderful dogs. So much personality.
Rosy looks..... well fed.
She never misses a meal. 😝
We love our Daisy! I agree with every reason you gave!
Thanks for watching!! Daisy is SO adorable!!
@@bassethoundcentral9622 thank you
Aw my dog is also named daisy. Daisy duke to be specific.
My Basset hound is a tricolor named Lord Reginald P. Wadsworth III. He's a big hit in the neighborhood and has been the family dog for all five of my kids for nine years now. They are the best dogs, period.
I can picture Lord Reginald parading around his kingdom (neighborhood) with his head held high!!
Rosie is absolutely gorgeous! We have our 2nd one (Tonka) now. Our 1st one was Jake. The love of my life. They are fantastic dogs!! I love them all. ❤️❤️
Thank you!! 😊. They are definitely fantastic dogs!
Our dog is a Beagle/Basset mix, and everyone loves her!
Her good pal Sheldon is a full Basset. The two of them together are adorable. 🥰
So cute!
They are pleasant and kind. Very calm, deep thinkers.
Very true!
Agree with all !!! 😁 Bassets are such dorks and so entertaining:)
Love the video...a basset is an asset...
I just bought a basset hound Friday I love him sooooooo much and he's awesome
Awesome…enjoy!!!
She sounds like a cutie!!
I had a basset called Bertie.... I so miss him. I totally agree with what you say about them being so affectionate.
I am not able to have one at present. Financially and that I am in rented accommodation.
Thanks for sharing. 😊
i think they are the best. Daise, lilly , rose, 3 wonderful basset hounds missing them too much
She is a beautiful baby love that baby for ever hugs and kisses for ever ❤❤❤❤.
Look Ryan I have owned Basset hounds all my life. Currently I have Churchill. We had Winston but he passed last year. I agree with everything you said but when you said they were intelligent my wife and I broke into laughter.
Lol. No, you don’t think so.? 🤷♂️
I think some people think they aren’t intelligent because they are stubborn. Ask them to do something for a treat and they know! I think that’s smart!😉
HAHAHAH the last point is totally accurate. My basset also sits on his butt sometimes and looks very funny. I really think that's a grat point because they always make us smile and they look so dumb and cute at the same time
Yes, looking dumb and cute is very accurate! 😂
Basset’s are amazing!
Thanks for watching!!
Rosie is very needy, too. She has to be the center of attention. 😝
I have always wanted a Basset. We have had a beagle and a bull mastiff and now we are older with grandchildren we want a Basset.
Bassett hounds are like living with a cartoon character. Live my boy Turbo
Thanks so much for sharing! It sounds like you and Dave have a beautiful relationship!! ❤️
@@bassethoundcentral9622 Thanks, yes we do. He's like living with a Disney cartoon character.
Your the perfect parent for Dave. Amen 😊
Thank you, Chris. @@chriswerner5791
She is such a cute lil' corn chip!
Rosie looks so sweet. Yes bassets are the best dogs ever , only ever had bassets definitely the only dogs for me. Always making me laugh 🐾🐾
I totally agree!
Beautiful Rosie love her coat she’s a sweetheart
Thank you 😊
Vraiment magnifique ce basset hound et quelle belle robe ....!!❤
Hi Ryan and Rosie - cool video! I have a Beagle, and would say most things you said apply to the Beagle, too - APART FROM the energy levels. My oh my do young Beagles have crazy energy, constantly on their little feet beagling about. But super fun to live with, train, and witness their little noses at work. I'd be seriously interested in a Basset hound somewhere down the line, once our Beagle has grown into a halfway responsible adult, mostly because they seem to have all the pro's of the Beagle, but are way calmer.
Hello, and thanks for watching!!
I owned a basset for years. Such an amazing dog. I miss that moomie dog.
They are an amazing breed!!
She is gorgeous 💕
We’ve had rescued Basset Hounds for years. They are like potato chips…once you have one…They are great loving companions. I am severely disabled by chronic pain and my current Basset companion taught himself not to step on me. We have steps up to my bed and he waits at the bottom until I move my legs. He likes our cat, but sniffed her one time too many and caught a claw to the nose…now he gives her a wide berth, lol. He is a ridiculous dog and makes us laugh. I recommend them as family pets. They do require a consistent, GENTLE hand when training.
I like that…Bassets are like potato chips!! 😂 So true, so many people I’ve heard from have more than one.
My basset hound is my best friend. His name is droopy and he is a rescue dog. He appears regularly on my not-so-famous TH-cam channel. But yes, bassets are amazing.
Droopy is so cute!!
I just got my basset, love her so much!
Yayyy!! Many happy memories to come!
I loooooooove Basset Hounds they’re my favorite breed of Dog 🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️
Mine too!! 😊
We have a Bassett and she is everything you said. Cute, stubborn and loveable. But you forgot to add how they love to roll in anything stinky. Their own "perfume"
Ugghhh. That it is never a good day when they do that. 🤦♂️
You forgot the reason “you can never say no to that face” 🤣 they really are the best dogs I had two when I was younger now I have a baby boy named thorbert
So true…those eyes!!
There are also good Hunting and Watch Dogs Too!!
Very true!!
Best breed ever! Nuff said.
I agree!!
The Basset Hound are the best dogs i think, really lovely and likes hugs sleep on the coach, and love ice cream, Yougurt, etc. i had a Basset Hound and she are not more with me, she must going because she was seek. i miss her so much.
Sorry for your loss. Thankfully you have so many great memories of her.
I got my puppy this morning she looks alot like your cutie! I named her Paris Houndin!
You must be so excited! Fun times ahead. 😊
@@bassethoundcentral9622 I am so happy! She's doing a great job training me!
